Noe and Maria arrived on time and did a beautiful job on the shower regrout and Noe even accommodated some last minute requests to add caulking in the kitchen and quarter round. Unfortunately, we had different ideas about what grout 'touch-ups' meant for the floors - I wanted a few spots regrouted to match the rest of the flooring's grout color - but it really lacked a professional touch and didn't look good at all. I did invite Noe to come back to redo it, and it still did not meet the professional standard I paid for. I would have appreciated more thorough communication from the start to make sure I was getting what I needed. To be honest, this was not the cheapest quote I got but paid more because of the great reviews. I would be happy to change my review to 5 stars if the team wants to come back for a full regrout on the floors, but I'm not planning to pay any more than I already have. Before payment, the owner, Zach, was responsive, clear, and reassuring. He told me everything was guaranteed. He knew I would be away for a few days, and when the work was finished, he sent two photos and requested electronic payment. I trusted that the photos accurately represented the finished job, so I paid. When I got home, the work looked very different from what those photos had led me to expect. One was taken from a distance; the other showed a close-up of the only section that looked good. Neither showed the problems with the rest of the job. The frustrating part is that the section in the close-up really did look nice. Seeing it next to the rest made the inconsistency in quality even more disappointing. I also learned from my son, who was home at the time, that someone other than Zach had performed the work. That had not been made clear to me. When I raised my concerns, Zach's tone changed. He became rude and was unwilling to address the problems, despite his earlier guarantee. He told me I had "seen the pictures," but those photos did not show the issues I found in person. I simply wanted them to come back and fix the work. Zach said he would call me right back. That call never came, and I have been unable to reach him since. It has been months; I gave up and had others come and fix it. I paid in good faith based on his assurances, and I feel misled. I have since had the work redone. Based on the quality of the work and the lack of follow-through when I asked for it to be corrected, I strongly recommend choosing someone else.

They were quick, provided a reasonable quote compared to others I got in the area, and the work was good. I specifically waited a while to see if the grout or caulk would crack, and it's holding up well. I would give a five star review if not for a couple small things. Firstly, I was not informed up front when giving the quote that they only caulk areas where there is no paint. i.e. they can do the tub to floor, they can do sink to vanity, but they won't do vanity to drywall. I found out later that this is fairly common practice, so not a huge deal, but I did wish someone mentioned it back when I was getting the quote and not when the guy arrived on my door to do the job. So take note if you don't know much about caulking like me. Secondly - and this is the main reason I took off a star! I had a lot of items in my shower that I didn't have time to clear prior to the tech's arrival, and when I rushed to clear them, he kindly informed me that he could do so and I didn't have to. OK, great! Honestly the tech was nothing but kind to me but... I had a bin of clean laundry sitting near to the master bathroom door waiting to be folded. I returned a while later to discover that he had moved many shower items, most of which have a bit of soap stain or hair or other sticky shower nastiness on them... INTO my clean laundry bin and directly on the carpet! Needless to say I redid my laundry, moved the shower items onto a towel, and scrubbed the carpet after he left. I truly believe the tech had the best intentions, but I would advise removing your shower and tabletop things yourself if you hire The Grout Guys! Otherwise, the actual work itself was perfect :)

Not only did he replace the moldy silicone all around the shower and replace all the cracked moldy grout, he completely cleaned the shower walls and floor with a razor.
