This American style Chinese restaurant has a ton of vegan options and they are affordable to boot, but the real star is their customer service. For anyone unfamiliar with Queens, the addresses are constructed with (cross street)-number (building avenue location). It honestly drives other people from the city bonkers and it is extremely frustrating when you factor in number drive/street/avenue being literally miles apart. The city planners of this borough were sadists. Anyway, so I put the wrong cross street number on my delivery order (thanks google auto fill!), but thankfully, instead of leaving my food a quarter of a mile away, they called to confirm my address and drove over to make sure I got my food, which was still piping hot. I stopped-by one day on my way home to this Chinese take out . I have ordered calamari and their vegetable soup- few of the things that my regular Chinese take-out doesn't carry. As I was waiting for my food to be ready, I looked on previous Yelp reviews and somebody mentioned few complementary drinks and sauces in their lobby, they don't have that anymore. What's left is a huge fish tank with big fishes in it. The price is descent and serving size is just right . They even took the time to call me and make sure to explain the spare rib tips has bones and if I wanted no bones to order the boneless ribs. The price point is reasonable and portions are good. Came in to get some dirty chinese and after reading a few reviews me and my bf decided to try it out Came in place looked clean. There was a guy in the front peeling snow peas. They have two fish tanks. Which give this place its little feng shui to it. We came in and i decided to get a basic egg roll and qt wonton soup.. My bf ordered the chicken and shrimp dinner. While waiting for the food. Their phones kept ringing. So this place is pretty popular gave me a good feeling... These are standard things. And they were good.. I was a little disappointed though on the bottom of my wonton soup they usually put the pork strands. But there was maybe a tablespoon of it. And for 1 quart i am used to more of them... They had chop sticks availiable duck sauce, soy sauce hot sauce and mustard right up front. They also had an coffee pot dispenser that had green tea on it. But there was no cups near there so i guess it was not complementary tea although i could have used it. It was very chilly in there! When we got home there was no utensils provides okay no big deal. But this is where it loses a whole star sadly.. There Was not even 1 fortune cookie! Now i understand this is a very Americanized Chinese like most in this country. This is my go-to Chinese takeout in the neighborhood. I have been ordering the same meal (sesame chicken with white rice, lo mein, and eggrolls) for years and it never fails to disappoint. I have only heard good things from the other options on their menu as well. I always think how lucky I am to have such great Chinese food nearby. This spot has reopened for takeout. One of the best, if not the best, Chinese takeout places I've ever gotten food from. I got the sesame chicken: you can taste the ginger, not super salty, amazing. They cook with flavor and not just salt like some other places. You can taste the love and flavors from each bite. Egg drop soup is the right color and not orange or super yellow like other places. Customer Service: I had to write a review because I originally called the restaurant asking if they can substitute veg chicken instead of beef and chicken in the Singapore mei fun. Woman on phone said yes so I went ahead and placed my order through Uber Eats. Five minutes later, I get a call from a male now saying they cannot do that but they have already made the order. I was obviously not happy. I couldn't cancel on Uber Eats for some reason but the restaurant did end up calling me again saying he put some veg chicken on the side free of charge.
