I believe they have the skill set to do basic repairs and projects. Maybe even more than easy, but it seems when any sort of adversity comes the quality falters. I had a driveway done, which does look nice, but ended up cracking in quite a few places. Not two or three places, but all over. Cracking across the majority of the driveway. I asked about any sort of warranty, having one or two cracks I could've looked past it. When it continued and started cracking all over it got frustrating. Especially when JD came out and looked at the cracks and told me he would ask his concrete guys about a fix. (At this point I was already anticipating he would NOT get back to me, and what do you know. Ghosted.) No communication after that, no attempts to update me on any sort fix. For anyone that reads the reviews. You'll notice the out of country, had an emergency excuse. He used that excuse with me as well after blowing us off for multiple days at a time. Seems fishy. Cheap contractor. Cheap work. Bad customer service. I'd recommend to do your due diligence and get more quotes especially if these guys are your only one. After talking to many contractors I'm very happy we went with JD. The new quartz countertops look amazing and came in at an excellent value. The job only took a few days when I was quoted two weeks by other contractors. JD was also very patient with all of my questions and gave some solid free advice. I don't even know where to begin. We hired JD construction in good faith that they will take care of our home. We deeply regret hiring this company and even upholding our end and paying in full when they left the job unfinished. The exterior paint is super blotchy and paint is uneven all around the house. According to JD, multiple paint coats were applied and this is coming from a person who was never there when work was done. The house looks like only primer was applied. Worse, when we asked JD to come and fix it, he blamed us for going with a light color and that the wood material is rough. You knew all this when you came out for an estimate, and as a professional I trusted that you would do the job right. It was agreed upon that scrapings of wood would be done as needed and to our surprised, they didn't do any scraping except for what scraped off from the pressure washing. The entry door was painted black over an old burgundy and you can still see the burgundy. The driveway was not covered and paints from the garage door bleed onto the surrounding concrete. As if that isn't bad enough, the guys that did work stepped all over our plants and damaged it. They also did not put the light bulb that they took out and just left it in front of our house. After spending thousands of dollars, my husband and I had to get more paint to repaint the house ourselves. Stay away, or you will regret it! Headaches galore with these people. Pictures don't lie and they are worth a thousand words. If you are looking for a company with integrity, good work ethics and who would take care of your home and get the job done right, JD General Construction is not the company I would recommend. read more

Our roof had a leak on the most rainiest day of the week. The rain was really coming down hard and we didn't know who to call. So I reached out to roofer on yelp. JD responded and came 1.5hr later. He did an estimate of my roof and started fixing my roof. As he was fixing my roof he discovered that the builder who constructed my roof did an a** job and he had to do the whole section of the side of the roof to fix the problem entirely. He is a roof specialist! I admire his thoughtfulness and genuine service to get my roof fixed right. He completed the job hours later and explained to me the situation. Please read before contacting them: Called them and they came out the same week.. didn't really take much time to look over my bathroom remodel.. said he could get it done no problem and that he'd get me a quote later that day. A couple days pass and nothing I reach out no reply.. I call and he says he will get it to me later that day... A week goes by nothing.. I called/texted and NO REPLY NO ANSWER.. A couple more days go by I reach out and still no reply/answer. Again earlier this week I reach out and no answer or reply. After countless calls, texts, voicemails I am giving up and 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM! To JD: You could of at least replied/answered and stated you didnt want to do my remodel or had the time to. JD repaired a roof leak last year for me. Unfortunately the repair didn't fix the issue. I contacted JD a year after and he came back to repair it again. Unlike some of the contractors out there, JD kept his promise about guaranteed his work. Honest and responsible. Definitely recommend him if you have projects that need to be done. read more

Ive had Jasveen work on a couple emergency roofing jobs for me. The first was in January of 2020. The awning of my 17 year old home was taking on water and leaking down the side of the house and front porch. They were the first to respond for an estimate, had a good price, and completed the job that night. I was happy with the speed of service because the damage was minimized. I called them back to look at another roofing and water damage issue on a rental property in December. They were able to start within a couple days and replaced the roof, gutter and repaired some damaged sheetrock on the interior. My husband scheduled an in person estimate over the phone with a call center, and then on Monday, he spoke with presumably 'JD' and confirmed the appointment for today at noon. Driving down from Snohomish to Kent, I arrived at noon and 'JD' was no where to be found. At 12:15, my husband called him, and 'JD' said that because he tried calling this morning at 11am(missed call - didn't leave a voicemail - husband was working), and my husband didn't answer, he decided to cancel the appointment all together. He knew how far I would be driving - we made this clear initially, and his reply on the phone after notifying us of his decision to cancel the appointment, was that if I waited another 20 minutes, he would be there. In total, I spent 20 minutes waiting and an hour and 30 minutes driving round trip, for 'JD' to blow me off without notification. You are unprofessional, unreliable and most importantly, you are not a man of your word. read more

I woke up this morning with rain dripping into my bedroom after all this record breaking rain. I found JD construction on yelp, saw their great rating and contacted them. They got back to me right away, and were at my house within a few hours. They reviewed my roof and determined someone had previously used the wrong sealant around the sky lights. They recommended I let them re-seal the skylights before doing any more intensive repairs like replacing shingles, as it would most likely not be necessary. Over the years we haven't had a lot of luck with contractors on the standard sites. ( Angie, Home advisor etc.) We thought we would give Yelp a shot. JD Construction did a great job painting our house. Jasveer came at arranged time for the estimate. He gave a reasonable and competitive estimate in line with other estimates we received. When done, he noticed some eave and roof work that needed some attention. He did that work, suppling materials and labor, at no extra charge. Unheard of these days. A leak we have had by the chimney for decades was also repaired. ( They also do roofing) He and his crew started work on time with power washing and brushing where needed. They cleaned up the substantial mess when done. Next day taping and painting. Some walls needed several coats. Next day repainting siding that needed another coat and hand brushing trim. They knew what they were doing. Final clean up of area was fantastic. Great job of painting! We are very satisfied with the job they did for us and would rehire JD Construction without reservation. read more
