    Truffle gnocchi, eggplant parmigiana
    Sarah B.

Great spot! Servers were all SO wonderful, they really make the meal a special experience. Food was also super tasty, the sauce on the eggplant was so flavorful! Like that the gnocchi was homemade. Also got the zucchini flowers which were good, but maybe try something else because there's better places to get it. Ambiance was fancy and fun!

The food was great, definitely well worth the Michelin star. The textures and combination of unique flavors really made it a delightful dinner. The service was what truely made it exceptional! Marco was our server and he was attentive to us through our dining experience, despite how crowded it was. The view and ambience gave it an elevated look compared to other restaurants in positano.

We made reservations and were seated in the wine room. Very cozy with a total Italian vibe. We were treated to a chef's special for an appetizer. The fish cake was a favorite of our table. We also ordered burrata which came with crustinis, beautifully colored tomatoes and fresh mozzarella cheese. I chose the linguini for my entree and was offered my choice of the menu option or a special truffle version they were serving that night. I opted for the special and it was delicious. Nice creamy but lighter sauce and the truffles provided a unique and special flavor. Our service was excellent. Not knowing Italian wines, our server helped me make two excellent bottle choices for our table. All meals were enjoyed. Great experience.

The food here was a 10/10. Me and the wife have been to Michelin star restaurants and this is by far better than them. The food was insane. The service was also amazing including the decor and outside seating. The lamb chops were extremely tender and delicious. The bao was both of our favorites and the meatball dish was extremely appetizing. Just when we thought it could not get better the desert dish topped it all off. The chief was giving out samples of various foods to try as well throughout. We recommend everyone to come and enjoy the amazing food. This was worth it

We were running out of time to eat dinner and knew next2 was open till 11:30 so we arrived around 10:20pm or so. We tend to eat late and that's super tough around Positano. Unfortunately, everything closes early. Anyways, we ordered wine, the octopus, gnocchi and the meatballs. The amuse bouche was arinchini, nothing special. The octopus was excellent! Gorgeous presentation and we enjoyed the flavors. Now to the entrees... honestly both were underwhelming. They were both good portion wise but lacking in the "being an elevated dish" department. I was pretty surprised because we had high hopes for this place knowing that it has a Michelin star. Anyways that was about it for the food. We also ordered red wine that was just opened and it had not been aerated at all. We let them know and it was fine but again, I've always had good red wine at dinner (not just opened) everywhere else I've been to eat around the world. We're from Boston and I must say I've had amazing food there and no one has a Michelin star! I'd recommend doing research before eating at the highest rated places in positano, I think there is great food but it can be hit or miss + have to account for tasting menus being the center of attention.

This is actually the best meal we have had while in Italy over the last 9 days. Although expensive the service was outstanding and the food quality was even better. We enjoyed the scallops(3) 1st course, my wife had the Linguine Calamari, I had the Vitello (like Beef Wellington), topped off with a delicious encrusted Praline Mousse. In addition the chef provided mini tasters. This was outstanding as we did not order them and they were extremely delicious little bites.

The food here was great. The Tagliolini is not on the menu, but it is very good. You will have to ask for it because it's not on the menu. It is more of a noodles with a little bit of truffle sauce. I'm not a truffle person, but this is not heavy on the truffle taste. If you like spaghetti, the spaghetti is good, but it is really al dente. I was thankful because we did not have a reservation, but they still sat us. The ravioli was OK I've definitely had better. If you are a fan of blue cheese, you would love the ravioli. The drinks here are great. We had the next2 rose and it was very refreshing. The cappuccino was amazing and definitely was a pick me upper! My favorite thing to eat was the chocolate dessert. Make sure you save room for it!

We arrived early for our reservations and were promptly greeted and seated. We asked the waiter to bring us his suggestion for a glass of wine (med to full body) and a glass of aperol spritz. It was a terrific glass of wine and the best aperol spritz in Positano. We watched ordered an antipasto and then a pasta and the catch of the day. Both were delightful. We finished the meal off with a fruit dessert and a fresh glass of wine. It was a great evening in a romantic setting. They played nice music and the staff were attentive and friendly.

The food was awful and so expensive. We did the tasting menu. This was the most expensive and worst meal I had in Positano. I'd skip it. Dishes didn't make sense. The order the tasting menu was in was...just bizarre.

Next 2 was delicious. Located in Positano, Italy, Next 2 features great ambiance and an upscale vibe. The service was respectful and efficient. I had high expectations for this place and it definitely met them. The food was fantastic. Both pastas we ordered (pictured) were so delicious. The pasta with potato was very unique and very filling. The tomato's in Positano are amazing and the tomato sauce was some of the best I've had. I would recommend either one of these options. The desserts were amazing. Personally I liked the lemon cake better but you can't go wrong with either. This is due to the fact that they are famous for their lemons in Positano. If you find yourself in Positano, Italy and are looking for a upscale dining experience Next 2 is a great option. Give it a try!

And the cutest little maitre d'

Had an amazing dining experience for my birthday at Next2. Service was super attentive and the food (and cocktails) were top notch. We are so happy that we booked a table here and highly recommend it. We will dine here again the next time we are in Positano!

    Starters complimentary

4 stars for Next 2. It's hard to give anything higher because we didn't try enough dishes. They brought out complimentary bites that were good but average. The bread selection was a nice compliment while we waited for our dishes. I ordered the fish and my husband ordered the veal. His dish was very good and mine was not bad. I probably wouldn't order again. The ambience and service were all good.

I highly recommend this restaurant. We didn't do the pre fixe menu but ordered many items off it (octopus, zucchini blossom, ahi tuna). The food, drinks, and service were all superb. Environment was charming and beautiful.

Excellent meal with more interesting choices than other local restaurants. One of us had seared tuna and the other had a pesto gnocchi.

Many other reviewers have mentioned that this is the best meal that they've had in the entire country and unfortunately, without sounding like a false advertisement, I absolutely must agree. This was the best meal I have had in the entire country and I have traveled Italy extensively. They only have a couple of tables, the brothers, along with mama and Bridget, deliver an incredible meal, incredible experience, and the way the patrons feel after the experience cannot be matched. What the hell if we ordered Caesar salad, then meatballs, then gnocchi, then seafood with linguine, then the local catch of the day which today was amberjack, then ribeye, then dessert. I'm not alone in my prayer of this restaurant, my wife and my three children are unanimous that this was the absolute best meal that they have had in Italy. I strongly recommend this restaurant, but I would mention that you need to get there early because they do not take reservations. The Caprese salad was fresh and bursting with flavor, and the prosciutto salad was beautifully balanced with just the right mix of savory and sweet. The house Posides Spritz was refreshing and perfectly balanced made with a cherry liquor, and the limoncello spritz was smooth, bright, and easily one of the best we've had in Italy. We finished with an affogato that was the perfect finale, rich espresso poured over creamy gelato for a sweet, satisfying finish along with the seasonal cake. Service was warm, friendly, and attentive throughout the evening, making the experience feel personal and relaxed. The restaurant is a bit of a walk from the city center with a few stairs to climb, but it's absolutely worth it. The stroll back down afterward is the perfect way to walk off the meal. Between the amazing food, stunning terrace views, and kind service, Posides is a true Positano gem.

This was our first meal after arriving in Positano and we couldn't have asked for a better one. We arrived in Positano around 10 PM on a Saturday night. This restaurant was on our itinerary and was a 2 minute walk from our hotel. We walked up around 10:30 and they sat us immediately on the outdoor patio. We ordered grilled octopus to start and it might have been the freshest and tastiest grilled octopus I've ever eaten. We also ordered a spicy green sauce pasta that was top 3 best things we ate on our entire trip. I wish I knew the name of it so that I could mention it here. We also ordered a prosciutto and burrata pizza. My wife isn't a huge fan of prosciutto so she didn't enjoy it as much as I did. But I would happily eat that pizza again and again. The staff were very kind and friendly. They didn't ever seem annoyed that we came in later at night. Every day that we walked past them to go into the main center of Positano, they smiled and invited us back in or asked how we were doing. They don't have the same view that other restaurants might have, but what they lack in a view, they make up for in quality and service.
