I learned about Nellis Auction from a friend who got a really cool item. I was excited to win 3 auctions. Each auction said no parts were missing and showed pictures that indicated they had been opened to check that but not close enough pictures to see if anything was missing or not. I live in St George so I had to drive 2 hrs each way to pick up and take home. I had a friend pick them up for me and then I drove a couple of days later to get them from him. You have to pick it up within a week and return it within a week or you lose the option to return anything. I picked them up all at the same time but didn't open them until I got home (live and learn). You can't see from the pictures but many parts were missing from each item. The first item was an under-the-desk keyboard shelf. No screws or brackets were included so it is useless. Another item was a curtain rod. There was only one rod (there should be two that slide into each other to lengthen) and only one wall bracket there should be at least two or it has to balance like a tight rope walker, and no decorative end caps. It is useless. The 3rd item was an exercise trampoline, a small one. It was missing attachments for the bands that you hold onto. It is not worth the time or gas to drive back to return but if all three items were not as described and missing parts, I can't believe this is uncommon. No way I can trust their descriptions so I won't risk buying anything else. Very sad, very disappointed and I'm out my money. read more

items are good lots of variety good for business, I have a adult business and one thing I find funny is that the workers that check you in are always judging looking I'm guessing they can see the items Im picking up or something, every time i pick up something "weird" they give me a disgust face and it's not only the workers that check you in it's also the workers that bring the item to you. it's pretty funny but I think they should try to not make the costumer feel ashamed they are the ones keeping the company alive, but I guess many workers don't really care and that's where finding those that do comes in. read more

A Diamond in.. well ok a solidified turd in the rough, granted we have had some good success however as of late there seems to be something fishy going on and I know Nellis will deny this but I am getting the impression they have bots monitoring the auction now and will wait till the last second to win bids after 24 hours of bidding wars a single bot will come in a win it, this happens when they feel it is to low or whatever the reason only to find the same item posted at the Mesa location several days later. I have been having fun saving money on items I had already planned to buy retail. Just this month I saved over $1000 on air bags for my 2020 GMC, leveling kit, new tonneau cover and bed liner and a whole assortment of Christmas Gifts for the family. I was running late and showed up just as they were slaming the doors. They were kind enough to get me my pickup. Many store would have just slammed the doors. I have never waited in line more than 5 minutes picking up my items. I had two items that were not exactly as described and were missing parts and they took them back no issues. But seriously, as others have mentioned, this online auction site is addictive: it's reselling returns from Amazon, Depot, Ikea, who know who else, so buyer beware. And, if you're careful, you can get some amazing deals. I purchased a brand-new, out-of-the-box upholstered bench for $40, and a cute office desk for $10. If you don't mind minor dings or putting furniture together, this will be your zen. This place is catching on, though, and I'm noticing in a short time that bidders are placing bets waayyy too high - this is supposed to be a place for deals! So please unless you absolutely must have an item, don't up-bid on items - let's let us all get some good deals! The staff? Professional and helpful. I've never had a bad experience there and they actually help load you up and off you go! So I've won many auctions here but screwed on 8 out of 10 of them. I would suggest only going after 1 to 5 and opening your winnings at the site. I currently am stuck with a bike that was said to be brand new and the forks are bent and was missing The bike pedals. Most of their bikes listed as new and nothing missing are either damaged or missing parts and the number one thing is the pedals. The battery operated tools are missing the batteries most the time and they will list them as new, missing nothing. I have bought frying pan from them that would need to be thrown away and should have never been on auction. They have damage items after I bought them when bringing them in a cart to my car by putting weights on them. They later have taken them back but didn't credit my card but gave me a credit on them. So I end up paying for the items. They have lost big items that I have won and had come to pick up with a rental truck and then wasted the money on the truck but end up giving credit towards other auctions. I've had a TV damaged more after winning it and pictures showed before and after. I have waited there up to 3 hours when I had an appointment. The people are all pretty much kind besides one girl with glasses at the return area. The management team seems to be nice but again will only give you credit for things to suck you back in. Would be nice to use the credit on your stuff that day after you drive over 45 mins one way. I have gotten a couple nice things but MY SUGGEST IS TO NOT BUY MORE THEN 5 THINGS AT A TIME AND CHECK THEM THERE BEFORE LEAVING AS THE PEOPLE WHO POST ARE JUST TRYING TO GET NUMBERS OUT AND NOT CHECKING EVERYTHING! I've seen many people come to pick up and disappointed when they get there because things are different from what is described on the auction. They leave with nothing and upset. ****I Love a Good Auction **** However the new Location NJ is a bit of a challenge - it started off great and I got a few good deals , but it has become Painfully obvious they have a few bidders for Nellis Auction in place bidding against you , which is somewhat normal but they are so obvious , it's ridiculous! I've been involved in auctions a long time and it's easy to tel when the auctioneer is bidding against you. Also the constant resetting of the clock is normal but I believe the legal limit is 3x's for an auction. They just seem to go around way too many times. There used to be majority of slightly damaged products which I am always willing to buy , but the last couple Of days has been 90% USED products which I try never to buy as I don't know where that's been. COVID taught us that! So I am inclined to believe the previous reviews about the bit and switch. I had some incorrect items received but it was resolved timely just inconvenient when I purchased something to how with that item and now don't have that item. Anyway this place is *** hit or mis***. I like the pickup convenience but everything else is a toss up! I'll continue with some of my old Auctions which are very reliable and if I find something here great and if not. No loss! read more

Nellis used to be a good sight,but then corporate greed got the better of them. What used to be a competitive bidding sight turned into a 30 second add on to each bid at the end.By doing this Nellis took away any chance of winning a bid in the last seconds of the bidding process without another and another and another 30 seconds added making Nellis more money in the end for their premium. My bank account really regrets that we found this place! What a gem. We have found so many amazing bargains for our new home, at a fraction of what Home Depot or Amazon sells the items for. Yes, we have had a few duds here and there, but the staff has flawlessly handled our returns. Never had anything but courteous interactions with the associates, who are very helpful both in person and over the phone. As with anything, buyer needs to take the time to really review the item description and make sure the item states it's complete, undamaged, and not missing any parts (if that's important to you). The staff does their best to list each item's accurate condition on the auction page. If something is not as described, you can return it within 7 days of pickup. Out of the multitude of things we have bought, we have only had a few returns, and the items we have kept far outweigh any inconvenience. Enjoying the deals while they last, as the more people that find this place, the higher the bids seem to get! Favorite deals - a brand new Hunter ceiling fan for $5 ($99 retail), a brand new platform bed for $30 ($200 retail), Price Pfister bathroom faucets, brand new for $5 each (HD sells for $129), ... so much more. Several items have been "LOST" and several others have not been as described. Paid $50.00 for a cat tower that was suppose to be a $200+ tower ended up being a cat tower that I could have bought for $50 anywhere. Bottom line you get what you pay for and with their new policies of adding time to bids to drive up revenue under the guise of being more user friendly is complete garbage. read more

I have been able to almost fully furnish my new home from Nellis. Both locations are fab. Just have to take care when bidding and review pics and notes. Best bargains I have found are rugs, really large and excellent value. Don't know how people manage furnishings in cities without Nellis. So glad my niece in law referred me to this site. read more

OMG, this is a fantastic site to find incredible deals, but beware it can be totally addictive! Not only is it a good place to purchase quality items, the staff is amazing (PHX location is where I go). Everyone from the team members who check you in at pick up to the guys/lovely ladies who bring your items to your vehicle to the customer service/returns/payment associates to the manager. Yes, I have interacted with ALL of them, because though I'm nice... I can be a little bit of a pain in the ass, but I have never felt like I'm looked at as, "oh, here comes THAT chick again" Poor Cris ("with a 'C', no 'H') has had to deal with my endless questions and bullshit the most and has always done so with a smile and warmth you'd get from a friend. He, and poor Daniel, have gotten pulled into my high maintenance-ness ways too many times, but they have both proved themselves to be rad as hell...even when I unknowingly delayed Daniel from going to lunch. I felt so bad when I found out. Bought an item listed as "new"...it was missing accessories...The rude hispanic girl at the counter told me "just becasue it's listed as new doesn't mean it has to be complete".. my argument was that the word "new" implied that it was as produced by the manufacturer. They refused a full refund and charged me a relisting fee. There were two photos of the item..1 showing what it was and did, and another out of the box...neither indicated missing parts. Have purchased hundreds of things off the site and loved it until I made a purchase of 7 separate but same items. When the items were being picked up I was not given what I purchased. It said 24 pack on the auction listing and they handed me one and said someone did it wrong and they didn't have them. Well that person really screwed up but they have ruined the business's reputation in my eyes and everyone I tell. If their listings are inaccurate why would I bid. Along with the fact that on another pickup they forgot to give us 10 items. And we had to fight to prove we didn't get them. On another time we were given the wrong item and when we tried to return it they said that what we were returning wasn't something we purchased. Well that was the problem -- they gave us the wrong item. Again there can be good deals but if you get screwed on others it doesn't seem worth it. I have bought items listed as new, no missing parts and when I get home parts are missing. It's a great place to try and find what you are looking for cheaper. The bids run for a day then refresh the next day with new listings. We have had good luck with things we have needed like a playpen, toy kitchen, water table, scooter and some various small things. You just have to be selective and click on each listing to see if there are any notes and look at the pictures. Go for the stuff listed as new not used. If it is damaged or not what you wanted you can always return it. I've returned a few things and haven't had any issues with returning. read more

This is now the 2nd time I have bid and won something with an inaccurate description. I won the bidding on a "NEW" dog bed. I get home and open it up and sure enough, it's the farthest thing from new. There's hair all over it, slober and God knows what else and it's missing the most important thing, the part of the bed my dog is supposed to actually sleep on. I'm so irritated right now. Friendly Customer Service. Always help load up. Just expect anything you buy to be damaged or have something missing even if the item description says NEW on it. It seems most everything the have comes from Amazon Warehouse rejects. Amazon Warehouse is the section of Amazon that cleans and inspects returned items and resells them at a discount. Apparently whatever doesn't pass that inspection (too damaged or missing parts) goes to auction. I bought a closet organizer for 33% of retail but had a broken shelf (which the manufacturer replaced free), a Queen memory foam Mattress for 15% retail just a little stained from shipment, and a 8 x 10 rug for $15 that had nothing wrong with it. read more

Store employees and their service are great as always, but customer service line is the worst! Employees are not well synced with policies! I called months before I started to become a regular buyer at Nellis and I made sure to ask them about the return policy. The first customer service person clearly told me I have 7 days from the date of purchased to initiate the return and after that I have 7 days to drop off the return at any location. Since then everything went smoothly for almost a year of being with them I never had any problem with that, always gets my refunds back to my card. But recently my card expired on April and they weren't able to refund the money back to my card and so I tried to call them and fix this for me because I prefer the refund to go back to my bank. That's when the customer service line stepped in but at this point they started arguing with me instead of helping me. They started telling me that I didn't return the items within 7 days that's why it went as a store credit. I asked them really? how come all this time for almost a year of being with them I've initiated my return within 7 days before and dropped off the item past 7 days and everything has been ok? She started arguing saying it doesn't matter that is the return policy and that was the reason why it went to store credit, I'm like this doesn't make sense that was the first thing I had to call about and that wasn't what I was told and obviously the first person who told me i have 7 days to initiate and 7 days to return was the right one who knows about the rules. I told this rep who is arguing with me about it that I have so much proof on my return receipts that I have been getting my money back for all of my returns up until just now because of my card expiring. She wouldn't even acknowledge that, acting like she was right when I've got all the proof about the return policy. She kept insisting it was a mistake or that they gave me an exception. I was getting frustrated because she was no help at all, I asked her if they were doing an exception then why would they do it more than 10 times and not warn me about it? and she arrogantly states that she's been a rep for 3 years now, I'm like if you've been with the company for 3 years then you need to retrain yourself. Would I believe this arrogant rep or the company who hired this person and had been taking my returns all this time with no problem? After I mentioned to her about why they store credited the money, she started telling oh well you didn't mention about your card expiring. I told her back then why are you making up other excuses about this store credit? Then the customer service manager stepped in, she handled the situation better but she also told me that I had so much store credit transactions. I asked her twice about it because I know I never take store credit refunds ever. I asked her how many store credit did I have? She denied to answer this question because apparently it is not the subject of the call, in my head then why even mention that to me then? After the call I double checked all my return receipts and like what I thought I never had any other store credit refund EVER with them aside from these returns I returned on May of 2024, since my credit card expired on April of 2024. Overall the customer service reps didn't do their job right and also lied! Even if the return policy is what they told me, they should've acknowledged that someone in their team made a mistake, its not my fault if someone in their side told me something different. I'm not gonna doubt the person who I spoke to before and call again just to make sure what they told me was right. They should've been more professional and apologized if someone messed up on their side. Either way arguing with a customer instead of fixing the problem is not customer service, these people need more training! aside from that employees at the store locations are great and works hard but not these people pretending to help customers who are behind the front lines! I hope the company sees this message, would be happy if they investigate this arrogant reps! read more
