Went for an early dinner at Pearl East, highly recommended by our neighbors and they didn't disappoint. There is parking in front of the restaurant including 2 handicap slots, not sure if there is more parking in the back. The facade matches the Chinese Cuisine as advertised, the decor inside is beautiful, clean, classic and tasteful. PE has a comprehensive menu which includes Japanese Cuisine. Our dishes were delicious with a nice presentation. The service was "old school", we were greeted at the door and showed to our table; almost immediately a server came with tea, water, dried noodles and sauce. The Lychee Martini was very good. We skipped dessert, I owe you that review Please see the pictures. Try Pearl East

The food here is always of the highest quality. We've eaten our way through the menu and everything has always been delicious. The staff here and especially the owner are welcoming and very friendly. There's a reason why the restaurant is always busy. Even for lunch. The room is decorated beautifully. There was nothing missed in decorating the restaurant, even the stunning wallpaper.

We came here after my grandmas unveiling. This restaurant is very special to our family since this was my grandmas favorite restaurant. She would order to her apartment, come and sit with friends, and her office would host holiday parties here. I want to give a big thank you to the owner here for always loving my grandma Cookie and taking care of her. The restaurant is upscale and beautiful. They did a great job decorating. The food here is great. They have sushi and Chinese food. Sushi is always fresh and delicious! The honey walnut shrimp was my grandmas favorite and it was great. Their entire menu is great. There's not one dish I wouldn't recommend. The waiters are always friendly and kind. If you get here early enough you can park yourself or they have valet. I highly recommend Pearl East, not only is the food amazing but they treat you like family!

Pearl East was definitely a shocking pleasant surprise. We looked on Yelp for a restaurant to go eat at that was pretty local , we never heard about this location . When we arrived there was valet , which was great , then you enter and it was so beautiful. The front bar was busy , the hostess sat us immediately with our reservations on a Friday night and the food was phenomenal. We absolutely feel in love . The Edamames were delicious, the wontons were to die for and we had shared meals and it was all so good and the best thing was the price : We will definitely be returning here !!!

Made reservations in advance as 4 of us are meeting here for dinner. Basic Chinese American cuisine that is consistently good. Service is on point and the menu has something for everyone. We weren't rushed and sat talking and eating for hours. There is Cantonese food, sushi, dim sum and signature dishes filling a ten page menu. Everything looked appealing and inventive. Our egg rolls were flavorful. I enjoyed my Peking duck prepared table side. My husband's mango chicken was abundant, fresh & sweet. Friends enjoyed their soups, curry shrimp and butterfly shrimp.

Bustling Very few places to sit if you need to wait Service is abominably slow and unacceptable. The house soup was delicious with a So she was toothsome medley of pork, chicken, shrimp, wontons and carrots. All perfectly cooked! Boneless ribs were delicious. Ambiance was noisy but well lit.

Recommended for sure if you'd like something better than your average. Started with soup dumps and soup. Very good. The peking duck meat was really juicy, better than I was expecting. Served table side in pancakes with fresh julienne slice cucumber and each had a nice crisp of skin. Plated and a dab of plum sauce (more like a c added. Lobster with ginger and scallion was delish too. Some work to do even though knuckles where knifed. Orange crispy beef was cooked well and was tasty. The special fried rice was "ok". Needed some sauce.

This review is for takeout, I've ordered from them twice now and I have to say the food here is exceptional. Very unique dishes, my favorite Mango Chicken with honey walnuts and asparagus... simply outstanding. They also make a lot of their dishes gluten free as well. Egg rolls are pork and shrimp combined so beware if you are allergic to shrimp. The Ambience is beautiful and clean with white tablecloths as I looked in the dining area as I picked up my takeout. My only negative is the cost, probably one of the most expensive Chinese food restaurant on Long Island, but it's so good it's worth it. Definitely recommend

I had the pleasure of coming here for a birthday party and I was knocked out. It was so good. Dish after dish of deliciousness came out I cannot even pronounce half of them, but they were completely authentic and full of flavor. The owner is an amazing lady and made sure everyone was satisfied and happy. The service was impeccable and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who is in great neck or in the surrounding area. Outside of Chinatown this is the best thing going.

Family favorite dim sum spot for almost 10 years!…read more We love coming here for weekend dim sum and occasionally dinner. Their fried dim sum dishes are great! Also, after 11:00am, the kitchen opens so you can order any rice, noodles, and other main dish items to go with your dim sum. Our favorite dim sum items include: - Taro with salted egg yolk bun(?) - Fried shrimp rolls (ha tiew) - Fried shrimp wrapped in bean curd And our favorite main dishes: - lobster fried sticky rice (they make it the best here!) - peking pork chops - honey walnut shrimp - fried small fish (shown in picture, not sure of name) You can't go wrong if you come here for dim sum or dinner. Plus, I feel like they're always open even in inclement weather. Other tips: There is a small parking lot in the back, but we usually do street parking as their parking lot is hard to get in/out of! If you come on the weekends, try to come before 11:30am to guarantee a table without a wait.

I also have not been here for a while and decided to update my previous review since my experience this time was much better. We came as a group of seven for dim sum today. It was MLK's Day, so the restaurant was quite busy. With that said, I'm not sure why much of the food was served barely warm or room temperature. Thankfully, the taste of many items were quite good. That included the Pork Stuffed Tofu Skin, Salted Egg Lava Buns, Phoenix Claws (chicken feet), and Fried Fish Paste Dumplings. Everything else was fine in general, except the Sesame Balls and Fried Sticky Rice were underwhelming. Honestly, I wouldn't drive this far out to have dim sum when I have plenty of options in Flushing. However, it's nice to know that I have a decent option if I'm in this neck of the woods.

If you're looking for a comfortable, clean, white-tablecloth restaurant serving consistently good Chinese food, this is the place. Tonight I brought a friend who is visiting from Europe. As soon as we walked in, Irma, the manager, warmly greeted us and seated us right away. Irma is always so gracious, and attentive. She has a natural way of making every guest feel genuinely welcomed and remembered. My friend ordered a lychee martini, which she thoroughly enjoyed. We shared half a Beijing duck, steamed Chilean sea bass prepared two ways, crunchy seafood fried rice, and finished with ice cream for dessert. Everything was delicious. Eric and Miki were our servers tonight--attentive, professional, and pleasant throughout the evening. The entire team, including Eric, Miki, Alex, and Johnny, is always welcoming and attentive. My husband and I dine here almost weekly, and over the years we've brought many family members and friends here as well. Moonstone has truly become one of our favorite neighborhood spots for authentic Chinese cuisine.

Right opposite from the cafe is Jmart Chinese grocery store which is convenient. Cafe closes 6 pm daily. Self service. No tips needed. Service: wait staff was very friendly. Food time was quick. Owners stopped by the table and started conversation. It was karaoke time when we walked in. Food: - their milk tea was highly recommended to us. So four of us tried the hot and cold milk tea and hot milk tea / coffee combo. All of them were very rich in flavor and smooth, exactly what a milk tea should be. $4.75 for a 12 oz hot milk tea is reasonable. - French toast with peanut butter: Love the syrup that it came with. It has a distinct refreshing flavor with delighted sweetness. Definitely different from other syrup from other places which is just pure sweetness. Owner told us the syrup was imported from England. Highly recommended! - turnip, fish ball, rice roll: 3 in one bowl. Portion is enough to share - scallion chicken: It was recommended to me also. It was indeed very tender and flavorful. $24 for half a chicken with one quart of soup. Conclusion: will definitely return.
