When the auto text came in, they charged me $22 to clean the suit. I also noticed there was a bad iron mark on the sleeve which I didn't even talk about but would never wear the suit in public. The damage was so bad, I can't wear the suit. Just about the worse customer service I've ever had. Really bad dry cleaner.

We've used them four or five times now after having an awful experience with the other nearby dry cleaner, and so far so good. Things have been clean, on time when promised, haven't been ruined, and the pricing isn't bargain but it's fine. I give them extra credit for knowing their limitations: another piece that had been ruined by the other cleaner was in an uncleanable condition, and they admitted as much before taking our money to try to clean it. Places that do the cleaning themselves tend to know this stuff much more than the ship-off-to-cleaning-plant storefront operations. We haven't tried any tailoring/alterations here as yet, but they do them on-site. I'm giving them four stars within the category of dry cleaners largely because every other place has been a two or a one thus far, so you figure within same-class they're well above average.

They are supposed to be open until 6pm I managed to get there one day a few minutes before 6 and when I pulled up the clerk shut the lights off and stayed in the back until I left. I sat outside for a few minutes to ask why she would do such a thing but got tired of waiting. Should have read the reviews first.

I also asked them to fix a tear, clean up a stain, and condition my beloved leather bomber jacket. The person I spoke to was very interested in the coat, we chatted a good bit about it, and she assured me it would be well taken care of. A couple hours later, she called and informed me that they'd noticed that an inside panel at the back of the neck was also quite damaged. She wanted to make sure I was aware of this (I was) and assured me that they would do all they could to repair this as well because "I know how much this coat means to you." I didn't think this patch even could be repaired, which I why I hadn't mentioned it--to have it be noticed and addressed with such kindness means a lot to me. But this Cudney's certainly impressed me. It was brightly lit and warm, and for a self-service laundromat, it was also very clean and well maintained. My mom has been to other laundromats in the area (beyond the Cudney's cleaners), and she likes this site much better - very few machines out of order (and when they are, they're marked), and she's never had a problem with close smelling off after being washed here (she has at others). It does seem to me that for a laundromat of this size, there weren't enough chairs for customers to sit. Also, I was not aware of a bathroom on site. I guess you have to walk next door to Stewart's?
