Georgia Oak replaced the old timber retaining walls around our neighborhood playground and tennis courts with stacked block walls. We were very happy with the results and found Georgia Oak to be very easy to work with, responsive and attentive to detail. Highly recommend. After talking with several other companies that came out to look at our project and then having to chase them for an estimate, we decided to keep looking for a company that would be more responsive and easier to work with. We found Georgia Oak on Angie (previously Angie's List). We did further due diligence by looking at the reviews on Angie, Yelp and Google as well as checking reviews and complaint history on the Better Business Bureau. They seemed to have an impeccable reputation. So, we decided to have them give us an estimate despite being the only company that charged us a small fee for giving an estimate. That charge is deducted off the project cost if you use them. Brandon showed up on time and gave us the estimate right on the spot which was a pleasant surprise. It was also a firm fixed price estimate. We were satisfied with their price and quickly made the decision to proceed. They handled submitting the building permit and the inspections. In our case, we needed a survey and engineering drawings which they also coordinated. The entire process was very smooth. They scheduled our project in a timely manner. Carolina, Candido and the entire crew were a pleasure to work with throughout the process. They were quite flexible to adjust design details along the way without any talk of additional cost. The only additional cost that we paid was when we made the wall a good bit longer than originally planned, which is only reasonable. In summary, Georgia Oak does what they say they are going to do. They show up when they say they will. They do good quality work and are very easy to work with. They coordinated the entire process including permitting, engineering and surveying. I realize that charging for an estimate may deter some folks from using them, but I'm glad that we didn't let that stop us. I have a retaining wall on my personal property that will need replacing soon. Georgia Oak will be my first call. read more

I hired Georgia Oak Landscaping to replace a retaining wall on my property. The old wall was made of rotting railroad ties, and they replaced it with concrete paver blocks. I am very pleased with the work that was done. Brandon (the owner) is responsive and easy to work with; the work was completed promptly; and the finished wall looks great. The company's quoted price was also very competitive among the four bids that I received. I would definitely hire Georgia Oak again for future projects. This company charges $35 to give an estimate, but the fee was subtracted from the initial deposit when I decided to hire the company. Very highly recommended. read more

Brandon is a really good guy, and honest! He really enjoys what he does and it shows. We've had them out twice over the last 5 years, and they were excellent every time! In the past I have often found it difficult to get contractors to answer the phone, show up and finally give me a quote. For that reason, it's definitely worth the $35. if someone balks at a small fee that's waived anyway, they are not ready to take on the cost of a retaining wall project. read more

I know someone posted that they charge 35.00 for an estimate and gave them a 1 star because of that, even though they never received any work or even an estimate. I think that is a fair price to weed out the lookey loos We hired them to install a flood wall for us. As we live on a river and everytime it rains the river swells. They came out gave us a good price, and started work a week later. They had the job completed within a week. The workers were always respectful, professional and skilled. I would definitely hire them again. read more

Over-the-moon happy with their customer service and quality of work. From the first visit to the last day of the job, they were always on time and quick to respond to any of our questions no matter the hour. What blew us away the most was when mid-installation, we asked to change the steps and Brandon worked with us (afterhours!) to quickly come up with a solution that we couldn't be happier with. After just four days, they have transformed our backyard and we can't wait to show off the flawless retaining wall and steps they installed. read more

I am so impressed with Brandon, the owner of Georgia Oak Landscaping. I called to get an estimate on resolving a drainage problem. He told me he could come out that afternoon and gave me a 30-minute window on when he was likely to get to my house. He said he would call when he was on the way and he did call and arrived right within the time frame he had stated. (That may not seem like that big a deal, but I had just been stood up by a garage repair person, so naturally, I am sensitive to how others value my time.) He looked over my drainage problem thoroughly and gave me ideas on how his company could resolve it as well as ideas for turning my largely unusable backyard into something great. Brandon wasn't the least bit pushy and listened to my concerns. I felt very comfortable with him. read more

Brandon came our to give me an estimate on a backyard stormwater drainage issue. He told me that he could solve the issue but I could do it much cheaper with an alternative solution. I really appreciate his honestly and I will take his advice. Much appreciated! read more

We had a great experience with Brandon and his team Arturo/crew. They came and quoted us on replacing a retaining wall in the front yard. They did an excellent job. They weren't the lowest bid nor the highest however middle of the road and I'd most defiantly use them again when we replace our backyard retainers. They had our project done quick and were very mindful of cleaning up when finished. I have a very specific eye, and can notice if something is off 1/24 inch by sight. I know. There was a beam slightly off and I hated to call them because literally no one else would EVER notice that but me. But no questions asked they came back just to adjust it to my eye. Lol. Give Brandon a shout. Really great to work with. read more

I am not sure about their work but they charge $35 to come out and provide an estimate. :(

I had a retaining wall issue and looked all over and was so overwhelmed with prices, and choices till I came across Georgia Oak.... they were so helpful and affordable and did not try to sell me something I did not need but gave me choices and let me decide..... now I have a beautiful non cracking retaining wall....thank you read more

In short, stay away from this company. They will not service whatever they install. I called twice to ask about having the hardscape they built for us repaired. I fully expected to pay for whatever repair was needed. Brandon didn't have the professionalism or courtesy to even return my call. Once they get your money, you'll never see them again. read more

Georgia oak did an amazing job on our retaining wall. They completely exceeded or expectations. The work was completed extremely quickly and the men never left a mess behind. Georgia oak was reasonably priced as well. Highly recommended!! read more

A great company to do business with! Brandon was great to work with from start to finish. Great about developing a concept for landscaping my backyard: one that created usable space, beautiful design, within budget, and professional to work with. My initial experience encouraged me to do additional projects through Georgia Oak and I have never been disappointed! Thanks for proving that there are credible small business owners still in existence! Until the next project...... read more
