Zeta came through my neighborhood like a wrecking ball and took down 100+ year old oaks. Neighbors…read moreon either side of my house got their roofs cleaved and crews were buzzing around the clock. I heard horror stories of $16,000 removals and saw a swinging crane knock down my neighbor's chimney with a huge suspended log. My tree problem wasn't as big of a deal. I was lucky. That said, I called a few places and they either didn't want to be bothered by a 25 year old Leyland cypress over my sunroom, or wouldn't come out for a quote for a week, then said they'd schedule me for JANUARY (2 months later). I called Cathy in the afternoon and she booked Chris to give a quote in the morning. I hadn't had many quotes, but they were all above my comfort -- obviously there was plenty of work out there for months to come. Chris told me he could cut it safely and haul it for the lowest price. He also had a guy who would eliminate the stump and upturned roots for $100. But how long would I have to wait? "We can do it tomorrow afternoon between jobs." They brought a crew of 6 and saved my fence in the process (the tree was leaning over my fence, within two inches of the top). 4 of them hauled sections while two managed/climbed/cut. Chris came in to check and give instructions at the start and at the end of the project. He also reviewed the completion to make sure it was to my satisfaction. On the way out, at my prompting, he gave me some quotes on standing trees that I may want to take down in February when it's cheapest. Above and beyond: Since this was a neighbor's tree, Chris gave me good recommendations on what needed to happen with the remaining 15 Leylands that look at the end of their lifespan, crafted a letter for me to use as a template, and worked with me to make our 50/50 neighbor split easy. They kept in phone and text communication any time I had a question. He even wore a mask for our review without my request. Bonus: His stump grinder contact was reliable and reached out the next day without any prompting. Now it's like nothing happened! I hope to never have to call them again, but if I need some trees cut down, I'll call Cathy and Chris.

They came up with a plan and quickly executed the plan accordingly. I can't say enough about how nice this couple are, and how they worked us into a schedule as quick as they could.
