I used Hill and Hill when we first purchased our home in Roswell in 2011. Mr. Hill built intricate…read morewoodwork designs, and painted every room in our home. His well trained staff spends time preparing the walls and surfaces for painting, so that the paint (he uses the highest quality) will last for years and years. We just completed another round of home improvement in 2016 which included painting my entire porch, installing/painting a new front double door, installing new LED can lighting on the porch, attaching a rain barrel, and replacing wood on our chimney. Everything was completed perfectly, and let me tell you it is a challenge to make a front door fit and swing shut perfectly. The alignment has to be just so.... I knew David for his attention to detail in "mowing and blowing" lawn maintenance and care. I saw…read moreon a Facebook post that he had done a design project for a back yard, and I asked him to help me with my yard. My backyard is shady, and with all the rain and runoff, my grass was just disappearing. I didn't like to go out there anymore. But Dave had a great thought of regrading it, and running some river stones through it to give the water a place to go, and a place for the grass to grow. He put an estimate together -- had some good options -- and we figured out the best one. The best part was his service. He said realistically it would be a month, but he called me a few days later and said he had something change in his schedule and could start in 4 days! That's "under promise and over deliver" in my book. The opposite of what many in the service industry do. He continued to go above and beyond -- even fixing a few things with my sprinkler system that he did not need to do. He came back to check on a few little areas, and made a very slight correction to a run off pipe. He said, " this works, but I can make it better. I'll take care of it for you." I recommend Lawns of Georgia heartily.

I was extremely disappointed in the job that was done for me. The guy who has mowed my yard for…read morethe last ten years stated that the Bermuda sod was not even a pallet. I also found where you can purchase sod for $150 per pallet. I was charged 800 dollars for supposedly two pallets and 300 to lay the sod. Also, I had to pay him as I was going out of town from where my Mother died and he promised to purchase a water hose and sprinkler compliments of him and water the yard. When I arrived home four days later, no water hose, no sprinkler and the sod is almost dead. I have watered the sod every single day and not sure it is going to even live. I was in the hospital for seven days and he did the yard the day before I got out of the hospital, which I told him getting out the next day. He flat out lied to me about the water hose, sprinkler and watering what he had done. I would not recommend him to a single person. I am almost 65 and feel like I have been totally ripped off. I hired him without checking any references. He did do the job within the time he stated he would, which is more than Southland Landscaping Company did. Southland promised me for three months to do the yard and gave me a quote of $450, but he came up with every excuse in the world and lied to me constantly. It is a real shame that landscape companies take advantage of elderly women. I accept responsibility because I was overly anxious and did not check him out, but never again. This has been an extremely big disappointment. My goodness are there no landscape companies in Gwinnett County who is honest and will perform the job and not lie to an elderly woman. I was totally shocked when I started looking at the prices of sod how I was ripped off. I do not care how many organizations he is signed up to, check out references and do not pay this company unless he does the job as promised and make sure you do not make the same mistake I made so that you will not get ripped off. You are more than welcome to come and see how much sod is put down and what the sod looks like. I water every single day and just pray that the amount of sod in the yard lives. He was supposed to cover all the bare spots, but that did not get done either. I have taken numerous pictures. I would give him no stars if that was an option other than he did the work with the four days as promised. The rest I totally regret having him do the job because it is truly a horrible job. Please feel free to come by and discuss with me and see the job if you want to see a reference for yourself instead of trusting someone else to give you a reference. I strongly believe he had no intention of purchasing a water hose, sprinkler and watering since I had to drive out of town for my Mother's funeral.
