This is a good spot in the heart of Glen Cove. Located on the corner it's an easy location not to miss. They have a parking wi the plenary of parking spots available. This location has a bar and plenty of seating. Menu have variety of options to choose from. Liquor is served upon request. Staff is nice

Before I get too detailed, Let me say... The best Sushi ever! I met a friend of mine for lunch over here. Just a 20 minute drive from my home and I was embarrassed to say that I had never been there before. Big parking lot for a big restaurant. They also have plenty of outdoor dining, weather permitting. The restaurant decor is clean, modern, and very bright. It is a comfortable place for a meal. This was going to be simple as we picked this place especially for the Sushi. We were greeted at the door and brought right over to a booth. The server took our drink order and we ordered the Love Boat For 2. BUT, before that.. Some soup, salad, then dumplings. I have never seen so much Sushi / Sashimi in my life. There was plenty of everything. I mean anything you could think of... It was there. I am confident that anyone would have found that we had enough food. KUDOs to the team here at Sweet Mandarin

Was in the area and wanted to.try this place. Have passed it numerous times. Glad we stopped in. Started off with some hot sake and a spicy crispy salmon roll. Sushi was fresh and enjoyable. My girlfriend had the chicken and brocli and an order of pork fried rice, which she said was really good. I had the Mongolian beef, which was excellent. Had a really nice spicy kick to it. We shared the fried pork dumplings, which were outstanding. I definitely recommend this restaurant if you want really good Chinese food as well as very good sushi.

Went here with 9 other people for a friend's birthday. We had reservations and were seated right away on the second floor. I got wonton soup and crab rangoons. The wonton soup was alright. The crab rangoons were kind of disappointing; it just seemed like it was stuffed with cream cheese--absolutely no texture or crab flavor. However, everyone else seemed to enjoy their food enough. My friend got the baby octopus appetizer special and said he "loved how the baby octopus felt in his mouth." All the hibachi meals came with a choice of soup or salad and rice on the side. My friends that got sushi said it was good.

The food is great, the servers are so friendly, a little slow. It's a great family, friendly environment, especially the hibachi.

The restaurant itself was cozy and intimate - it kind of gives you a NYC restaurant kind of vibe which was nice to see on Long Island. I would note that it was freezing out and all the cold air came in when the front door opened. This made it very uncomfortable - I wonder how it is when it's really hot outside. Also, because it is a small restaurant, noise levels could be elevated. Spicy dumpling soup - very good but dumpling had no flavor. Probably store bought. Fluke carpaccio - very good. Some shrimp appetizer - shrimp was small and sauce was almost like a curry sauce. I would pass. Sushi platter - very good. Nigiris are pretty small. This won't fill you up. Grand wazoo roll - this was okay, torched squid was a little tough. Isn't she lovely roll - this was okay. Steak with potatoes and brussels sprouts - not much steak but very tender. Brussels sprouts were nicely cooked. Overall, a good experience especially with the service being top notch. While sitting on the high top worked, it took away from the experience. I would get a regular table or sit at the sushi bar. We were also distracted from the cold air coming in that my wife had to wear her coat. If you like a modern take on sushi, I think you would like this place but if you're looking for something more traditional, I would look elsewhere.

Such a satisfying lunch--this place continues to impress…read more Ken recognized us immediately and welcomed us back--always a thoughtful touch. Service from Ken and Alex was attentive, seamless, and effortless throughout. The hot and sour soup with grilled shrimp was rich, comforting, and perfectly balanced with just the right kick. The half Peking duck--served with delicate pancakes and sauces on the side--was cooked perfectly, boneless, and absolutely delicious. I especially loved the crispy skin--so flavorful and satisfying. The Malaysian-style red curry with seasonal vegetables, roti, and grilled shrimp, served with brown rice, was equally flavorful and well executed. Prices reflect the quality--and it shows. Delicious food, warm service--we'll definitely be back.

Highlights included moonlight dumplings, peking duck and tuna tartar. The tartar came deconstructed in a bowl, you had to mix it and then wrap in seaweed. It was filled fresh ingredients, very unique. The dumplings were excellent, super flavorful fillings with light wrappers. The peking duck presentation was great, very crispy skin, overall top quality. Minor setback was we're seated by the speaker, it got a little noisy. Otherwise it was a great meal.
