Fresh, clean, kind of hip vibe. Service was excellent. Coffee, egg, ham, cheese, and hash browns were superb! The only reason for the four stars instead of five, was the biscuits. They are made in a sheet or tray, not individual. They are very greasy, and small. I'd say that mine might have been a bit stale, but that's probably my imagination because they probably go through lots of them each day. The ham and egg was much bigger than the biscuit; more than 50% bigger. After a couple bites, I decided the biscuit wasn't worth the calories. Even if you have never had a proper biscuit, you might not like these. So that's it for now. When I come here again, I'll try other things and add to this review. Who knows, I may even change it. read more

I am giving 4 stars ONLY for the spicy chicken and pickles sandwich. It was spicy and delicious. One of the best fried chicken sandwiches ive ever had- maybe even the best. Everything else i have had at nectar has not been great though. All breakfast items have been mediocre. But if you order the spicy chicken and pickle sandwich- you will not be disappointed! read more

Shout out to our server Jake who was awesome! He made great recommendations for both food and drinks and we all enjoyed our meals! He was super attentive and kind which made a huge difference in our dining experience! We'll be returning for more great food soon! read more

Kinda too much food, there was no honey even though the logo is a bee. The service was alright. The ambiance did not have enough bees. Very good root beer though highly recommend. read more

Very cool looking restaurant with a very extensive menu covering breakfast lunch and supper. We ordered drinks.. The German blonde ale was ok..not great. When bartender delivered drinks he spilled one on my wife and the table. The deviled eggs were very good. We ordered the spicy chicken n pickles sandwich with fries for one and collards for the other. The chicken sandwich was huge and tasty The fries were cold. The collards were very good. Also ordered Ribs..they were dried out....Mac n cheese good..and another in our party ordered Salmon which was good not great. Our waitress was sweet and really tried her best to recover...but the inconsistency of the food and drinks made me surprised that this is a SERG group restaurant read more

Seriously, don't walk, RUN here!! Wife and I had breakfast (Bag O Donuts, HUGE pancake, eggs, grits, spicy sausage, biscuit) and every bite was a true pleasure. Staff was responsive and courteous, true southern hospitality! Bloody Mary and Coffee too - O M G, yum! A place I will visit again, for sure! read more

I ordered the pork & rice bowl with carrot habanero on the side, it was totally delicious. My grandma got the crab & grits dish. That cream sauce was amazing! The hush puppies with peach butter were also delicious. Angela was our server & she was so sweet & very knowledgeable. Matt the manager is also a really great guy!! Wonderful atmosphere & great staff :) read more

We tried Nectar for the first time tonight. Service (Angel was our sever) and the food was probably the best we've had in Bluffton over the last 11 years. Will definitely go back. read more

This is an awesome place for brunch. Everything was awesome! Great food, excellent service. Thank you! We will be back for dinner.

Atmosphere was nice, service was wonderful, but the food was the star of the day. I had Eggs Benedict and my husband had the Lowcountry Sea Omelette. Both came with incredibly smooth and creamy grits. The ingredients were so fresh and cooked wonderfully. We enjoyed it so much we're planning to return again before heading home. read more

Wonderful meal and amazing service! Brandee was the best server. She clearly went above and beyond to accommodate us.

We visited Nectar last Saturday, during brunch/lunch. We had only a 15 minute wait, easily spent shopping their adorable merchandise. The staff at Nectar hustles, and have their timing perfected for cleaning tables and seating customers. The menu is accommodating and our service person explained that 95% of all food served is made from scratch. It was my husband's birthday meal so we splurged with two appetizers - fried green tomatoes (crispy, delicate and delicious) and a seafood stew (no scrimping on seafood or flavor). Plus - a basket of biscuits!! For our entrees, the chicken and pickle sandwich was fabulous, crispy, moist, flavorful and my husband got a fried oyster basket - perfectly cooked. BUT - I caused a bit of a problem with my gift certificate; I did not hit "redeem." Yikes! BUT - our service person was patient, supportive and summoned the manager to assist. The manager, who in another life had taught at the same Baltimore high school as I, was a technology whiz and quickly found a solution! Further, our service person went an extra step so I would never have the problem in the future. Delicious food, attentive and helpful staff - and I want to do some shopping in their merchandise section!! read more

Great food and ambiance. We ate here on our way out of town from Hilton head. The tomato based soup (can't remember the name) was fabulous. The tomato pie was tasty. We sat at the bar and Paul the bartender was very friendly. read more

If you are looking for a great breakfast spot , this is the place for you !! The grits are the best , also the spicy sausage is delicious and there biscuits are excellent , but what makes this place even better is Ashley, what a wonderful server !! She makes recommendations to everything that they make here fresh and shows up at your table just as you might need more coffee!! Great smile and personality!! You'll come for the food but you will love the exceptional service !!! read more

Great drinks and food. Love sitting outside! If you're staying in the Bluffton area or passing through, you must try for brunch!!

Great food, atmosphere, and service. So good we came back the next morning! Definitely recommend.

Atmosphere and service were great. Food needs some work. Salad was OK. Southern breakfast, recommended by the server, was pathetic. Small sausage patties lacked taste and molded potato has browns could have come from McDonald's. Lots of white space left on the plate. read more

I give a business a couple of chances usually. Tonight's meal was the last chance, three strikes and your out My meal was severely overcooked and all I got was I am sorry. I understand all restaurants are understaffed but there is no excuse for the kitchen staff to mess up three meals in a roll. Therefore, I give up on the meals at nectar read more

Love the outside seating. The bar menu is great! Our bartender Matt was fantastic and helpful with the menu options

Incredibly good food and wait staff! Honey lavender latte was incredible and the food was top notch! All fresh and cooked perfect. Sawmill gravy and grits were the best I've had in a long time! read more

Absolutely of the best southern style farm to table restaurants I have ever seen great for groups, bar for singles and lots of both for families read more

Won't be eating at this place. Parked in the not full parking lot to have lunch with my husband and toddler. We're on vacation. Heard what appeared to be a parade. Decided to walk towards the noise first (1 block) so our two year old could see it for a few. Stayed maybe 25-30 minutes until he saw a Santa. Headed back to the restaurant to get lunch. Toddler had a dirty diaper so decided we'd get stuff to change him. As we're walking up to the car had a girl come out and scream at us about towing us. Said she watched us the whole time. Incredibly tacky. I've never in my life had this type of experience at any restaurant. So my husband said we'd never be back. Maybe put signs up saying you'll tow or you'll have creepy people watching our every move. Currently headed elsewhere to eat. read more

Wonderful and quirky selection of breakfast/brunch/lunch stuff. Everything we tried was great (including the bag of donuts and plum jam). My 3 kids and mother all found something delicious to try. Service is great and be sure to check out the local honey and stuff sold up front. read more

Lunch and dinner are good, but breakfast, don't waste your time. No flavor to it. The hash browns, I think they got from McDonalds. The biscuits seemed like they weren't sure if they wanted to make biscuits or corn bread, so I think they tried to do a combination, it didn't work. Though they say it's only biscuits. Have to say one of say one of the worst breakfasts I ever had. Will still go there for dinner read more

Delicious brunch on a recent Saturday. Group had a BLT, breakfast bowl and omelette! Everything was good. Grits and bacon were special. Great service. Dog friendly patio. Parking was tight but we found a spot! Never disappointed there. read more

I had a hair in my food and was told it was a root. The waitress was beyond rude . This use to be my favorite place but I will not be back anytime soon. Thankfully manager was amazing and I thank him for taking care of our bill. This place has amazing food, it's just a hit or miss with service. read more

My son and I stopped for lunch one day and I ordered a shrimp pasta with a garlic lemon butter sauce. The pasta was good but it was dry unlike most pastas in a sauce, so I asked if they could bring me a little more lemon butter sauce...they brought me a slice of lemon and a small container of soft butter?? Was I supposed to melt the butter and make a sauce at the table? Was very disappointed and I felt like there was an arrogance about my request, perhaps because the dish was not on spot. Any qualified chef could've melted some lemon butter garlic sauce in a matter of minutes. read more

Not enough gluten free options. No gf soups. I am disappointed with the new menu. Service is okay.

Stopped in for drinks. Zee at the bar was very sweet and friendly. Try the ginger bee!!!! Had a great band playing outside too. Make sure to check them out read more

The food and service were great. It's a cool atmosphere too. It's a bit pricey for breakfast food but nothing crazy and it's farm to table so I understand. It's definitely worth a try! I'll be returning! read more

O. Of the best restaurants here. Breakfast and dinner fantastic. Nice staff. Quick kitchen. Quality place

Took a couple friends to Nectar last night and we all enjoyed it. For a Sunday, they were busy, so service was a tad bit slow, but we were willing to wait as it's a pleasant setting. Two of us had the fried shrimp basket, and the other had a dinner salad with chicken. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The shrimp were lightly battered and delicious. Can't say enough good things about the home fries! The only part I didn't especially like was the cole slaw. It was more a vinagrette dressing, with the cabbage coarsely chopped. The portion was quite small as well. The menu is diverse, prices seem reasonable for the area, and the environment is very attractive and comfortable. We'll be sure to frequent it again. read more

Very good food. I had the blue crab and grits which I highly recommend. Atmosphere is nice also.

Unique and great-tasting selections, all prepared with care. Although the location was very busy, the service was good.

I'm sooooo disappointed we got into the venue where we were seated almost immediately . We sat there for about 10 - 15 mins we weren't even greeted not even offered water. I would love to tell you whom our server was but they couldn't be bothered to simply introduce themselves. I'm giving it two stars because it looked clean and the host was nice... I guess. Anyway. Maybe I'll try again another day. Have the day you deserve read more

Fancy but overwhelmed for the amount of staff and quick popularity. Getting food takes forever and it always seems like the waitresses are in such a rush- they just drop and run. I've been there three times and was never even visited again for a refill of a drink. Food is great but the poor service and long waits lately don't even make going there worth it. read more

We were looking for the previous place which we really liked and found out that it had changed owners. It was 4:00 Sunday afternoon and we just wanted a beer and appetizer so we stayed. The server did not know what a porter beer was ( they do brew) and there were not any appetizers to choose from on the menu. We ended up with french fries. There must have been 20 servers and employees roaming the floor. Our server only came by once after our order and that was after we flagged her down. We thought it was interesting that not a soul stopped by the table, picked up empty glasses etc. This is not a place we we would go back to. read more

We went there on their fifth night of being open. It was a great night, where all things were open to everyone. We arrived relatively early at around 6 o'clock and was seated quickly. Looking over the menu on line, I knew I wanted to try the braised short ribs. They were delicious and fork tender. My wife had the Dr. Joe's Duck Hash, calling it the best she's ever had. Overall, delicious and we'll try this place again. read more
