I have had this done before; I have even done it myself (not rocket science...). I own other shirts from this maker, in this size, and I know what needs to be done and about how much time it takes to do the job. First, I got an argument about how much to shorten the sleeves. That settled (I was wearing the same model shirt, with shortened sleeves, and it was easy to take a measurement...), I then was told, come back in a week. Not. First, someone needed a rush alteration on a wedding gown. Then there was this, then there was that. Several weeks later, two shirts were done -- but to the wrong length. One had been started -- I took it back and will finish the job myself. I ended up paying for the two that were done wrong, just to get out of there. I like the woman; she is a nice person, we share common interests, and I would be happy to have her as a neighbor. As a tailor, however, I cannot recommend her services.

I dropped off 3 items of clothing; 2 blouses and a winter coat. I was charged for 4 items of clothing because the coat had a removable hood that was an extra 4.19. Next, I wanted to pay with a gift card, but apparently, credit card information is stored and saved on their computer and they just used that one without telling me. When I stated that it was the wrong form of payment, the employee just shrugged her shoulders and said it was already done and if I wanted, I could take it up with the manager tomorrow. Never again!

This establishment came highly rated online and has been a local spot since the 1920s. I couldn't have been more impressed and happy to have met Paris who helped me right away get my clothing needs sorted and a pickup date to match. Great to make connections and new networking in our new city and def highly recommend Commodore Cleaners. Will be back 12 out of 10 stars. Now I won't look a mess for this very important job interview and found the best cleaners within a short drive or walk from us.

I don't know what happened to this place but it is in terrible condition compared to my last trip…read morethere. The laminate floor is peeling and filthy, the machines have mold in the place you add detergent, and are obviously never cleaned, the washers are not spinning at high speed anymore so clothes come out really wet and cost a fortune to dry. In my case, I had filled 8 washers and was half way through drying my clothes, sheets and towels when the ONE functional change machine wouldn't accept my $20 bill, which meant I spent $40 to wash and then bring home soaking wet clothes. I will never go there again. What a shame, it used to be so nice. Now it's clear that whoever owns it just considers it a cash cow and is ripping people off and driving the business into the ground. I'm taking my business elsewhere.
