Walked by and decided to try this place for dinner. The atmosphere and service was as wonderful as the food. Our server was very attentive and friendly, answered all our questions patiently. We ordered eggplant bharta, lamb saag, & shrimp masla. They put our food on top of those candle lit food warmers so everything stayed warm throughout the whole dinner which was a nice touch considering the cold evening. Definitely going back again. What a lovely surprise to find such scrumptious Indian/ Nepalese food right here in Baltimore! The restaurant has a wide selection of dishes for every palate. We love Indian food and know how authentic Indian food tastes (majority of our friends are Desi). We went today (Labor Day) and had the lunch buffet. Now normally I am NOT critical with food but like I said, disappointment! Not a large selection of food and only 2 meat dishes (one chicken tikki masala and one chicken tandoori), no lamb/beef, and all other veggie dishes. Mediocre. My friend gave it 2 stars but it wasn't awful...just not worth the hype at all. I guess if you don't know how authentic, delicious Indian food tastes, you would find this to be fine. Would never recommend to someone though honestly. Maybe we caught it on a bad day. read more

I've ordered delivery twice from Nepal House, and have yet to be disappointed. There are plenty of vegetarian options, which is great. The restaurant staff is super nice and helpful. One of the items I ordered was not included (not a big deal) and I called to ask if they would just give me a refund. I've heard good things about this place. Decided to order delivery. an order of kabas some lentils and momos not that hard or that much shouldn't take long to make. I ordered it at 6:55pm and was told it would be delivered by 7:45. I called them at 8:15 to ask where the food was the guy on the phone says "i don't know I'll ask the kitchen." I ask if my food was even made yet and he said he didn't know. Comes back on the phone said the guy already left 20 mins ago. The restaurant is 7min away from my apt. I told him this and he said nothing than just hung up. Dude didn't seem to give two shits about not having food yet and didn't apologize or give any sort of reason. Food finally arrived at 8:30 it was good but not amazing enough to excuse their shitness. I would suggest never ordering out from this place. read more

Good food & atmosphere, dismal customer service. First, the hostess couldn't get it that I wanted to dine in not carry out. After I told her table for one, she setup a table for two. Again I told her "one." The chicken korma was tasty and the chicken was tender but the naan was completely burnt on the bottom. No one ever came back to check on how my meal was or to refill my drinks. When i was done eating, the hostess came to the table and I told her about the naan. She asked me "do you want it to go?" "No" i said. If it was too burnt to eat, why would I want it to go??? Pay attention to the customer! PS...the restaurant was almost empty. Couldn't imagine how much worse it would be if it were busy. I ordered through Ubereats last night. 2 chicken momos, 1 Sekuwa, 1 Kadai chicken and Naan. Momo was made in a rush so ingredients like onions inside were literally raw, over salted, wasn't sure the chicken were cooked enough to be consumed by kids, very raw taste. Sauce had this strong smell of canned tomatoes, again wasn't cooked enough to get rid of that smell. Naan was raw and gluey in the middle while burnt at the edges. Kadhai chicken was soupy chicken curry, never had this kind of kadhai chicken and this claim is coming from a north Indian customer.Order arrived very late only to find out that one big order of Chicken sekuwa was missing. Driver said the remaining order will be delivered by another driver. I waited another hour, restaurant never called or followed up.Very bad customer service. They never delivered the order. Had to complain Ubereats about this nasty experience. Hope potential future customer can get an insight about this restaurants service and culture. I love Nepali food and if I have to compare this with any other Nepali restaurants I have been to in baltimore area, this is by far the worst one. read more

Both the chicken tikka and the lamb and green pepper tandoori special I've had here were great. I wasn't familiar with lamb bhuna before my most recent visit, but it's "lamb cubes cooked with garam masala, green peppers and tomatoes in a wok." How could it be bad? Placed my order on their website, and it was ready in less than 30 minutes. I was able to choose between mild, medium, spicy, and very spicy. Spicy was perfect: lots of heat with a slow burn that hits you progressively harder as you eat, but not so spicy that I felt like I might die. There were chunks of fresh ginger throughout, which I loved. Great dish to get you out of your vindaloo rut. read more

I recently ordered a gift certificate from Nepal House, and the owner was SOOO helpful! He delivered it that very evening, even though I said if it got there in a few days that would be fine, and even though the house didn't have a house number on it because the porch was being renovated. He found the right house and even called me the next day to ensure that the gift certificate was received. Prem (the owner) was great, and the recipients of the gift certificate to his restaurant were super thrilled. I will definitely be going there to try the food, and getting such great customer service really was special. read more

I have tried most of the "Indian" buffet's in this area. While they are all pretty good, Nepal House is just a cut above. The dishes are more flavorful, the kabobs and tandoori have more smoke and everthying is spicier. If you are in the area try this one first. read more
