Then nicely asked if they were open because of prior reviews not sure if they are still doing curbside, and the front blinds are shut. Absolutely the worst service I have ever experienced. I brought in my device for repair 3 months ago. After over a month and a half it was ready but it had another issue that wasn't present originally. Now another 6 weeks and I haven't gotten it back yet. Repeated promises never fulfilled. Don't believe the 24 hr hype. They are almost never in the shop. They never call back either. I have been there over 15 times but still I am without my computer. Danny repaired my *seriously* water-damaged/bricked iPhone not once, but TWICE! First time, I bricked it walking around in the rain for a couple of hours and then trying to charge it for another couple of hours (because I am an idiot). The second time wasn't as heinous, I face-planted in the snow on Xmas eve and while I was too distracted by my bloody knee to drop my phone in desiccant right away, at least I didn't try and charge it again. But even if it-- the SAME phone mind you--wasn't as borked as the first time, it's still a frickin miracle to fix such a traumatized motherboard more than once. Pretty sure this means Danny took the tech magic NEWTS at Hogwarts, though he claims I'm the one who's charmed. Regardless of being a repair genius, Danny is also just an all around pleasant person which is also what you want when you've lost all connection to the outside world. I don't know why anyone is complaining about these guys. They fixed my screen once after I dropped a wrench on it. It was done the same day. I dropped a wrench on it again. Yeah, I know.... Anyway, they replaced the screen 3 times, it still didn't work, and they had to order more parts. I assumed it would have to cost more. I asked, and they told me it would be the same price because I was a repeat customer. The chick talking about them being "confrontational" on the phone has a bit of sand in a very specific place. BEFORE YOU READ IF YOU WANT A LONG STORT GO TO LAST SENTENCE!! Very unpleasant experience. Went in for a simple screen repair and Danny the "owner" told me the inside was so damag i'd be better off just buying a new phone. "Conveniently" they sold phones there. i purchased the exact model phone i previously had because it was basically a brand new phone for me. The phone i purchased was locked by apple so i could buy it but i'd have to wait a day or 2 for apple to approve the unlock. i waited an entire week, still using my original broken phone, for the phone to be unlocked. After reaching out many times to ask what the issue was. i had no choice but to show up to the store in person. Danny apologized greatly and replaced my phone on the spot. This new phone was weird within the first 10 minutes of me leaving the store. The phone would reset itself every 3 minutes or so. I again called the store to complain and resolve this issue again. Danny wasn't there but another employee answered. After explaining the issue i was asked for the imei number. after reading the number i was told that the phone i was given was a CUSTOMERS PHONE that was supposed to be repaired and that i should not have that phone in my hands. At this point i was furious. Danny told me 4 pm he would personally drive me a new phone to my house (approx. 20-30 mins depending on traffic) and i would have a new phone within the hour. The time was 7:30 when Danny called to tell me he got into a car accident (blue bmw, important for later on) and couldn't leave the scene if he wanted to until police finished their reports but not to worry about it because he would still bring me my phone no matter what. I work overnight (10-7) so i told him if he wanted this transaction to happen it needed to happen within 2 hours. 9:45 hits and he's begging me for this transaction to happen that night and he'd be at my house in about an hour. Keep in mind i'm already on my way to work and i'm not going to miss a day for a minute long interaction with a guy whos been giving me the run around for about 10 days already. The next day comes and Danny says he'll drive straight to me as soon as he starts his shift at 2pm. 2:30 rolls around i call the store. He answered and said he just got into work and he'd be on his way to me within 10 minutes. i get a call at 4 pm that he had just finished dropping off another customers phone (one customer) and there was traffic and he'd be here in half an hour. Finally Danny arrives and at this point my blood is boiling. He tells me he's parked in front of my building in a blue ford truck ("like an F-150" he described it) I walk downstairs and he's no where to be found. I walked up and down the block to not a single blue car in sight. I called the number he's been calling me on only to find out that number is a company number that leads you to an operating system that straight up works 10% of the time. I'm serious call and try every option they give you, everything but 2 does not function. Anyway after speaking to an employee trying to get a hold of him 4 times he finally answered her call and got us connected. He told me he was in front of the building the proceeded to describe the side of my building, which is very obviously not the entrance to a building. I walk to find him sitting in a BLUE BMW not a truck. He hands me the new phone and tried apologizing again. Obviously i've heard this too many times to take this guy seriously at this point. I go back to my apartment and set up the phone. Only to find out this phone has the same exact problem the original phone i brought in had. I called Danny to yet again resolve this issue for him to tell me i'd have to wait for the next day to get a new phone. When i first brought in my phone he told me any idiot could fix a phone screen and that the refurbishers i bought my phone from did a horrible job. So i went online bought a new screen and fixed it myself. The phone works brand new now. Not a single problem with it at all. He told me any idiot could fix a phone screen so this idiot did. Please save yourself the money, time, hassle and annoyance of giving this place your business. I've been scammed on the internet before and i was never more convinced i was getting scammed then dealing with this business. My 4 year old Galaxy S4 Cell had a severely cracked screen for the last 14 months but still worked pretty good until last night while on a job at 10 pm. Well, I had anticipate that it was time to take advantage of our upgrade eligibility through Verizon and so about 4 days ago, I ordered the latest and greatest S7 Edge with case, mount, 64K Ultra Memory card, etc. Guess when it arrived on my doorstep? At 6:18 pm yesterday evening, approx 3 hrs before the S4 slipped out of my hand for the last time, cracking the screen pretty good, and lossing the display completely. Amazing, I could still receive texts and phone calls... but the problem was, I couldn't transfer all the data from my S4 to the new S7 Edge without being able to unlock the S4 with a password... so now, my business phone/text line is down and I was sick for about only a minute because why?... I had a game plan. About 2 weeks ago, I found a very kind Latino man named Miguel from South America who operates "Be In Touch Wireless", and is also a Boost Mobile Dealer in Yonkers, at 600 Tuckahoe Road, Yonkers, NY 10701. I asked for an approximate quote for the repair of the cracked screen, and the approximate time it would take. He quoted me approx $145 plus tax. and that it would take 4 to 5 or so hours to fix. I kept that in mind and knew eventually that I was going to have it repaired, but as long as it was working, I had no rush. Hence, the game plan... I slept only about 2.5 hours early this morning from 4:30-6:45 or so, and had it in mind to drop my phone off this morning as soon as his place opens @ 10:30 a.m. I used my S Gear watch as a temporary substitute, along with my new auxiliary S7 (not Edge) to get throughout the day, hoping no new Customers calls were missed, etc... So sure enough, while I'm waiting in my Service Truck from 10:25 a.m., Miguel shows up to opened the Store at 10:43 a.m. What a relief. I practically implored him to do his best to make attempt to repair the S4 the same day, willing to pay any amount with gratuity. .. he got right on the phone located a new screen replacement kit locally, confirmed. .. etc. I prepaid; closed my eyes and hoped for the best, and went on my Service Calls,.. he said it should be ready by 5 or so. Around 3:50 pm, I received a call from Miguel saying that the phone is ready an working fine... no exaggeration, at that time I was in NYC going Eastbound on E 79th Street in route to a job, I was intending on making a left uptown on 3rd Ave.... don't you know I made a left on Lexington Ave against the one way traffic downtown... everybody was like... "What the heck??" lol. When I picked up my S4, around 5:30 p.m., I was shocked of how it almost looked new again... An unbelievable experience, of how you can turn a bad situation into a positive, if only you don't panic and focus to find a solution. I don't think this would have been possible with an IPhone or any other brand, which is why our entire workforce will be equipped with Samsung Android primarily.... we intend on using Apple Products in due time to have the best of both worlds... I'd dropped my iphone 6+ enough times, I couldn't even see the screen. Luckily, the phone still worked but it was truly time to get it repaired or replaced. I'd received quotes from a few repair places ranging from $200-$300+ and a few days' wait. Found Miguel through a Groupon ad. Walked in, showed him the damage and he took care of it within less than half an hour for less than $100 plus threw in a tempered glass screen. Amazing! read more
