My computer was running slow and I knew it was my hard drive. I called and talked to Johnathan the tech in the Eastchester store. He said he can help. He would change out my hard drive to a solid state drive instead of me paying thousands for a new computer. He took the time and effort to explain to me the process. My computer was ready to pick up in two days. No more glitches or slow moving computer. I was more than satisfied and would recommend this business to family and friends. read more

Jonathan solved the problem in less than 10 minutes! My old Lenovo laptop stopped charging. I looked around online for a repair shop and found this one nearby in Eastchester. I spoke with Jonathan and told him that I tested the charger with a multimeter and it seemed to have the right voltage. But I told him not to take my word for it because maybe I didn't test it correctly. He took a look at the charge port of the computer to make sure it wasn't physically damaged. The port was fine. He took another charger and plugged it in just to rule out a charger problem; the new charger started charging the computer!??? Out of curiosity, I asked him if I tested the charger incorrectly by telling him how I did it. He said that just because I was getting the correct voltage that didn't mean that it was supplying the right amperage. This may be helpful to others that read this review since many of us use YouTube to try and fix things: I learned how to test my charger by watching a YouTube video by a "computer tech". He showed how to test a laptop charger, and stated that if the voltage is correct, then the charger is fine. He didn't state that the voltage could be fine, but the amperage could be a problem. The lesson here is don't rely on YouTube or assume the worst if you try to fix your computer by watching a video and running a test on it that fails. Just take your computer to a honest and helpful professional like Jonathan. He didn't charge me any fee to take a look at my computer. I just bought a new charger from him and I'm using the computer now to write this review. If I need help with a computer repair in the future then I'll just go back to this shop. Highly recommend that you take your computer there if you're having a problem with it. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Wang and his crew at NCR. I went in with a fried external hard drive, and they retrieved far more files from it than should have been possible. I was charged $350 for well over $1000 worth of service. They also gave me a new HD and a sealed HD (included in the price). I highly recommend this place. read more

I highly recommend NCS on Mill Rd in Eastchester. My laptop was out of warranty when the sound failed and the manufacturer's website troubleshooting recommendations were absolutely useless. NCS ran extensive diagnostics and pinpointed the repairs needed. NCS is professional, knowledgeable and got the job done beautifully, at a fair price, and quickly. Jonathan, the NCS tech expert, kept me advised along the way. It was like having your own corporate tech in your neighborhood! read more

They definitely know what they're doing, my wife's Macbook Pro got water spilled on it from a thermal inside her bag, they were able to fix the laptop with a couple parts ordered so its functional again as well and therefore data recovered (now the data is backed up on the cloud just in case for the future). Going back for the screen fix now that the new part will be ordered. Will def come back for any of the many services they provide, let them work their magic on whatever needs fixing! read more

Only have had to use them twice in the past several years, but nothing beats having a local honest and reputable repair shop in your community. The folks who run this do quality work, use first rate replacement parts when needed and explain in detail the problems they've discovered and what the remedy is. Most people are at a loss when it comes to understanding technology, but they've got your back here. And as far as price is concerned, they stick to the quote they give you and they are much lower than if you send your devices to the manufacturer or take it to the city. Also...fast turnaround on the requested service. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. read more

I recommend you find another repair shop if you need quality repair. I used them twice - one time to replace a screen on an iPad and another time on my son's iPhone. First time, button got dislocated and stopped working. On the iPhone the screen unglued and fell off completely. This is likely because they use cheap 3rd party parts for repairs. In the case of the iPad, my wife called them about the button and they refused to do anything, with the iPhone, I brought it in in person to show them and they said it's been 2 months, so they would have to charge me the full amount again for repair. Very unhappy with the work and customer service experience. read more

After being frustrated by the Apple Store (2 days in a row), I solved my issue by going the Neighbor Computer Services. I wanted to extract the pictures off my current Iphone prior to buying a new Iphone Xs. The Apple Store told me that if my photos were no longer backing up to my cloud, they could not help me. Within a few minutes of entering Neighbor Computer Services I was given a few other options which I should try first and also they took the time to show me how to do it on their computer. When these other options did not work, they found a solution to download my picture ensuring none of them were lost. There were approx. 8 years of important photos of my children and my recently passed family members. Even though it took a few days they never made me feel like they could not find a solution and the cost for doing this was very reasonable. I highly recommend anyone having any computer or phone issues; easy or complex; stop by the store and I know you will have the same results I did since they are committed to ensuring their customers get their problems solved. Very satisfied customer read more

I cannot say enough good things. Found them on ebay but they do not have enough space to review. These guys answers email very quickly and because I was nervous sending my daughters MacBook Pro from California, I needed the reassurance. They kept me up to date from the time I sent it; to the repair; to shipping it back to me. They quadruple bubble wrapped the computer! I don't know how they did it but they fixed a dead Mac within a day and shipped it back in 2 days! No hard drive content was lost! My daughter is ecstatic. Their price and service was awesome!!!! read more

Made an appoinment with these people to come to our house to check on a spyware situation. Set a time and confirmed. They never showed and no call or any follow up. I only was using them because they said they were the same store that had been in Mamaroneck where I used to have excellent service - if that's true more than their location changed. I wouldn't trust them with a Playschool computer now. read more

I have used NCS twice this year and they fixed the computers quickly and very reasonably. I also brought in a very old one with a broken hinge that they said could be fixed but probably was not worth it. They are all very easy to work with and very current on new problems. I had tried competitors before I found NCS and was never satisfied. read more

I came here with a mid-2010 MacBook Pro that was randomly restarting very frequently. I had taken the computer to an Apple Store, where I had been told that the logic board needed to be replaced and that it would cost me over $500. I decided to get a second opinion, which led me to this store. Here, the problem was quickly diagnosed, and the cost of repair was far more reasonable than that given by the folks at the Apple Store. Within a couple days, the repairs were completed, and my machine is now running perfectly again. I am very happy with my experience, and the folks at this store have my whole-hearted recommendation. read more
