Thanks to Nevada diner for providing a decent enough Thanksgiving dinner. We went to an unnamed fancy place in the area but after seating us, no-one came by to fill our water glasses and take our order (and it wasn't crowded at all). So, instead of paying $44 each for a fancy Turkey dinner, we paid less than $17 for a very generous serving of turkey, mashed potatoes, etc. The only thing I would add is cranberry sauce to balance the meal with a little bit of acidic flavor. My daughter, granddaughter and myself went to the Nevada Diner on Sunday morning after going to the cemetery to place a floral arrangement n my husbands grave. We were seated promptly, ordered and received our food. It was "ok" . I ordered a cup of tea, my daughter a chocolate milk and my granddaughter order a glass of cranberry juice. When our bill came, I questioned the price of the cranberry juice ...$6.80!!!!! I went to the counter to question thinking it was wrong. I was told, that this is the price for cranberry juice. As I was speaking with the man at the counter, a server was pouring a glass of cranberry juice....He poured 1/4 of a glass and watered the rest down. I questioned this and was told it was seltzer not water!! Still, we ordered cranberry juice, not seltzer flavored cranberry juice! On to the next point, when paying, Ipaid with a debit card, and made it known that it was a debit and not a credit card. I was charged a service fee. DEBIT CARDS ARE NOT SUBJECT TO CREDIT CARD FEES. IT IS A VIOLATION OF BANKING REGULATIONS!!! Please be aware, if going to the NEVADA DINER, DO NOT ORDER CRANBERRY JUICE ($6.80) AND BE SURE TO REPORT THEM IF THEY CHARGE YOU A FEE ON A DEBIT CARD. I've been eating here for a long time, the food is great, and it's always consistent. They have a gigantic menu and they deliver. But I'm here to talk about something extraordinary that I just discovered... Their cheese danish. I'm not really a dessert person, in fact, I rarely order it. As far as a diner you cant do much better. Always consistent and always attentive.. I normally get a chicken parm wrap which is good almost anywhere but they do a particularly good job.. The other day I tried a chicken ceasar which was huge and tasty and like almost nowhere else they had the curtesy to bring the hot chicken on a seperate plate. My mom meets her friend here every year for her bday and they love the food and staff. They heard it was her friends bday and brought out a big piece of cake for her.. I've been going to Nevada for years and probably have been more than a couple dozen times since I live close by in Bloomfield. This last time was by far my worst experience but in general I've seen the quality in this restaurant slowly decline over the years. This past time my family and I tried to use a promotion advertised on the website for a free kids meal with adult meals purchased. We had a large group and went to use the promotion. First, our server refused to honor the promotion and didn't even get the manager to come speak with us when we specifically asked that. Instead she continued to dodge giving us the discount advertised by claiming it wasnt to be given on holidays (this was Christmas eve). She even said the manager couldn't authorize the discount or that she was unaware of it. We all watched as the server rushed off to the manager while the manager whispered to them to handle the situation to avoid coming to the table to us. Overall the experience was just terrible. The staff didn't put an effort to even consider a discount of any kind and didn't value us as customers enough to even look at the discount on their own website. Besides this experience I've had long wait times with few visits from many servers here on other occasions. It is definitely different from both the Stellar service I remembered in years past! The food has always remained good and I hope it remains this way. I hope Nevada can address these issue to bring it back to its former glory! read more

Super disappointed.... Waiter confused our orders... ordered one thing and wasn't given what was ordered. I ordered scrambled eggs well done & was given runny eggs..my french toast was mushy in the inside. We also asked from waffle fries..none of the ordered had waffles fries. The best part about this place is the huge menu! It's fun to look through the pages and see all of the options. The big menu means that even picky eaters can find something that looks good. I'm mainly giving it three stars for the flavor of the food. I got a Turkey BLT and my boyfriend got a Cajun Chicken Panini. The order was correct and everything came out on time, but it wasn't anything special. A little seasoning on the fries or sauce on the sandwich could help take it to the next level! read more

So my boyfriend and I decided to stray from our regular diner (plaza diner) and it was a big mistake. I wanted to try something new, and instead I got something bad. First of all service is extremely slow even with about 5 waitresses and only a handful of customers. We got french toast and waffles each with a side of eggs and meat. The French toast was pretty bland and lacked flavor. The waffles tasted odd. The worst thing about this place is the price. It wouldn't be a problem if the food was great, but it just isn't. I got orange juice and it was 5 bucks. The juice isn't even freshly squeezed. It's just regular Tropicana. Definitely learned my lesson. I won't be back. read more

One of the cleanest better decorated modern Diners around. Enjoyable food and despite out waiters lack of smiles he was still attentive enough. This Diner seems to have to parking lots before and after. It has a newly decorated patio with tables and chairs that's very welcoming. We ordered the chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks which both were good. We also ordered the chicken wrap stuffed with Greek salad n with a side of requested tzatziki sauce it was very enjoyable. A must buy if you like that combo. In addition a grilled chicken sandwich with portobello mushroom on a panini. Again very good and a must buy. Will undoubtedly be back again with fam. read more

Went to Nevada Diner today for breakfast. As soon as we sat down our server, Antoinette came to take our drink order. There is nothing better than an attentive server but nothing worse than one who badgers you to hurry up and order. When we told her we still needed time to look at the menu, she left the table. When she came back one person in our party ordered an English Muffin and two of us ordered cantaloupe and cottage cheese. Her comment was "that's what you're ordering after taking so long to order? The cantaloupe was so hard that we literally had to use a knife to cut it. It had no taste and it wasn't the least bit juicy. Unfortunately it is not the same Nevada Diner from days gone by! I am having a difficult time posting this but this place does deserve 5 stars. I can't find a reason to give any less than that. The place is clean and designed well for a diner. The customer service was great. I ordered a cheese omelette, white toast & side of sausage. It was cooked perfectly & tasted great. My boyfriend ordered a grilled cheese and cheese fries, looked amazing and he said it was great. Typical diner food but many places can't get these simple staples right but Nevada did! these people are not very nice and always forget to put certain orders in the bag. So we would get home and I wouldn't have my dinner, mostly they always forget my soup. This particular time I ordered chicken quesadilla platter with disco fries and soup and the guy on the phone said it would be just a $2 up charge for the disco fries and I said okay which wasn't a problem , my fiancé drove to go pick it up and they charged him $23 and some change!!!! He didn't say anything since he figured I had ordered something extra and when he came home I was like oh no why did you pay that much it should be less , come to find out he charged a quesadilla and a whole order of fries which were $7 !! Great place to eat some breakfast with their all day breakfast menu. First time eating here and the food was good. The place looks clean and well organized. Only one thing that bothered me was that my waiter did get my order wrong and brought me the wrong plate but this issue was resolved. Having grown up locally - I have been to literally every diner within a 50 mile radius. This is by far the best of the best. The steak fries are superb, especially when accompanied by one of their delicious pizza burgers. They also have great dinner specials where you get soup, salad and dessert included (in which case - I highly recommend you get a Napolean.) Perfect spot for late night munchies - open 24 hours! We showed it to our waitress, and she was so kind to remove the bug and the plate. She told us the Manager would be right over! The manager came over and said to us, " I do know about the issue with the bugs. We been working on it. It's gotten better!" That was the Managers only response?!! We got our check and realized this person does not care. He didn't even apologize about the bug issue, and to find it in the food? It was like it was normal to him! Came here on a Saturday night (around 11pm) with family. The place is really nice and quiet. The servers are very kind and warm. Everyone was more than willing to help with our orders and any other concern we had. Our food arrived pretty quickly too...I would say about 10 minutes. They play modern pop music inside which is nice. The prices are very cheap as well and you get a lot of food for what you pay for. I even got a free rice pudding for checking in through yelp!
