The gentleman at the counter gave me a price quote and assured me it would only take about an hour, so I told him I'd be back the next day. I returned as planned and handed the phone over. Thankfully, it turned out to just be a screen issue after all! The repair itself was done incredibly quickly and efficiently. He even let me know to come back if I ran into any issues with his work, but everything has been perfect so far and I highly doubt I'll have any problems. The quality of work and the speed make it worth it, but the prices were definitely a bit higher than I initially expected. I ultimately decided on 4 stars because they charge an extra fee if you pay with a credit card, on top of the regular tax. Depending on what you're getting fixed, that credit card fee plus tax can easily add an extra $20+ onto your quoted price. I know a lot of restaurants are starting to do this nowadays, but I wasn't expecting it at a repair shop and wish I had known in advance so I could decide if I wanted to use a different payment method to avoid the surcharge. Fortunately I was able to do so. Overall, they do fantastic, fast work, and the customer service is great! Just be sure to bring cash or an alternative payment method if you want to save a few bucks on the fees!

Take this as your sign to just go to the Apple Store…read more First they placed a Samsung screen on my iPhone 16 Pro Max. Red flag number one! The colors were off and looked terrible, and it had a chin at the bottom. I went back and paid $250 for a proper oled iPhone screen. I was happy with it. I even went back to him weeks later for a screen protector. Everything looked and worked great for 3 months until it didn't. The screen started to glitch when I set it to full brightness then it started to flash and glitch with any movement. Finally my screen just failed. An ideal place would at least have a 90-day warranty or at least try to fix it, especially for a returning customer. He definitely recognized me because I was there 3 times within the past 3 months. Who would want to come back 3 times anyways? He had no intention whatsoever to help me. I asked if he could just check on the screen but he didn't bother answering any questions or concerns. Instead he was rude and I, the customer, had to ask "So how can we fix this?" He wanted $250 AGAIN to make me pay for a new screen. Why would I do that if the first one completely failed? Fool me once. Tuh! He just lost a loyal customer and I cannot recommend this place. You will feel regretful. Just go to the Apple Store so you won't lose out on your money.

I feel like I got scammed. Forgive the long review, but I have to let people know about this…read more I chose this spot a few weeks ago because it's in my neighborhood and I was in a hurry; I would be away for a work trip in just a few hours, so I couldn't go to another phone repair place that I like and trust much more. My screen was shattered and I needed a replacement. One Stop Shop Cellular Services told me that not only do they repair iPhone screens, but they do so while you wait in only 20 minutes for a somewhat reasonable $90 price tag. A little pricier than some places, but more affordable than others, so why not? I had my iPhone 5C repaired on the spot. They fixed my screen, and from the moment it powered on again there were problems. It's clear that they did not have the proper screen for my phone, so they used a different, slightly bigger one that pressed down too hard, assuming there'd be no issue. Of course, there was. There was a white glow on the edges of my screen, and the screen was so sensitive that one could not use it for phone calls because grazing it with your cheek slightly led to buttons being pushed that interrupted your call. I mentioned this to them immediately and they assured me it'd be fine, giving me a receipt and 30-day warranty to have it repaired if it gets worse. Fast forward a few weeks later, well within 30 days, as the problems with the phone worsened and now the screen is destroyed, the digitizer screwy and phone colors inverted. I return to the store, and the employees are defensive the moment I pull out the warranty receipt and begin explaining the issue. They tell me that the phone is not working because I mishandled it, dropped it, maybe even intentionally damaged it so as not to have to pay to have it fixed. Why would I break a phone that was working perfectly well? Is arguing with people in stores over this a hobby that I'm not aware of? The real kicker here was that when I reminded them of the issue with the glowing edges around the iPhone's screen, they claimed that ALL iPHONES, EVEN BRAND NEW ONES FROM THE MANUFACTURER, HAVE A GLOWING EDGE ON THE SCREEN. This is when I knew that we didn't simply have a misunderstanding, but that I was being lied to and scammed. They had the audacity to offer to repair it for $80 because I'm "a nice guy that came back to the store instead of going somewhere else", then explaining that their repair could last either two days or two years, and one never knows. Yeah, right. I won't be going back to One Stop Shop Cellular Services, and I don't think anyone else should go a first time. It's one thing to make an honest mistake: I could easily let that slide. Outright lying about it is not only wrong, but it's bad business as well. Do better.

I had a very disappointing experience with iFix NY Midtown regarding my ROG Ally X repair…read more Last Tuesday, they texted me saying they had diagnosed an issue with the left analog stick controller board assembly, which was affecting input and control response. They said the repair would include replacing the left analog stick controller board assembly to restore functionality. The quoted cost was $230 + tax, with an estimated turnaround time of 2-5 business days. After that, I had to call almost every day just to get updates. Then today, I received a different message saying they had received replacement parts, but not the full set. They said they could replace the damaged analog sticks themselves, but were still waiting for the round LED light rings around the sticks. They also said they could return the device with the controllers functional, but the left stick would have no LED light ring. That was concerning because the original diagnosis and quote were for the left analog stick controller board assembly, but the later message described replacing the analog sticks themselves and leaving the LED ring unfinished. For $230 + tax, I do not think a partial or incomplete repair is acceptable. When I went to pick up the device, I had already called and was told it was ready. But when I arrived, I still had to wait around 30 minutes while they reassembled it. That is not "ready for pickup." To be fair, the owner was there and was kind, apologetic, and professional. My issue was not with him. My issue was with the repair technician handling my device. His attitude was horrendous, and the interaction felt careless and unprofessional. The worst part is that after testing my ROG Ally X in-store, the left trigger felt worse than before, and the light around the stick was no longer working. I brought the device in for a specific repair, and I left feeling like it had been returned with new problems. As someone who runs a tech company and understands customer service, I was shocked by how poorly the repair side of this was handled. I had other products I was considering bringing to them, but after this experience, I will not be returning. A kind owner cannot make up for a disorganized, incomplete, and careless repair process.
