I actually went to Computuners three times. The first time was to get a diagnoses (it didn't cost a thing), my friend caught a bad virus and well that wasn't so good. They explained the price and I left it to her. That was almost 4 months ago. Back than i was astonish that there wasn't a fee to to just diagnose the computer. It was a free diagnostic test done. Now my 3 year old daughter mistakenly deleted pics off my cell phone sim card. I freaked out memories down the drain. At least I thought so, I installed and app on my cell phone which only gave me back 100 of my pictures and videos. I immediately thought of Computuners in Nanuet NY when all else failed" I should have thought about them first". I contacted COMPUTUNERS and told them of my situation, Mike was very knowledgeable. I went that night after work and gave them the sim card. Mike said" it has been completely wiped out" I said told you what my daughter did". It didn't matter to Mike "he said I cannot give you no guarantees at all, but I will try". That evening I get a phone call back saying "we can do it", and how much the cost was to retrieve all my information back. I was so amazed they are better than GEEK SQUAD for sure. The price was something I never imagined, reasonable cannot even begin to fit what I paid unremarkable is more like it. Since I saw what Mike and his team could do, I decided to give it another go. I have Toshiba, he was honest to make a long story short and that is being repaired as we speak. My other computer well all the information saved transferred to another computer and my children just brought computers from them, they even had something for my 3 year old. Live DeskTop remote support, customer satisfaction guarantee and most of all you're treated by name and not a number. The entire team is amazing from front desk help to back end repairdepartment. I don't think anyone could ask for anything better, than a business that treats you like a person, understands what you want and reasonable prices. My advice to anyone having computer problems, is before you go out and spend a bundle on a new computer or get ripped off by others, stop by COMPUTUNERS and seek their advice first. Came to this place since it was recommended on a Facebook mommy group. The guys were friendly when I came in. They seem to know their stuff. They do not give receipts or tickets when you leave your stuff with them which made me a bit nervous but I trusted them. I had an external hard drive that I couldn't open and I was freaking out since it had all my kids photos since they were born. The techs told me it would take 2-3 days to give me my free diagnosis since they weren't able to open my hard drive while I was there. It was a holiday week so it took them longer than 2-3 days to call me back. When they did call me they told me they were able to retrieve my files and it is taking much longer than expected since my hard drive was almost at its end of its life. It took them about 2 days to be able to copy all the files to another hard drive I provided. The entire service was about $215. That includes the tax. I thought it was a bit pricey but considering that they were having a difficult time getting into my hard drive and I had like a million precious files it was worth the price. It also cost me about $100 to get a new hard drive from Costco. Computuners can sell you a hard drive but I got a better deal at Costco. I would definitely use their services again. I feel like they were knowledgeable and knew their stuff and were friendly enough to explain everything to make me feel comfortable. They also were super easy to work with. read more

After having a major issue with a big box computer center in New Jersey, who ignored my tower which they had for a week and hadn't even looked at it, I went and took my tower back. I had discovered that these guys were open during this pandemic. I called them, and explained my situation, and 40 minutes later, I was at their shop dropping off my tower. As promised, within 30 hours, they had diagnosed my problem, offered me a solution to my dilemma, including replacing my drive. They were able to safely maintain my data, and installed my new drive, and tied the entire system together, and my system is working flawlessly now. These guys were awesome. They not only worked with me and reassured me they could help me, they NEVER attempted to sell me anything that I did not need, nor were they pushy in anyway. They actually did the opposite. When I asked them to install something, they pointed out I would not require it, since it was included in the service I had done. It was so refreshing to encounter a merchant who was more concerned about a customer, and reinforced their integrity by not charging for something I was already getting. I have been a customer of Computuners since 2015 and enthusiastically endorse their services, reliability and integrity. I became a customer when I brought a Dell laptop running Windows 7 to them after I had experienced a crash. While they were assessing that situation, I found that I could upgrade to a refurbished laptop which was smaller, lighter, and faster, with a larger hard drive, for a very reasonable cost. Included in the purchase of the newer laptop, Computuners copied and transferred all of the programs and data from the Dell to the newer unit, installed a current Windows OS, installed more recent versions of several programs, upgraded the security and virus protection software, etc. I also subscribed to the CompuCare program which assures on-site or remote support of clients' devices and personalizes them to their needs. My discovery of and relationship with Computuners has enabled me to be much more confident and facile using my laptop and other computer devices. They could not retrieve data from my failed SSD Hard drive but they still deserve five stars because when my drive failed on Sunday I found Computuners on a google search and as noted in their ad they were indeed open on a Sunday...that in itself deserves kudos. When I got there at 4pm I was greeted professionally and told they would report back to me within 48 hours with an appraisal of what can be done. Instead the very next morning at 10 am I received a call from them to advise me they had already tested the drive and it was not repairable(note to all, SSD's can fail too) and no data can be extracted. I'm screwed but the fact that I could get a professional appraisal so fast is priceless. I've already ordered a replacement HD overnight and will begin rebuilding data tomorrow...anywhere else and I probably would have lost a week or more! read more

Excellent service! Friendly and patient staff. They explain everything in detail and help you troubleshoot your PC. I had a damaged hard drive that seemed like a total loss. Data extraction from old drives can be difficult, unpredictable, and expensive. Computuners gave me a free diagnosis of the problem. I asked them about specific folders that were important to me and how much data could be salvaged. They were able to respond with the requested information. They gave me an estimate of the total salvageable data and even information about specific folders. They explained the process and how a data extraction is considered successful or not. I felt comfortable giving them the green light to begin the work. That was something I didn't find with other vendors. They solved my problem in a reasonable time and cost. My slow, old hand-me-down machine finally stopped working (spilled a tablespoon of wine on keyboard). Just went in to see how much to get my info off the hard drive. For trading that several years old notebook with a screen/display full of 'bad spots', they retrieved my files, and threw in a 250 Gigabyte external hard drive, no other charge to me. They said they could get value out of the internal parts. Don't know if everybody will get this good of a deal, but I was impressed. Seem like regular, down to earth guys too. I went to the store because my HP laptop wouldn't turn on. The sign on the door says I had to make an appointment. To my surprise there were actual REAL EMPLOYEES inside the store. A young man named Zachary came out to talk to me. He offered to take a look at the computer right on the spot. He disinfected my computer and brought me into the store. The laptop ended up turning on, of course. I asked him how much I owed him and he said NO CHARGE! He educated me on their products and I now plan on upgrading my system. These guys are great! They helped me through a very difficult time when my laptop was hacked. I had very old software for work. They reinstalled it and got it to run with an updated version of windows. Had they not done that, it would have cost me thousands of dollars to buy new software. They didn't stop until it was running perfectly.
