We stopped by for Friday night dinner, and was not expecting much from this local Chinese restaurant special for Northern East regional flavor. However, the dishes we ordered were surprisingly delicious and flavorful. I recommend the fish filets and the sesame balls desert. The restaurant is very clean and spacious so you don't worry about the social distancing.

This is my go to Chinese in town. Always the same table -:) I like what they wrote in Chinese in the bathroom that please only take (the paper) what you need. Service is good. Although the food is on the sweet side but they're generally very good. We've Eggplant with basil Shredded pork Pork joint in garlic sauce Shiraz house red Street parking and a parking lot in the back.

We are their Zongzi super fans! Duck parts are another superb appetizer. Other dishes we tried were somehow overpowered with greasy sauce.

I did takeout on a Thursday at this restaurant. It's located in Great Neck so there are lots of shops in the area. Right behind it is metered Municipal parking. There is metered parking on the street also. The entrance is tight for a wheelchair. The back entrance looks like it would work for a wheelchair. It's a medium size restaurant. Nice simple decor. The takeout took 10 minutes. It was quick because we ordered the Lunch Special Sliced fish in Black Bean Sauce and Ma Po Tofu. Both are quick easy dishes. I requested a milder Ma Po Tofu which they accommodated. The sliced Fish was cooked well and not salty. The Ma Po Tofu was mildly spicy and the tofu was soft and picked up the flavor of the sauce. My only complaint would be the container. The Ma Po Tofu leaked. The lunch special was $11.95 and it comes with a soup or soda. I think it is a good price for the amount of food they give you. I was full half way. I think it's a keeper.

Tremendous menu that read like a Bible with lots of photographs, it was difficult to choose. We started with eggrolls and dumplings that were delicious. We shared Kung pow chicken, beef and orange and brown rice four ways & have a few meals left. Our server were attentive and on point. A delicious and reasonable dinner that we all enjoyed!

Certainly no competition for the Flushing venue! We were disappointed that the pics on the menu of the dishes were bogas and not a true representation of the actual dish...this was corroberated by the waiter who said the plate would not look like the picture... We got a cucumber salad that was not at all like the plate we expected and that went for most of the dishes we ordered....they were anemic! the Stir Fried Snow Peas with Pork Sausage was a travesty...little shards of hard pork on a small bed of snow peas. Would we return to this location....probably not! Would we return to the Flushing original...YES!

I liked this place so much I went back the next day after a walk in the lazy river in Great Neck. I asked if they had lobster and they said there is a special: two lobsters over noodles and an additional vegetable dish of your choice for $65 or just one lobster with all of the above for $45. I chose the twin lobsters because I love lobster. I chose string beans as my vegetable, and they brought out a plate of the most delicious string beans I've ever had. I will definitely go back just for the string beans, dry sautéed with bits of pickled vegetables. Then they brought out the lobster dish, which was awesome. I also asked for a side of black bean sauce at my request because I love lobster with black bean sauce but they cooked with ginger and scallions. The noodles were just ok in my opinion due to it being a bit too soft for my taste but the lobster was excellent. I would ask for pan fried noodles next time. I enjoyed the corn soup with seafood, although in my opinion, it should be corn soup with chicken. The seafood they put in the soup was not that good with the soup. I will ask for chicken corn soup next time. This is what I grew up eating as a child, so it brought back memories. Ok, fast forward the next weekend: I ordered chicken corn soup and they made it for me: $9.99. Sooooo delicious, and much better than the seafood corn soup! I'm in love. Will order chicken corn soup often! They should put chicken corn soup on the menu.

We just had Father's Day celebration there. Food is excellent and fresh. The restaurant is now under new management team. The owner can customize dishes to your preferences. One key star is for the exceptional service. You would not experience the common problem in many Chinese restaurants - rude waiters/waitress.

4 stars automatically for not being "Americanized"!! I love their Flushing branch, but Flushing has gotten so over-crowded and it's so hard to find parking/get around. So happy that they opened a new location in Great Neck! In comparison to their Flushing location, this location is MUCH bigger and has MUCH nicer décor. Prices are also much higher (the only down-side). The food is authentic and delicious! This is seriously a MUST TRY restaurant. There is a municipal parking area right behind the restaurant. There is an additional parking lot that offers FREE parking (but only on weekends, after 5:30pm). 5 of us went for lunch on a Monday (President's Day). We made reservations for 12pm, but honestly, we didn't need to since the entire restaurant was empty! Shocking! Throughout our lunch, only 2 or 3 people came to dine. Again, shocking! I guess this is a hidden gem! This is what was for lunch today (we opted NOT to order from their lunch menu and opted to order these 3 dishes to share): ~ Country style green bean sheet jelly (delicious, unique appetizer; very tasty with a light peanut sauce to it; refreshing) ~ Lamb Chop w.cumin (cooked and seasoned to perfection. A must have!) ~ Fried Quail in special spicy sauce (quail was really good but there wasn't really any sauce). Service is very friendly and efficient; portion sized were large; menu was HUGE with pictures, which is very helpful. Again, so happy to have such an authentic Chinese restaurant in Great Neck! Recommended; and I will be back!

One of our favorite Chinese restaurant and go to spot. The dishes were authentic and the prices reasonable, great to order a bunch of items and share it family style with a large party. The food here is consistent and the service always great. They also offer set menus for large gathering which changes periodically.

First time trying this restaurant after friend's recommendation. We got crispy duck, crispy beef and fried tofu with seafood. The portion is a bit on the smaller side given the price, but quality of food is good, I guess maybe they added in the cost of doing business during pandemic, which is understandable. They also have holiday specials that offers more dishes with fixed price, I may try it if I feel like eating some Chinese food for the new year

I did take out and the portions are small. I bought 5 items and the bill was $80. Food was nothing to talk about. I would not recommend.

Had the chicken & broccoli for lunch. It lacked flavor, and the chicken was a bit chewy. Was ok at best.

The $37 lamb chop cumin wasn't worth it. It was dry, nothing like how I remember from their old Flushing restaurant.

If you're in the area looking for authentic tasting ramen, with the quirky non-confrontational feel…read morethat is trending in Japan, come down to this ramen spot. We came in on a weeknight a few hours before closing, and it was fairly empty. There were a few patrons, but we were ultimately the last ones there. On our recent visit, our order included the Takoyaki, fried Japanese squid, the tasty tonkatsu ramen, Umami-rich beef ramen in beef brother (winner IMHO), the seafood ramen, and eel ramen. The few feedback we had was that we had ordered the seafood ramen spicy, but it came in regular broth; this was quickly remedied with the spicy garlic "ramen" sauce that was available at the table. Definitely gave the broth a kick. Additionally, I ordered the eel ramen since wanted to try something different from what I usually get at ramen joints. However, I found the ramen bowl kind of bland with (chicken) broth. It was average, but there wasn't a lot of umami in the broth, and the eel (although cooked well) was just placed there. There was no flavor of the sea in the bowl, so this dish was a bit of a miss for me. I'd be game to return and try something else. Some of the reviews have mentioned that it seems bit impersonal to be ordering from a linked QR code rather than a human server (which isn't completely true), but this is something very popular in Japan. In actuality, there is always a live server there, and you are offered real menus when you sit down, so you can order whichever way you feel comfortable. It's also no different that if you had an iPad at your table, only you're using your own phone. On the flip side, once we started getting our appetizers, I found it more convenient to order from my phone, as the order tickets popped up straight at the kitchen (I watched this), and the chef went to work on our dishes right away. This was way easier than waiting to flag down someone. During our time there, the staff were cleaning up, getting ready to close shop. It was actually nice to not have to wait for them. When we wanted our check, I also did that on the mobile site, and I heard a bell sound go off at the front end desk to alert the staff.

Stopped here with the husband and had a good experience…read more Spicy ramen really wasn't that spicy but you have the option of adding more chilis at the condiments bar. Takoyaki didnt have bonito flakes which is kinda weird but still good. Burgers were good - they're freshly made (or so I assume) since they take a while to come out. We actually go our entree before the appetiser but nbd. Service was great, extremely clean establishment and best of all, there's parking !
