This place is located in the food court of Menlo Park Mall and they specialize in fries and hot dogs. I've been here twice now and my experience both times were drastically different. The first time was a bit of a mess. Orders were slow coming out, customers were confused on if their orders were ready because they didn't really call them out, and the fries we got were limp (pictured) and they didn't fill up the basket AND skimped on the toppings. They were also unsalted but they provided a communal salt shaker where the napkins, utensils, and ketchup were so that was interesting. We went again and this time, they were more efficient and did make an effort to call out your order. The fries also held up better and were even crispy on the exteriors even though there was a slight wait between my two items. I also felt like there was an adequate amount of toppings and fries. There was no communal salt shaker and the condiment/napkin area was a bit of a mess and running low on items, but it was fixed when I notified them so that's good. Both times, we ordered: LARGE FRIES: it's a basket of fries around $8. REGULAR VEGGIE FRIES: this is their medium container of fries topped with cheese sauce, sour cream, and diced tomatoes. They also come with green onions but I opted out of that. It's a good combination of flavors and fancier than just fries with a hint of "veggies". It's close to $10. Overall, a good place for us - we're allium free vegetarians - to get a savory snack in the mail. Service seems to be all over the place and no matter the quality, no one seems happy about their job, haha. The fries do cost a bit more than at your typical fast food joint, but they're open 7 days a week. One of my kids has multiple food allergies and the fries here are gluten free and fried in sunflower oil. We usually go to Chick-fil-A for fries but we seem to only go to the mall on Sundays so NY Fries got on our radar. He is allergic to wheat, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, and avocado (among other things) and he can have the fries here with no issues so we'll continue to support them. read more

So dirty!!! I understand you can't clean mid day but it's very off-putting. You can see the food on the line is just all messy and cross contaminating other containers of dips and toppings. At one point the employee swept stuff into a corner to get it out of the way... was so gross. read more

Wanted a quick mall snack. My husband and I split "the works" fries. They were not skimpy on the toppings which was a plus. The hotdog was nothing to rave about. If I returned, I'd definitely stick to fries. Since it's located in the food court, dining is pretty basic, there's plenty of open seating in the cafeteria style area. They had some samples outside - regular fries .. the menu looked tempting . There were only 2 options for veggies and we chose the nacho fries... no one in the queue but it took someone 5-8 mins to take our order . Service was a bit slow while ordering . The lady who made the fries was quick ... The quality and taste of the nscho fries was good .. but it just fills up your tummy . We got a large pack for 3 of us and we couldn't even eat 25% of the pack .. should have ordered a small one . Good concept .. liked mixing all these with fries . .. we liked their chipotle sauce . I came here on my lunch break. The woman who took my order was very friendly and helpful in helping me determine which type of fries to get. Because I enjoy spicy food she suggested the Nacho Fries and it was a great choice. I ordered the small thinking I would just have a snack but she very generously packed the fries into the small box and layered it with nacho-goodness. I underestimated the size of that box and left very full and also very happy. The price was steep for fries but the ingredients tasted fresh and of good quality, paired with the generous portions of fries and toppings, I feel it was a fair price for something I will have on occasion. Medium and large and definitely going to be great for sharing. My friend was with me and ordered the bacon & cheese topping, I had a bite of hers and it was also really good and tasted high quality, the bacon bits were fresh, not those crusty old shelf stable pieces you get at the supermarket. Next time I'll definitely try a hot dog which they are also known for. Was excited to try New York Fries in the Menlo park mall since they advertise classic poutine. Got basic poutine fries and pulled pork fries. Fries were fresh cooked, but a little thin for me. While they say Wisconsin cheese curds, these lacked any "squeak" in either dish and the gravy was so hot it melted some of them. The pulled pork was smoke forward (?liquid smoke?) with little meat. Unfortunately was hoping this to become a good to for when I want poutine, but will skip in future. read more

Food is what it is, you'll get fries but at restaurant prices. Service is not the worst but not something too special. Atmosphere is nice there's plenty of room to get around at least when I was there.
