How shall I describe these tree climbing and cutting geniuses? Their skills and talents are beyond…read morewords. Their work is like a ballet, only way up high in the trees. No tutus involved. OK, enough of the flowery stuff. There are four members in the crew, and each is skilled in a particular aspect of the field of cutting down trees. I've seen a lot of tree crews, and these guys are top notch. They showed up on time, I had to get the utility company to do a power drop, and then the members swiftly got to work, dropping the trees that could be a problem for my power line first. By noon, those trees were gone, and I called up the power company to say they could reconnect the power, which they did at about 1 PM. (Hidden praise for Walton EMC buried in here. Based on past experience, I wouldn't begin to expect the same level of service from the power company that has the word 'Georgia' in their name. YMMV.) I was so pleased I paid them a bit extra and gave the crew some of my stash of hash. No, that's not quite right. Fudge. Yes, that's it! Fudge, that I had purchased the day before in St. Augustine. I had a total of four trees taken down and absolutely everything was to my satisfaction, a thing that is quite rare these days. There are 3 pictures attached below. I have more, but posting them online might give the government hints as to where I am, and that's just not on. Communication with me before, during and after the job was completed was excellent. The price was very fair. The crew arrived right on time, were careful, and cleaned up so well, they left things better than when they got here! They were priced competitively, took care of the permitting, and got the work done in a timely manner. Beyond that, they cleaned up after themselves and had our property looking immaculate afterwards. The crew cleaned up after the work was completed so that there was no dust or wood chips on our roof (and our neighbor's roof since they had to access the neighbor's property to fully take down the tree). Anyone visiting us the next day would've never known that we just had a giant tree cut down. There was some oil spillage on our paved alley/driveway from a chainsaw that broke while cutting down the tree, and Northside provided us with a free power wash to take care of the problem. Northside does excellent work and I recommend them if you need a tree taken down.

I just had my first experience with Hickey's Tree Service today. I had a huge tree that came down,…read moreknocked down my fence, and extended most of its length into a neighbor's backyard. I called Hickey's Tree Service on the recommendation of a friend, and in less than an hour, Gene Hickey was here. He checked out the job and gave us a quote which we accepted. Today, he and one of his crew came to remove the tree from the neighbors yard. They did it within 30 minutes. And it was a very large pine tree. Then there was another small tree that had fallen on the fence as well, and they removed it without me even knowing it. Then, when I went out to give him his check, he said that he and his guy were concerned about a dead cherry tree close to my fence which would threaten my daughter's car if it fell down. We had discussed that the day before, but we weren't ready to afford to have that tree taken down as well. Gene said that the job went so well, that he would take that tree down for free. Who in the world does anything for free these days? Talk about Honorable! Talk about someone I would totally trust! Hickey's Tree Service has my business for as long as I have trees, and I have probably 25 or more on my own property, plus all my neighbors are very timber-wealthy as well.
