Za'atar Bagel, Double Chocolate Bagel, Honey Vanilla Schmear, Chive Schmear

The seasonal tomato bagel sandwich is genuinely one of the best bites of my year so far. The chewy pretzel bagel, sweet, juicy heirloom tomatoes, rich chive-garlicky cream cheese, and the tomato vinaigrette on top gave it the perfect amount of acidity to cut the richness. Incredible - every bite was better than the last. Already missing it.

Heirloom Tomato Toast - the best thing i've ever had!

Literally the best bagel spot in San Diego! The bagels are always fresh and crispy, the cream cheese options are delicious, and the overall vibe is amazing. The staff is also so sweet. Can't recommend this place enough!

This seemed like a cute little place. I won't be returning though because I ordered the turkey sandwich and 80% of the turkey in it was all fat.

Very solid bagel place and the chili crunch cream cheese was great. Really liked the chew and texture of the bagels. Only complaint was that the strawberry cream cheese was very runny and almost felt like yogurt on top of the bagels rather than cream cheese.

Ham sandwich

Best bagel in San Diego by far!! So good and every toast and sandwich they make have such good flavors and amazing ingredients. I've never been disappointed with a bagel before! Their coffee and matcha is also great. Also the service is super kind and welcoming and Cheryl is the sweetest! I come literally every weekend

Smoked fish & heirloom tomato

First of all these are the best bagels in San Diego. This is coming from someone who lived in New York City land of the best bagels. Secondly, the service here is always excellent. They are the sweetest people with the best taste, all their menu items are amazing I cannot recommend this place enough. Always worth the short wait. My favorite summer bagel was the heirloom toast and favorite fall so far has been the mushroom toast on a french onion bagel.

Chili crisp everything bagel with chili crisp scallion cream cheese

Went specifically for the chili crisp everything bagel and chili crisp scallion cream cheese, and was not disappointed. I'd order both again. They're both more "spiced" than actually spicy, I would add significantly more for my personal taste but the flavor absolutely comes through as they prepare it. I liked that they didn't toast it, and gave the cream cheese on the side so you can make your bagel to personal taste. It also makes the line move quick! A bagel + cream cheese = ~ $6.75 Street parking is easy enough Decent number of tables out front Accepts Apple pay

Made the pilgrimage to new wave bagel and it didn't disappoint. Great sourdough flavor, SUPER CHEWY and great crunchy crust. Also super delicious cream cheese! Which if I recall is made in-house or produced local? I'll definitely be back when visiting San Diego County. Also the stamp of approval from my little guy! He's requested I try to recreate some pretzel bagels for him at home. Thank you to the staff, who were very attentive and super sweet to my littles whom tagged along with me.

Stopped by New Wave Bagel in Encinitas to grab bagels for a few of my accounts in the area and had such a great experience. The staff was incredibly nice and went above and beyond once they realized the bagels were for multiple shops. They helped me split everything into separate boxes and even made sure each one had cream cheese and utensils for spreading. That level of thoughtfulness and customer service really stood out. The bagels themselves were fresh and really good, with a solid variety to choose from. Yes, it's a little on the pricier side, but honestly that's pretty standard for Encinitas. You can tell they care about what they're putting out. I'm especially excited to come back once they expand their kitchen. Sounds like hot sandwiches are coming soon, which will be a game changer. I'm a sucker for a breakfast bagel sandwich. Definitely looking forward to bringing more of my clientele food from here and sharing the love. Great bagels, great service, great location!

I was in the area and decided to check this place out. I had really wanted to try the lox n bagel, but upon entering found out they weren't able to do sandwich styles yet, or even put cream cheese on your bagels. As much as I wanted to try their bagels anyway I was sad to see their everything didn't have everything on it. So instead I ordered the coffee cake. Man, not only was that thing huge, it was moist and delicious. Hopefully the next time I visit, they will be able to serve more items, otherwise I'll just stick to that coffee cake.

Finally got around to trying new wave bagel! They are only open 4 days a week which was part of the reason it took me so long. We didn't have a long line which was great (I've heard it can get pretty lengthy). They have a ton of interesting flavors to chose from. I went with a rosemary sea salt and a honey butter salt. They also have a wide variety of cream cheese flavors. One thing I didn't love was there is no toaster. Now, arguably a toaster isn't necessary for bagels when they come out fresh & warm, but these were not warm so that was a bit of a miss for me. Still enjoyed them nonetheless and would go back to try some other flavors. I didn't have the opportunity to try the coffee but my friends did and said it was great. We briefly met the roaster who was kind and friendly, much like the rest of the staff.

Ts is pretty fire bro. I'm no bagel connoisseur but it was crispy outer but fluffy inner, no rubbery sensations here. Also the cream cheese choices are absolutely game changing here. This chili crisp crack cream cheese was so good had me straight eating it out the container with no bagel left.

Absolutely adore the creative bagel and cream cheese flavors that new wave keeps putting out! The nori sesame bagel with chili crisp scallion cream cheese was such a cool fusion of flavors

They also serve espresso and coffee, making it a great morning stop for breakfast. the shop is set up as a grab-and-go spot, though I'd love to see a couple of outdoor tables added in the future so customers can sit and enjoy their food. Ok, PB sourdough stands on it's own AND gives me every excuse to eat some more butter! Toasts up nice no matter what you like from a soft to burnt scale. But the sourdough was the gateway drug for me. It's impossible to go into the Prager Bros bake shops and avoid seeing something even more additive. For me, the almond croissant just sings the perfect duet with a good cup of coffee. They rotate in some scones that are equally tempting. The honey walnut, limited offering, was my favorite until they stopped making it. The seasonal scone (date and coconut) is more than a fine substitution. They serve baguette sandwiches that are crispy crunchy and delicious. Highly recommend them.....the danger is you won't be able to drive by one. Heck, you get hooked enough, when you get in your car your Waze may prompt you with the time and distance to Prager Bros. Could be worse I suppose! You're welcome!

I went with the Coconut Cream Pie Latte, and this was such a good one. The coconut flavor actually comes through, but what really sold me was the real dried coconut on top. Such a simple detail, but it added the perfect little bit of texture and made the drink feel much more special. The salted cold foam paired really well with it too and kept the whole thing from being overly sweet. My only complaint is parking. It can definitely be a little challenging to find a spot, so give yourself some extra time if you're coming when they're busy.
