Me and me and my wife used to be a customers of this restaurant , and they served a good food , I don't know what happened over the years ? The management changed or something happened to them , they started to cut of in food , gave bad and cold food when we order it to our house , we leave one mile away from the restaurant and it takes them one hour to deliver the food !!! They do not put the biscuits that comes with the soup , of I've ordered yesterday a large general toast chicken , and they sent to me a small one and I call to them and they acting like this is the large one !! Just the packet box of the food is got smaller !!! Like what ? And they argue with you !!! And you barely understand what they say , What kind of stupid restaurant puts people to talk and take orders when they don't speak English in this way ?!!! I can't understand a word of what they saying !!! They are twisting all of the English words , need to repeat ten times what you want to order !!! I'm asking ten times to make my food spicy ? And they sending a regular , asking vegetable Lomain the put only one little peace of broccoli in it !!! They have a lunch special for $10, which includes an entree and a soup/soda. Compared to other places in the area this is pretty inexpensive. However, compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area, the food is ... meh. I wouldn't recommend coming here for a sit down dinner, but it makes for a quick and cheap meal. read more

2.5 stars. I am a cheapo when it comes to lunch and always want to find a good, solid Chinese take out spot. This place.... kinda... sorta... eh? I order from here when I need a quick lunch. They definitely have that going for them. If anything, this place is reliable in terms of their speed. Efficient, but I have had much better chinese take out elsewhere. Since they are located right across from the LIRR, they get solid business all the time. I would say this resturant is a good example of thriving off the business of local eaters like me or from businesses and commuters out of convenience. I just wish they just tried a little harder to make their food taste better since I order so many calories from them. Lol. What to order though: Curry Chicken. Skip the pork fried rice and just stick with white rice. Don't take the soup with your lunch special because its very watery. All of the. Sweet and sour. Wonton. Egg drop. All watery. Possibly the worst Chinese food I've ever eaten! Here it was, Christmas, and my Jewish family was observing the rite of eating Chinese food. My husband and I got off the train in Great Neck and walked over to get a large order to bring to my parents' house. Wonton soup and Egg drop soup both tasteless. Vegetable dumplings were mostly thick, chewy dough with hardly any veggies inside. Chicken and veggies was bland and Beef with Broccoli was - well let's just say the beef was plain gross. I've been a long time regular customer of China Wok, to the point where I'm greeted like an old friend when I walk in the door. The food follows a fairly standard Chinese take-out selection and there are some superstars items and some items that are mediocre. The spring rolls/ egg rolls and fried dumplings are awesome. Half fried chicken or wings- super crunchy breading with tender meat inside. The sesame chicken is delectable in its sweet sauce. Shrimp and chicken combo, that's not such a rockstar. You're not even paying $6 for a lunch special that comes with soup or whatever in greatneck. What more do you want? I've ordered here a couple of times, sometimes delivery, other times pick up. And the food tastes good! I mean really, the food tastes fine everyone. It may not be authentic Chinese food but you should know that by looking at the menu. There's really nothing too special about this place compared to any other fast food Chinese places, but I like getting my chinese food here. The food is good and I can't complain about the price. Plus your meal might come with a can of soda depending on your purchase, just remember to grab one, cause they might not point it out. I'm falling asleep as I write this due to a massive cheap Chinese food hangover. I should have gone to Subway, the Rolls Royce of $5 lunches. The food here is salty, they don't give you much meat in the lunch dishes (I guess you get what you pay for), and the pick-up/order/delivery process is utter chaos. However, I find it hard to resist the $4.50 lunch specials. That being said, I will resist this place in the future and spend a few more bucks on a better lunch. read more

The food is good but if your ordering for delivery be prepared to get upset the delivery guys are rude. My food came up to 15.50 I gave the guy $20.50 and ask him for $1 back and he started a huge aurgment because he don't believe in giving back change. Another example is me and my boyfriend order food and we didn't recieve the whole food but we paid the guy and tip him when he came back he wanted us to tip him again we refuse to and he spit after my boyfriend. Probably the worst Chinese food I have eaten. The general tsos was soggy and bland. The pork fried rice had barely any pork. I didn't even get an egg roll with my combo, which is fine, whatever, just thought I would mention it.. My coworker got some veggie dish and she said hers is bland too.
