I had a great experience! First of all, they made sure they protected the customers as well as themselves from Covid. They cleaned the glasses after usage, wore masks, made sure everyone wore masks, and it was extremely clean. Secondly, everyone was friendly and they did not force you to do something you were not comfortable with. They did not force me to buy glasses or contacts. They did give me an estimate how much it would cost and let me go home to think. Not only that, during the testing they answered all the questions I asked. The optometrist is very knowledgeable. The office was efficient and they have plenty of street parking. My prescription didn't change much compared to my previous years, and I wasn't pressured to get a new pair of eyeglasses like other optometry I visited in the past. The Optometrist office we previously had for 20 years, stopped taking my vision insurance so I had to search and search for a new one, which I hate doing. Once I find a medical professional I like to stick with them for as long as I can. I found New Vision and hoped and prayed that we would like it. Well, we loved it. Let me first say that we are a gay couple and we quickly established that we were. We were treat with the respect that businesses should give to their clients. The office looks new and very clean. They handle all protocols during this pandemic. Everything is cleaned and disinfected between clients. The staff is awesome. Paige was wonderful at the front desk, she assisted answering questions and did our pre-testing. Dr. Nguyen made us feel welcome, he was warm and friendly and explained what he was doing. He welcomed questions and never pressured to sell us something we didn't need. He was very thorough in his diagnosis and explained everything in detail. Lucy handled eye wear. She went over in detail what our insurance pays for and what eyewear we can get. Again, never tried to upsell or pressure me. I have a good ear when it comes to someone feeding me BS. This was our first time visit to an optometrist for both my daughters (8&11). Paige was very friendly making sure the girls were comfortable taking the photos. I'd put off submitting my new patient paperwork, but received daily gentle reminders via email and telephone calls every few days. I changed my eye doctor at the beginning of the year because I was just not happy with my service. I am so happy I did! I went to my first appointment at New Vision and felt so taken care of and felt like everyone there cares about the patients. The offices are clean and have new equipment. No air blown in your eyes! I went to see Dr. Brian Nguyen a couple of weeks ago for my annual checkup. Dr. Nguyen and Dr. Eurri Choi had taken over Dr. Wainwright's practice when he retired. I had been going to Dr. Wainwright for many years and was not sure what to expect. I was very pleasantly surprised. Dr. Nguyen is young, pleasant, professional and very knowledgeable. The equipment is new and very modern and for this reason the eye testing process took a lot less time then previously and also gave me more confidence in the results. Dr. Nguyen explained the process at every step and answered all my questions. I went in to see him last year in the Camarillo location for what turned out to be a simple case of dry eye, and was very impressed with his knowledge, holistic approach and patience in explaining the condition he to me.
