Ambiance is great, staff is very friendly and welcoming! I came with my daughter and grandson to meet with other family. As we walked in the music was very loud but upbeat. It was a Thursday night and very crowded. We had reservation but was told they wee running behind. However, we didn't have to wait too long. The food was delicious and it was an amazing experience. We got the edamame dumplings, crispy rice, Wagyu strip and rainbow rolls. Our server was absolutely knowledgeable and helpful. We totally enjoyed our time there. I definitely recommend!

Toku is a beautiful restaurant located in the Americana Manhasset mall. The decor inside is very modern and elegant. We ordered a few different items from the menu. Started with the Handcut Toku Fries, Kimchee Chinese Broccoli, and the Wok Bok Choy & Shiitake Mushrooms. I enjoyed the Toku Fries and thought the others were okay. The fries came with a wasabi aioli dipping sauce, but I preferred a plain old ketchup with it instead. I ordered the Braised Short Ribs for my main couse. The dish featured blocks of short ribs served with peanut pad Thai noodles. I thought the dish could have used a bit more flavor, and I didn't think the short ribs paired effectively with the noodles. Although the food was okay, given the decor and ambiance of the restaurant, this is an ideal setting for a refined date experience

The service was phenomenal. Love the sample of matches they leave on the way out. That being said I won't come here again. Yes it is a fancy high end vibe but that is where it ends. Fruit flies everywhere and my food tasted off putting. Especially my ikura sushi. The wagyu steak frites was edible but it had too much cartilage and definitely not worth the $55.00. It's very bad for a restaurant to have fruit flies as that most likely means it is unsanitary in the kitchen. It was not just one fruit fly. It was several.

Went on a lunch date to TOKU and left with mixed feelings. First off, the ambiance was beautiful! It gave sleek and upscale. The staff uniforms were polished and professional. Service was friendly and attentive, which set a great tone for the afternoon. What surprised and disappointed me right away was that rice isn't included with entrees. It's a separate charge. That felt a little off for a place in this price range. We ordered quite a bit to sample the menu. We asked for the appetizers and the entrée to be served at the same time. We ordered Lobster Tacos, Rock Shrimp Tempura, Soft Omelette Shrimp Fried Rice, Pacific King Roll, Tenderloin Beef & Broccoli as well as Handcut Toku Fries. To drink, I had the Lychee Martini, delicious and strong. I only needed one and sipped it slowly since I felt a buzz almost instantly. Not sure if it was that good or if I was just really hungry . My friend had the Virgin Pineapple Martini and enjoyed it as well. Food wise was a bit of a rollercoaster. The Pacific King Roll tasted good, but it only came with 6 pieces. My friend was disappointed and said she wouldn't get it again. The Lobster Tacos were tasty but more of a tease than a meal, "just a tickle," as she put it. The Toku Fries didn't live up to the hype for me, they were just okay. The Beef & Broccoli was a generous portion, and the beef was tender, but the flavor didn't quite hit. Honestly, I've had better from a neighborhood spot like Chinitos. Now for the highlight, the Soft Omelette Shrimp Fried Rice. It was a total standout. Perfectly cooked shrimp, soft flavorful rice, and veggies with the perfect bite. Melt in your mouth good. The only downside, you have to order it separately. No rice with entrees still boggles me. Lovely atmosphere, good drinks, some hits and some misses on the food. Worth a visit, but I'd be more selective with my order next time. Rating: 3.5

Sunday fun day! Had a wonderful time at Toku. Antonio is an amazing bartender. His drinks are exceptional! Our waiter Milton was wonderful! He's a great conversationalist and provided exceptional service. The food was 10 out of 10 and they were very attentive. Will definitely be back! If you go tell them Ashley sent you.

Came in to have an early dinner and the place was packed! It is a beautiful restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The food here is so fresh and delicious. From their fried rice, to their sushi and to their drinks, there is something for everyone here! I love coming here and can't wait to come back!

One can't NOT visit Toku when in Manhasset, but it is certainly becoming more and more for special occasions only. The food quality has stayed the same for years (amazing) but the prices have been so jacked up it is ridiculous. I recommend getting a drink and splitting a dish at the bar with a friend, the bar staff is super attentive and kind.

Under the same owners as Cipollini, Toku is another great option to eat in the Americana Manhasset. We came here after eating some appetizers at Cipollini, and ordered a few rolls along with sashimi. Really good food coupled with a great vibey atmosphere. The bar gets very crowded at night, but offers a great night out. Service at the table was fair, but would come back anytime I'm in Long Island.

Went for a late night dinner with another couple on a Saturday, and I couldn't belie how packed out the place was at 10pm. It def has more of a lounge vibe after hours. I've been here years ago for normal dinner time and it was much calmer. The food was delicious as usual. Everything was amazing despite the kitchen being close to closing time. Everything was fresh and delivered on taste. Service from our waiter was fine but not as attentive due to the place being so busy. Overall, would return because the place is beautiful and the food is great! I highly recommend.

Overall had a nice anniversary dinner here( although they didn't wish us a happy anniversary even though we put it in our reservation info). Their pork buns weren't exactly what we were expecting but they were very good (Braised pork with some vegetable in a bao). The crispy rice with spicy tuna was nothing special but enjoyed. The eel avocado roll didn't quite hit the spot but was good quality. Our nigiri were all great with the highlight being the chutoro. The wagyu frites was the perfect portion and presented a fairly unique steak experience. The ice cream was really the finishing highlight with the black sesame being delicious. Service was great but very rigid. The place is beautiful but the menus and seating definitely had some wear to them. Would definitely return to try some of their other dishes and get more of that ice cream.

First time at Toku was a nice experience. The menu has an extensive selection of food and cocktails. We went for lunch and it was pretty busy. The decor is really lovely but we ate outside because the weather was great. Our server was very personable and accommodating and the other staff member was very attentive refilling our water. We had the duck salad, angry chicken and miso black cod and everything was delicious.

I don't remember how the food was because I don't recall being able to taste anything. Well we've been told we needed to try it so we finally did. Daughter and hubby are big foodies and love steak so we took the plunge. We started with a Caesar salad, tuna tartare and melon prosciutto. The Caesar dressing was thinner than expected so the salad felt it was covered in liquid rather than a dressing. Taste was fine but not necessarily Caesar like. The tuna tartare needed the wasabi sauce to flavor the fish. Favorite app was the Melon with prosciutto. The melon was refreshing and sweet and paired really well with the salty meat. We then ordered the porterhouse for 3 medium rare, baked potato and creamed spinach. I guess we're used to a more buttery and moist steak, the steak temperature was right but hubby and daughter had to salt it which I rarely see them do at high end steak houses. We enjoyed the creamed spinach. Hubby ordered coffee and we shared a pecan pie Ala mode which we finished. All in all I couldn't give 4 stars because I won't choose to return. There was a rotating staff service, dirty appetizer dishes and service was not very attentive. I know people love this place but I just couldn't get there...

But we are huge fans of the Peter Luger steak sauce & we had visitors, so why not visit this iconic steak house which is conveniently not located in NYC proper? We arrived a little early for dinner, so the restaurant wasn't crowded at all. They had us sit for a second at the bar lounge while a table was being assigned to us. The ambiance really plays up the heritage of the Peter Luger brand. We were seated towards the very back of the restaurant. I really liked the area since it was not too dimly lit. We started with the breads and wedge salad. I love carbs, and I liked that the breads were a little heavily seasoned. Caraway seeds are not for everyone, but they are for me. The butter was not very flavorful or soft, but I guess that's being too picky for free bread and butter before the meal. I chose the wedge salad because I knew I'd want crisp lettuce with my steak & also this salad comes topped with chopped bacon. The same thick bacon that people order on the side! It felt like a two-for-one dish. I enjoyed both the bacon and the lettuce smothered in blue cheese. The bacon really was nicely cured. We got the steak for two, which came on a sizzling plate precut. We did ask for medium-- not my preference-- because my guests didn't really enjoy eating meat not browned up all the way through. However, the steak came out closer to medium-rare. Initially, the plate was hot enough for us to try to sear the pieces. However, I found that the plate cooled much more quickly than I thought. The flavor of the meat was very prominent and the seasoning was well executed. Creamed spinach was a bit of a disappointment. It just didn't really taste like anything except a little muddy in aftertaste. The onion and tomato were nice, thick slices that helped cut through the richness of the steak. I did write on the reservation that my guests were celebrating a wedding anniversary, and they brought out some whipped cream and chocolate even though we declined dessert! Always such a lovely touch.
