We love Newks! I almost always get a half pimento cheese sandwich with their tomato bisque - so so good. I also really enjoy their chicken salad sandwich. I love that they give you big plastic cups to take home with you and if you're feeling indulgent try a chocolate peanut butter crispy - it's what it sounds like - a peanut butter rice cripsy treat with chocolate on the top. I visited this restaurant with friends on a recent trip to Dallas. It has a large menu and lots of offerings, but we were really unimpressed with their unfriendly service. The salad I had was ok -- nothing special -- and the lobster bisque was lukewarm. We also found out after eating here that people who finance / invest in Newks are not gay friendly and do not support equal rights. So, if you care about equal rights for all and abhor people who use Bible scripture as an excuse to condemn gay people then this may not be the place for you (I'm a Christian who believes in equality, btw). read more

I had the chicken salad sandwich it was fantastic, my boyfriend got the Newks Q it too was tasty! The 4 cheese Mac n cheese is the best! And I also got a brownie and red velvet cake all which were delicious! I didn't give it 5 stars Because the service sucked ass! I went to Newks on mother's day and it was amazing! I had the Deb and it was pretty delicious. My cousins both got salads that they loved. This is going to be our new place, plus you really can't beat the Sunday deals for kids, it really makes it worth it. We will definitely be back! read more

This & Jason's Deli are by far the best in this segment of restaurants. I would eat here over Panera, McAlister's, Subway, Baker Bros etc hands down any day of the week. Reason - their food is fresh and tastes like much higher quality. I've eaten at this location three times and been happy every visit. I've tried the 5-cheese pizza, the chicken salad sandwich, the pepperoni pizza & the strawberry cake. Everything tasted so flavorful and fresh. The pizzas has a pizzeria style crust on them - nothing like any other competitor offers & came out hot. The cake was perfectly moist with real strawberry flavor present in every bite. The chicken salad wasn't too heavy, and the sliced pecans added a nice texture to the chicken salad. On the pepperoni pizza, which was great, I will probably ask for no tomato next time. It was one of those pizzas that had whole tomato slices on top along with pepperoni (more like a margherita pizza with pepperoni), whereas I'd prefer more plain pepperoni & cheese. Just a heads up to ask for the tomatos removed if that's your preference as well. They also give you 32oz plastic cups that can be washed and kept at home. I feel the pricing is really reasonable based on the food quality. I am glad I gave this place a try randomly & look forward to enjoying many other menu options in the future! read more

Food was good. I got a half sandwich & salad. The location is great and the environment was nice. They bring food to your table and bus your table afterwards. There is a drink station with lots of choices. My only complaint is there is no wifi or power outlets to charge a laptop near any table. Otherwise great place, just come with a fully charged laptop and your hotspot. read more

Meh....Place looks great and I've only tried it once, but was not impressed. Went with the Red, White and Blue salad. Salad was over priced for what was served. You're better off at Macalister's Deli, Panera, or Corner Bakery.(Newk's, in my opinion, falls under the same category as those places.) Maybe the soups, sandwiches, and/or pizza are better. Went there for lunch on a Tuesday with a co-worker right at the mad lunch rush hour of 11:30 a.m. Great selection of soups and salads but not overwhelming. I had the Newk's Special Salad which surprisingly only added up to only 593 calories and was recognized by myfitnesspal.com. Only con would be to use less salad dressing since it was a little soggy. My co-worker had the shrimp po-boy and lobster bisque. Her comments were the soup was not the best lobster bisque but the po-boy was delish. Not a typical fried po-boy but grilled with tomatoes. All in all, both agreed we would return or add it to the lunch rotation. read more

I've been here 4-5 times in the past month. The food is very good and reasonably priced but every time I've been in I've had to ask someone to clean off a table. This past visit silver wear was dirty as well. I asked one of the staff clearing tables to wipe ours down and he looked the other way, as if I had not spoken to him. I would have given 5 stars but basic cleanliness can't be overlooked no matter how busy you are. read more

Newks is so yummy!! I love their macaroni and cheese. My favorite to get there is the soup and sandwich combo. The desserts are great they have all different kinds of cakes and goodies. Their cups are really big and plastic so once you buy one for. Your drink you can keep it. I loved their patio. The service isn't bad either. The food here is consistently good. However, I am not sure I would recommend the pizzas. They are a little topping heavy given the type of crust they use. Also, do not order the pizza for delivery...I did once and was very disappointed. On the good side, everything else I have ordered has been delicious. Be sure to get a side of their bread/butter pickles...best ever! also the chocolate cake is awesome but they do run out of it. only other feedback I would have for them, is that often when I go to the store to order, they have flyers and signage for items that look great. however when I ask for them, they said they don't carry them or are out of them. read more

Horrible customer service from the front people, really poor attitude from the person that took my order. She looked like she was bothered that I was there ordering food from their brand new restaurant. The Greek salad I ordered was terrible, lettuce was old, and the salad had nothing to do with a Greek salad other than the dressing. Overpriced. I went a second time and the sandwich I ordered came with no sauce, even though the menu states to have a sauce on the side. Management is great but they need to train their stuff on customer service, this is very important specially for a new restaurant. I'm sure they want people coming back....... Stopped by to get a salad to-go and was pleasantly surprised with the ambiance, service and quality of food. I was looking for something simple and not too calorie laden, so I chose the Southern Salad combo. The chicken salad portion was generous and the dressing allowed the taste of the chicken breast meat shine through. The mixed greens were topped with housemade croutons (better than La Mad's) and I counted 13 grape tomatoes! That's about 1/2 of the pint containers you buy at the grocer's. So I was really impressed by the value and the quality of this $6.95 salad. I am quite tired of ordering $7-8-9 salads to find the star ingredients are minimal but with lettuce galore! The service was very attentive (it was off-peak) and as I was leaving, an employee rushed out of the kitchen to give me plasticware which he thought had been left out (it hadn't). Now that kind of concern is pretty rare these days! I do hope they make it. This is my neighborhood and we are starved for affordable quick meal options. I don't care for Baker Brothers and there is only so much Pavoratti full blast I can tolerate while being bumped and pushed in Eatzi's too narrow aisles. read more

I come here when I am tired of the same ole restaurants, if you like artsy food then this is the place, they serve beer and wine here. You order your food when you walk in then get a number and take your seat and they bring it to you quickly. I love Pimento cheese and they have a couple different choices of that fare. Make sure and get some bread sticks that is on the table near the entrance they are so good! One note: No WIFI in here, would be great if they had it, would be a quiet place to work if needed. read more

The ham sandwich and the steak sandwich are excellent. The salads are large and fresh and their soups are tasty and served at the right temperature. I'm a bit confounded by the other reviews. Spicy mustard is too spicy....for who, an infant? Loquacious worker....at a time when we can hardly get someone to look up from a smartphone? Go to Jason's or Deli News.....how about I don't want to go to Jason's every time I want a quick, decent meal (and I'm a Jason's fan). No, it's not Capital Grille, fine dining, etc. but it's well executed quick casual. Can you make a sandwich cheaper at home, yeah...can you make a strawberry cake or lobster bisque in the 10 minutes it would take to get it there, nope not hardly.
