One of our sprinkler valves went haywire and turned on by itself. Not having much knowledge of our system, the best I could do was turn off the main water line to our home. I had a negative experience with another company here listed on Yelp so I was a little scared when I decided to call Ecosystems Service. But David was very responsive and also very courteous. When David and Esteban came they were extremely knowledgeable and were able to identify the problem right away. We have an older house and a few of our shutoff and sprinkler valves are covered in turfed and grown grass. Without their expertise there was no way I could have found out where the irrigation shutoff valve was or where the sprinkler valve was that went haywire. (David even had to use a metal detector to find the hidden sprinkler valve). David and Esteban replaced one leaky valve completely and repaired two existing ones. The rates David charged for his time, expertise, labor and materials were very very reasonable. On top of that David explained the whole system to me very well. If you happen to come across Ecosystems Services, just call them right away! I would say don't even try to price shop or compare because there's another company in the area that is extremely rude and like to price gouge. read more

My husband and I are new to Woodstock,GA and noticed the watering system solenoids in our yard leaking water and had no idea where the main control shut off was. The previous owners had left no records (and they left plenty on every other system and appliance installed). I called several places to inquire about the leaking sprinkler situation, and when I could get someone out to look. I was given a January time frame and little other information given the age of the house, and where the control shut off valve may be. Most likely near the water meter. We then had to have the water company out to check the meter because we could not locate it...turns out it is in the woods behind a tree off the road by our house...never thought of it being there. After I was shown the location, I looked ,blew leaves off, poked, and dug and found no sprinkler shut off. I finally called David with Ecosystems and he asked for me to take pictures of the property, solenoids, water meter etc. After he saw those pictures he was able to advise me where the control "off" valve may be for this system given the location of the meter versus the house. Great experience! David answered my call about my zone 1 not shutting off with the controller set in the OFF position. He set up an appointment, came and immediately diagnosed my problem as being a faulty hidden buried valve. He found the buried valve location in a couple minutes!!!! and replaced the valve. He then checked each zone to see if it functioned, and told me my 17 yr. old valves had lived beyond the 8 yr average life, and I probably would have problems with other valves. I told him I would like them all replaced. He didn't have enough valves on his truck at that time. Sure enough, that night my zone 3 refused to shut off. I called and he sent out his crew the next morning to replace my 2 valves in my front yard. Now the system is working well. His prices are exceptionally reasonable. David has a "PhD" in irrigation systems and installation compared with two other contractors I have engaged over the past 17 yrs. What a PLEASURE to deal with Ecosystems!!!!! read more

Moved into a new construction in 2017 as one of the first on the street and a few houses were built around me. My RainBird system mysteriously stopped working sometime between ATT burying the fiber lines and the other houses going up; I have been putting off unknown repairs for a while. Was not expecting a prompt reply over the Holiday Weekend but David replied super quick to the Yelp ping and was able to swing by my house in North Fulton pretty quickly during the week. David was able to diagnose several small problems and a leak and to my amazement plugged the leak and made adjustments all during his visit. Last Friday, it seemed like any ordinary day and we were out and about town. David had been working at a neighbor's home when he identified a significant amount of water pouring out of the ground, rolling down the driveway and running down the street. He jumped into action, leaving a flag in the ground with his business card and rang our doorbell offering his assistance. I called him Saturday morning and he was kind enough to accommodate us first thing Monday morning. David not only texted when he was on his way, but arrived earlier than anticipated. He and his assistant dug up the ground, showed us the shoddy work done by another irrigation company and explained what needed to be done and DID IT RIGHT! So... 4 pm on Black Friday afternoon and I had an unexpected sprinkler emergency due to a plumbing issue . I called 3 or 4 companies ... with low expectations. David sent a text asking to describe the emergency /problem and he called me back immediately. He spoke with the plumbers.. and then with me. He said he'd be out first thing in the morning. As the plumbers were still trying to cipher out a temporary fix... David came pulling into my driveway ... and went straight to the problem. Fixed in 30 minutes!!! WOW is all I can say! I woke up to my sprinkler system running despite being disconnected from the power source. I called David and he answered the phone and told me what he thought the problem was, and said he could make my problem a priority and would come as soon as he completed the job he was on. He texted me when he was on his way, which was within an hour of me calling him. He arrived and got straight to work and had the issue identified and corrected in short order. I had and open condition on Zone 7 for starters in addition to upgrading the controller and moving system from outside to inside garage. David isolated the open zone wiring and both repaired the cable and reburied it deeper than original installation. David recommended replacement to the newest Rain Bird ESP Modular controller with wifi module. I have now been using it since June 24th and it is excellent. Features are too numerous to mention. It's a breeze to control via IOS iphone and iPad. I have known David for better than 15 years and he is a professional who delivers with excellent results. BUYER BEWARE. What an utter embarrassment of a company. I was pulled around by this guy for over a month on irrigation line repairs. Then had a Major leak where the city had to turn off my irrigation line. David assured me multiple times that he would be by "soon" over the course of 2 weeks. I had not heard from him at all for 8 days so i reached out to follow up. Only to receive this text message (see attached image) this morning when I checked in on a potential day for him to come to complete the irrigation repairs. I called David and received a prompt reply. I had a broken sprinkler pipe which he repaired quickly. As he was at my home he checked out the rest of my irrigation system and pointed out another broken pipe and sprinkler head. The pipe was located in an area where we had taken a tree out and we hadn't noticed the pipe was cut. He was very efficient and most importantly, kind and professional. I asked him about laying down another line elsewhere on my property but he advised that it wasn't worth it. I appreciate his honesty. The parts and labor were so fair. Amazing I had an issue with my irrigation, one of the heads was shooting water straight up in the air had no idea what to do so I called the folks at Ecosystems. They told me to send a text to them with a picture what's going on. They easily could've scheduled time with me and had me fork over a couple hundred bucks and I probably would've been OK. But... instead they gave me the information on where to find the right part and what I needed ask for at the store and I was able to fix it on my own for 10 bucks. After noticing standing water in my yard I called David who was able to come out the next day. He and his crew immediately found that I had two leaks, one in my main water line and the other in the sprinkler system. He fixed the leak in the sprinkler system quickly and even fixed a broken sprinkler head. The next day he came out with his crew and replaced my main water line from the street to my house. I called David after business hours and immediately received a response, he came out the very next day. I had a sprinkler system that was not functioning properly. David trouble shot the entire system from the valves, circuit board and found that the last repair my lines were crossed. He dug up and re plumbed the main and lateral line. He went the extra mile teaching me how to program my system and added a spare battery as well. I though my bill was going to be about $500.00, but, it was only $125.00. David just finished installing our second sprinkler system. He did an excellent job for us 8 years ago at our former house, so no reason not to go with him on our new house. Fair price and great/professional work. David knows his stuff and identified that we had exceptionally high water pressure that would likely have blown out the sprinkler heads. He proactively installed a heavy duty pressure reducing valve for materials cost only, as it was not in the original estimate.
