I thought that this Nepalese Tandoori restaurant was very, very solid. It exceeded my expectations, and I would definitely come back if I were in the area. The servers are very friendly and made our visits feel welcoming and enjoyable. Now about the food. I thought that the flavors at this restaurant were very on point. My sister and I both weren't very hungry, so we each ordered a starter dish and found them to be very yummy. My sister got the Chicken Momo's, and especially because my sister is a very picky person it means a lot that she finished her entire dish. I wound up ordering the Prawn Purée, which were basically prawns in a tomato-based sauce, all within a thin, bread-like wrap. The wrap was accompanied by a slightly sweet yogurt sauce that perfectly accompanied the prawns and wrapped the whole dish together. I definitely recommend the prawns if you're looking for a light but still satisfying starter dish.
My mom and dad both ordered entrée dishes, and the flavors were also very nice. My dad had the lamb curry, and my mom had one of the dishes that our waitress recommended from the "House Specials" section of the menu called the Chicken Lasoni. To our surprise, neither of the entrée dishes came with any sort of carb accompaniment. We were expecting rice or na'an on the side, but you have to order those separately and pay additional money for a side of rice or a piece of na'an. That is definitely one downside to the restaurant since tacking on that extra £3 to each dish does add up, especially when eating out with a larger party. I must say though, the flavors of both entrée dishes were very impressive as well. The lamb in the curry was extremely tender, and it came with just the right amount of sauce to eat the rice and na'an with. Even though the sauce wasn't spicy at all, it still was flavorful and tasted great with the na'an. The sauce of the chicken lasoni was definitely the highlight of the meal. It was a medium-hot dish, and the amount of spice, in my opinion, was just the perfect explosion of flavor in your mouth. Definitely recommend the lasoni here, and it's great because it can be paired with a variety of meats or veggies.
We did have to wait quite a little while for our food to come out even though we didn't order too much. It was around a 30+ minute wait, so make sure to set aside some time if you are planning to come here to eat. We weren't in a rush, so the wait wasn't too bothersome, and the quality of the food was worth it for sure.
So long story short, my family's visit to Nepalese Tandoori Restaurant was very pleasant, and we encountered some of the nicest waiters and waitresses that we have had on our week-long trip to London. You definitely won't regret stopping by this restaurant if you are nearby! read more
