The Grout Expert might be great, but I am basing my review on the fact that the owner of the company stopped responding after I sent him a video and he gave me a quote for the job. He seemed very knowledgeable but also said he was very busy this time of year. We were texting back and forth about the job and questions I had about his website. When I clicked on the link on his page there was a fleet of vehicles that showed/mentioned a different person in a different city from him. I asked him if he was a franchise, and if he had insurance. Ok so here is the run down. Someone started work on my bathroom with tile and stole from me so I canned him. That's what I get for using a family "friend". Anyways my wall were half way done and my father came over and threw tile up on the rest. It was all crooked and spaced wrong and not grouted and incomplete, missing three tiles. This is what happens when you try to save a buck. Anyways I called and left a message saying I needed the bathroom finished. I was refinancing my house and this was the one thing holding up the bank from doing it. Adam called me back the next morning and I told him what was up. He quoted me a fair price...well I wouldn't say fair if you were tiling your whole bathroom haha but I mean come on no one is going to spend a whole day working for cheap. Anyways I asked him if I could pay to expedite services as there was a deadline for bank and I didn't want to lose thousands in interest rate extensions etc. Adam said he'd work it out. He got someone there about 3 days later which is insanely quick for someone booked weeks out. The guy got it all done in one day in one go. Was there on time to start and I left the guy at my house and guess what nothing went missing! The tiling and grouting was much much much better than I thought it would be. My only gripe was two of the tiles were much closer depth wise to the wall than the rest but I'm a perfectionist and I even know that's being picky lol. I used Adam Price to do our kitchen countertop. This was a repair job from a previous Grout Company (which name I will not mention). I also received three additional bids for the repair work and his estimate was a little higher than the others. I felt comfortable with his approach and went with him. Adam contacted me immediately after reading my email and review. He came out as soon as *my* scheduled allowed it. We discussed grout v. caulking and some other details and compromised. I suggested that he leave the caulk and simply repair it rather than remove it all but in the end he re-grouted the perimeter and even removed, cleaned, and recaulked the perimeter of the door. If you are as discriminating as I am with products and services I would just suggest that you go through the details of the work that will be done. They'll do it anyway you want. My house is over 30 years old and still has the original tile counters in the kitchen. They looked old and dirty. I was planning to replace or cover the counters when a neighbor suggested having the grout cleaned instead. I had not considered that but when I got a coupon in the mail for The Grout Expert, I figured it was worth it to get an estimate to clean the grout. The price was higher than I expected, but still a lot less than replacing the counter tops. So I scheduled the cleaning for early the following week. I cleared all the clutter off the counters, so when Mario came he went straight to work. I thought this might take an hour, but he spent well over two hours and really scrubbed everything as clean as possible, including the kitchen sink. I was really impressed. Grout Experts did a fantastic job on the tile in 2 bathrooms, kitchen backsplash, and the kitchen/dining floor. Mario and Danilo did the work for us. The master bath had seriously cracked/missing grout in the floor tiles and the shower floor. Turns out the installer (about 10+ years ago) just slobbed on the adhesive and didn't put it on with a notched trowel like it should have been. This caused the tiles to come loose over time and crack the grout. After the tiles were re-seated, re-grouted, and the grout stained and sealed, it looked like a whole new bathroom. The guest bath has all white tile and grout, which was looking more grey than white. The guys cleaned to to perfection and the grout is nice and white again. The kitchen didn't need any repairs, but the deep clean and sealant really makes the place look great. We elected to get the 5 year sealant so we didn't have to worry about it for a while.
