He was in awe of their work. Everything was done to perfection. We had over 6 bids for bathrooms ( total redo) and their prices were amazing for the work they did! They listened to our concerns, came up with a plan. We could not be happier! Besides bathrooms, we were going to have them do our flooring- carpet to LV. Third floor condo - we ordered all, they bought everything up three flights of steps ( 950 square feet) - after carpet was up they noted flooring was off, and LV was not an option unless floor floated. We opted for carpet. They hauled all of the LV back down three flights. Zero complaints. Happy to do whatever was in our best interest! When we thanked them for their great work throughout, their response was always " we thank you. We are grateful for the work!" Kind, perfectionists, trustworthy, tidy... we can not say enough good about them. Family run business. Gustavo and Danny have our highest recommendation! Prior to contacting them, I had called a few contractors that either way overpriced or had a hard time communicating. Andrew was very pleasant to talk to and we were able to negotiate a price I felt was reasonable. The proposal was detailed and I understand what the scope of the work will be. People that worked on the project were knowledgeable. They explained what they are doing and answer my questions and concerns. The project in the end concluded to my satisfaction. Overall I do recommend their service.

Where do I even start. My wife and I hired Handyman based off of all the positive reviews and our…read moreinteractions during the quoting process. We asked to have a room converted back into a bedroom after the previous owner had tore it down. They said it was a very simple job, put up a few walls, hang a door, etc. and that it would take 5-7 days to complete. Handyman hires subcontractors and assigns them to a job, we were assigned Ro. He was very nice and had a good personality, but was extremely unprofessional, always late, skipped days without notice, quality of work was very poor, always lied, over promised, under delivered. The total length of the project was over 8 and a half weeks. 40 business days or 56 days of people in and out of our home, which was far more than 5-7 days. Each week we received a note that stated it would be completed by end of week, which was a lie each time. Job started 4/8 - Job ended 6/4 Ro would have random people at our home on any given day, some of which I'm not sure if they were licensed as he claimed one person was his "brother" and that gentleman seemed like he didn't know what he was doing. Example would be this man painted all of the was with paint that had no primer in it and did not primer first. So the following day when it dried, the paint started to flake and peel off in chunks. Ro would also leave piles of trash at our house and construction debris in our walkway, which in our contract it said he would take it every night. Did not mask off the room correctly, got dust in every crevice of our home, and made it impossible to walk through with the way he hung it. In total we had about 12+ people (contractors?) work on a job that was claimed to be simple and only take a few days to complete. Durning these agonizing 8+ weeks, I was in contact with Travis the owner. I was expressing constant frustrations and concern of quality of work. He would always over promise and under deliver, along with zero follow up. For the duration of the job I felt as though I was the project manager on his behalf. It wasn't until his GM Jeff returned from vacation and I demanded and in person conversation that Ro was removed from the job and the rework began on all of the things he messed up. Jeff was good to work with and has much better communication. But anything is better than almost nothing. Rework was as followed: Door was framed wrong and had to be removed and replaced All walls needed to be skim coated (they did this close to 6 times?) walls still uneven. Floor had to be torn out and redone a floor guy laughed at how bad it was done the first time Baseboards were removed and replaced but have gaps everywhere. Drywall damaged after install, replaced and fixed Fan was wired incorrectly causing the circuit to trip All the door trim was installed with wood screws and was over filled with too much wood fill A bunch of damage happened to things unrelated to the job that I asked them to fix. They painted 3 times as they kept having to fix things I'm sure other things but this was all I documented After all the rework and continuing quality issues of work being done we told Travis and Jeff that it was fine to call the job "completed" and please cut us an invoice. Even with us not being satisfied with the finished product, we wanted them out and our home back. We received a muddy invoice that we had to verify as it was a mess, once confirmed we paid it and moved on with our lives. Now everyday I look at that part of my house in regret of hiring this company. I'm writing this review in hopes that you can avoid what we went through and I would encourage you will find a better company to work with, as we have. Here are some pictures of the issues durning that caused rework along with the "finished product" I would not recommend them in the least bit.

Paid to have squishy floor shored up. B team put down real thin plywood. I brought it to his attention and asked to remove it and put down thicker, more solid plywood, but he just put down another thin sheet. B team assured me it would be fine. LVP installed and bathroom done, and my floor is still squishy and LVP is separating and cracking in spots. That said they were the only ones I could find who would do subfloor repair, so that's something.

Done to Spec had a competitive estimate compared to several other contractors we researched. The work was done well and overall we're very happy with the results, especially the tile work. They went out of their way to make sure the stairs were done correctly and that the wood matched up well to the tile on the landing. The tile in the bathrooms was very well laid out. The project went more slowly than expected, however, since they're a pretty small outfit, and this was a pretty large project. We weren't under any time pressure, and we felt they took the time to do it right, so it was OK in the end. Communication seemed to get more sporadic over time, and we had a little surprise charge near the end of the project. The charge was justified, just not well communicated. Overall though, we can highly recommend Done To Spec, and would hire them again.

The project was to demo 800 square feet of 30 year old tile and install new tile flooring that runs from the large entry way under the front door into the living room of my house. With huge plate glass windows throughout the space. There was also a rainwater drainage issue that needed a solution. All my concerns about the tile layout and sloping for drainage and protecting the big windows were all addressed both upfront and throughout process. This job included removing the old tiles, machine grinding to remove old cement and rebuilding of the cement base outside, putting in a new drainage pipe through a cement frame under a glass wall and then installing the new tile. The end result is a beautiful new tile floor. I highly recommend DJ and his team to handle your home remodel projects.

I believe they have the skill set to do basic repairs and projects. Maybe even more than easy, but it seems when any sort of adversity comes the quality falters. I had a driveway done, which does look nice, but ended up cracking in quite a few places. Not two or three places, but all over. Cracking across the majority of the driveway. I asked about any sort of warranty, having one or two cracks I could've looked past it. When it continued and started cracking all over it got frustrating. Especially when JD came out and looked at the cracks and told me he would ask his concrete guys about a fix. (At this point I was already anticipating he would NOT get back to me, and what do you know. Ghosted.) No communication after that, no attempts to update me on any sort fix. For anyone that reads the reviews. You'll notice the out of country, had an emergency excuse. He used that excuse with me as well after blowing us off for multiple days at a time. Seems fishy. Cheap contractor. Cheap work. Bad customer service. I'd recommend to do your due diligence and get more quotes especially if these guys are your only one. It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

Steve provided several great suggestions for us after walking through to see what we needed - which we really appreciated. His crew had great attention to detail (our new doors required a bunch of precise masking) and did really high quality work. They also left the house super clean - we didn't find even a scrap of tape left behind. We couldn't be happier with the outcome, and the cost was reasonable - especially given the high quality.
