The phone showed condensation in the cameras. I originally brought it to uBreakiFix, but they declined to try to help and just suggested I go get a new phone. I brought my phone into PC Warehouse in hopes that they would be able to dry it out and try to save my phone. Justin was very kind and helpful! He set expectations that my phone may not recover but that he would try to dry out the components and inspect the damage anyways despite being very busy and a lot of customers coming in. If I could give 10 stars I would. Justin is incredibly smart and helpful. My 7-year old PC needs 15-20 minutes to reboot. I thought it was a RAM issue and I explained how I tend to work on my PC. He suggested I upgrade RAM, but more importantly, upgrade to SSD. He told me exactly what to buy and since I was reluctant to leave my PC overnight, he showed me how to clone the new SSD. He installed the added RAM and the SSD in a few minutes, installed the Samsung cloning software. My PC now takes 20-30 secs to boot and works lightning fast. Absolutely incredible. I had originally planned to spend $2000 getting a new PC. Instead Justin charged me $68 for parts AND labor and I spent $170 on the SSD. While I was at his office, quite a few people came in with their devices and he was very generous to everyone with his time/advice. Astonishingly a shop with some ethics. When my computer crashed the shop brought it back to better than original without wiping out everything on the hard drive. They got back all my software without having to use backup discs. They took the extra time to contact the software provider and put new upgrades on. I was charged a reasonable fee. I am so happy I came here rather than go through Apple. I paid $95 for my iPhone's screen to be repaired, a fraction of the prices I had seen elsewhere. It has been over a year since and I have not problems with the repair whatsoever. I also brought in my laptop for general maintenance. I spent $70 for a full service hardware and software sweep. It helped my prolong its life but ultimately it died later that year. I wish they had been able to predict it then, but hindsight is 20/20. Parking is very simple; it is part of a small strip mall with its own parking spots. Stop. Do not go to Best Buy for Geek Squad. Do not go to Staples or any other big box store that has computer repairs as a service. I am even close to saying, do not go to many other computer repair services in the area. Go here. Why? I come from a niche of people who used to build their own computers. I grew up with a computer. Usually a present for Christmas or my birthday was a new hard drive, motherboard, video card, or RAM for whatever computer I was building at the time. So, when I see big box retailers like Best Buy telling you that you have to pay $200 just to do a diagnostic (sorry, running defrag, disk cleanup, and an anti-virus isn't worth $200). The lovely couple running PC Warehouse are awesome people. They are who deserve your business. Why? Because I damaged my computer. It has been years since I have physically worked on the hardware of a computer. Did I know what was wrong, yes. Did I want to open it up myself and do it? No. Nor did I want to spend the money to buy a replacement part. Besides, I don't have the tools to do it anyway. I went here. I asked them to transfer the files from my HD to a flash drive. That cost $50. When they finished, they informed me that they might be able to fix it. If they failed at fixing it, it would only be $20. If they succeed, it would be $200. Pretty damn reasonable! They call me up a few days later and tell me that the part I thought was damaged... was damaged... but not as bad as I had originally thought. However, I would need to order a new keyboard. $300 later, I have a computer working like nothing happened to it. Plus, they didn't charge me the $50 to do the data transfer. These are good people. What, what, WHAT are you doing paying $900 for data recovery?! I was almost that person. When my external hard drive bit the dust after only a few months of use, the manufacturer told me the minimum charge would be $720 to see if they could retrieve my data. I fainted. No really, I did. Then again, I have low blood pressure so maybe that was the issue. Cut to a few months later and my relatively "new" laptop completely bites it, too (technology and I don't get along). This is after I bought it a brand new adapter and battery. Some things just don't appreciate all the love I give them. Desperate, scared, and alone, I scoured the Internet for a computer repair shop. I stumbled upon PC Warehouse after reading La's review. And I can vouch: they are the real freakin' deal. PC Warehouse took in my broken computer and hard drive, restored all my files, revived the laptop from its blue screen of death, reinstalled my operating system, backed everything up, and only charged me $230. They staff was nice, understanding, confident, and knowledgable. They made me feel right at east that I hadn't just lost 2 years worth of 16-hour work days and about 1,700 crucial files for my business (because even my third external backup system was acting shady). If you need any repairs whatsoever to your Windows system, I fully and whole-heartedly recommend you come here over any big box store assembly-line-style geekery. Had a iPhone 5 with broken glass/screen. Call PC Warehouse this morning after reading positive reviews here on yelp. She verified it was white (I supposed they don't always have both color screens in stock, but will order for you) and said if its not too busy they could have it repaired same-day. Brought it in around 11:30pm, took a quick peek to make sure they thought it was a straightforward fix. Quoted me $90+tax for my "simple" screen replacement (Glass+LCD). They charged me a ridiculously small amount of money, and did not want more when I brought the PCs back to catch a few emails missed on the first pass. I thought a software issue was affecting the performance of my top-of-the-line ACER computer and tried to troubleshoot it until a sad face blue screen appeared. The idea of going back to Geek Squad/Best Buy thrilled me about as much as a trip to the transmission repair shop. Great reviews at Yelp helped me find Justin at PC Warehouse and considering, it was an unusually pleasant and informative experience. Before even getting a commitment that I would leave my computer, Justin diagnosed the problem as I watched and explained how he diagnosed that the Hard-drive was the issue. He told me he would try and clone my data and settings and recommended installing a new SSD state-of-the-art Hard-drive with 250GB instead of replacing the 1TB Hard-drive that was damaged. Not only would I never use 1TB but this Hard-drive was less expensive and much faster. I took his advice and after $160 (including diagnosis) I was up and running in 1 Day with a faster computer and all my settings in place. Can't say enough good things. Thank you Justin! read more
