Finally decided to get proper landscape lighting for my home (front and back yard areas), as the neighborhood is sooooo dark. Nestor's came out, listened to my request and quickly gave me an estimate. The next week they came out and very quickly installed over a dozen lights to brighten up the home. It made a huge difference! Love using the back yard deck and patio area at night with the added lighting -- and the lighting in the front definitely makes the home stand out on the block (and adds to safety/home protection...no creeping around in the dark here :) More than satisfied. When we bought our house in 2016 we stumbled across Nestor's, and I've not been disappointed once since then. Nestor's refurbished our irrigation system which had been unused for years, replacing sprinkler heads and other parts as necessary. His crew was professional and expedient. Vincent makes everything easy and offers sensible upgrades while avoiding superfluous extras. It was a relatively easy decision when Vincent offered to replace the derelict up-lighting across the front of our house. I have attached the first picture I took after the lighting was installed, and I feel it speaks for itself. Not only is the look stunning, there are benefits related to security as well as curb appeal. At the end of the day, Nestor's is prompt, courteous, and competent. Very expensive, will double charge for repairs, charges a service call fee on top of an hourly labor rate, a rate to use equipment, etc. Charges for bulbs + fixtures (no one does that). Surprised so many good reviews as would never call them again for anything. Buyer Beware. Most businesses will charge by the job or by the hour. These guys like to charge both! Moved to a home where the owners previously used Nestor service for sprinkler system. The person messaged back saying 125$ for service call! They said they are "very busy" and don't "work for free" - even going as far and unprofessional as asking me "do you work for free". That's not even what I asked for! I just asked them to explain why it's so much when landscaping/lawn/ pest control all do a free first visit. I wanted to know where my 125$ is going, why the high charge. No reply after I asked. We purchased a home with a 15 year old sprinkler system that needed repair. I called on the top Atlanta company in google and spent thousands in repairs. The system continued to break down. I located Nestor's thru a NextDoor App referral, in hopes of repair or replace. They immediately identified the real issues, exposing the other company's fraud. The Atlanta company sold me a four zone controller, Nestors identified six! They reviewed all aspects of my system with me, thoroughly. My husband and I contracted Nestor's sprinklers & lights To come out to our home in Johns Creek to install lights in front of our home. Vincent Nestor did install some lights however they were the wrong lights. He came out to the home to figure out the issue. When Vincent left my home He texted me to let me know what the issue was however he texted the wrong person. He thought he was texting someone else and texted the N*****R word to my phone instead and also made some more degrading and disrespectful remarks about me. When asked WHY he simply said he took pain medication and didn't know what he was saying He than apologized in his text but at that time it was to late. I asked for a refund and he stop taking calls and disappeared. I am not going to stop until I am heard out and I want a full refund and everyone in this community needs to know how Vincent Nestor the owner of Nestor's sprinklers & lights thinks about African-American people in this community. I also have PROOF I have the text messages I am going to post that next. Also I am going to my attorney because has to be done about people like that you would think in 2017 we would have long overcome that nonsense. Smh... read more

I never write reviews but feel compelled to do so in this case because I selected Nestor's specifically because of the reviews and my experience was certainly not 5 stars. Basically, I bought a house that had a fair amount of landscape lighting, some worked and some didn't. They were able to solve the majority of the problems (simply replacing the photocell did the trick for the vast majority of it) but complained constantly - the photocell was too low to the ground and hard to access, they hemmed and hawed when I asked to put all the old fixtures together and new fixtures together so they wouldn't contrast so bad right beside each other (mind you, we'd already talked about this), and other grumbles. My biggest gripe is that I had a light that didn't work and they didn't even want to touch it. First, he tried to say he was done and give me the bill and I asked if they'd fixed that one light, which was a big reason I brought them out to begin with, he said no. He hadn't even removed the cover. I asked him to look at it and he seemed scared that it was 120V and not low voltage. They then spent 5 minutes and just didn't want to go there. The point is, Nestor's makes their money from saying your old fixtures are bad and replacing and selling you $30 LED bulbs... not by the hour. My bill was over $4,000 and the labor was $437. I may sound like I'm griping about the cost and I'm not. Mostly, I wanted their expertise - I can replace bulbs and fixtures myself. Vince isn't a terrible guy, just didn't seem that motivated for anything outside of very standard work. read more

For the 14 years we've owned our home in the Atlanta area we have never been happy with our landscape lighting despite hiring 2 different lighting companies. I recently purchased a 30 year old home, where the sprinkler system and lighting system was not used in at least 5 years. I called Nestor's, who I think is the best of the best with sprinklers and lighting...used them since 2005. My current project was estimated, but upon arrival, the job turned out to be much more work than was known. I had buried valves, 2 feet into the ground. Wires were cut when the previous owner put in a fence. But the Nestor guys were professional, knowledgeable and undeterred by the problems. I know they worked longer than they thought, but by 6:00, I had both lights and sprinklers working and fine tuned for my half-acre property. Then to my surprise, the bill was handed to me for exactly what was quoted!!!! The owner, Vince and his son, Vinny, are the Nestor guys...owners who actually do the work. We live in Atlanta and after trying a couple of other lighting companies over the years we happened to stumble upon Nestor's by seeing their truck parked at a job in the neighborhood. They are honest and professional and really care about the quality of their work. We had them take out the Home Depot specials another lighting company sold us and put in better quality LED bulb fixtures. They did a far superior job than we had the first time around and at night our 2 acre property looks beautiful. Plus, we no longer spend a small fortune to change out light bulbs every year like our original lighting company wanted us to do. Nestor's is a hard working and honest father-son team.
