This was another pretty solid experience. We really like their pop up bars because they're well decorated and fun. They really go the extra mile for the vibes but it's still distinctly a tiki bar. 5/5 for ambiance. The food was pretty good and comparably priced for the area. The nachos were probably the best value because they were huge and similar in cost to the sliders. We got 2 popcorns because they are small but cheap. The drinks were excellent and you can buy the drink ware if you like it. The service is really the main area they can improve in. The servers themselves were great but they were running ragged. You will probably have to ask for the check or flag them down if you're on a timeline. Another bartender would have probably solved the issue.
I really really hate to write a negative review about a Belltown spot but man this was disappointing. Very cute Christmas decor and the oysters were genuinely delicious but the energy was weird and charging $32.74 for a SLUSHIE is wild. It didn't have any dimension of flavor it just tasted like alcohol, I ended up letting my friend finish it which hurt my heart because again, it was $32.74 for a very small, not great tasting slushie. It was super quiet when our group came in but staff didn't seem super happy that we were there at all, forgot my friends oyster bump ($10 additional) at first and seemed kind of irritated at people that just ordered beers and people that ordered food. Maybe just an off night but I probably won't try again.
I visited during the Halloween pop up and I loved it! The service was great and I could tell the cocktails were made with care. The drinks sounded a little intimidating but they were delicious.
Visited this establishment on Sunday evening at the request of my friend. She had seen social media posts about their Xmas PopUp. Definitely not my vibe. It's a tiki bar decorated for Christmas serving holiday themed cocktails. No line to get it, wait to be seated. My friend wanted the experience so she demanded they clean a seating area just vacated for us to sit. We sat next to a Santa reclining amongst a barrel in worn chairs. When I sat on the cushion it was so worn I wondered if I was going to be able to get up. Our table was a chest. The server gave us drink menus and we asked about food, I was starving. The server informed us they had run out of quite a few items and had a limited menu...great..I'm vegetarian and allergic to fish. Luckily they had jackfruit sliders available which I ordered and my friend ordered the ahi tacos. She ordered a cocktail, I decided there was nothing appealing to drink and was in sticker shock with the price of drinks. The 3 ahi tacos served on lettuce slices came out almost 10 minutes before my two small jackfruit sliders. They were served on very small and tasty dinner rolls, not a normal size. The sauce was spicy and flavorful. I was starving! Just weird that my two sliders took longer to prepare than the tacos, they were nothing special, maybe a tablespoon of jackfruit, small amount of coleslaw, definitely did not match the price of $14. The bill came, we each got separate checks, mine came with an automatic 20% service charge. Of course when I looked at the total it was more than the total after tax. It wasn't until I read the fine print on my receipt that I understood why my total was more. The server didn't even point it out. My friend's receipt did not have the 20% service charge just mine. The entire experience was weird. The server never came back, left no additional tip because I just felt unwelcome. Would not revisit this establishment.
I was looking forward to checking the themed pop ups here having missed the halloween ones last year and this year. I finally got to check out the Sippin' Santa Christmas pop-up at Navy Strength, and it was a mixed bag. The decorations were super fun and totally got me in the holiday spirit - they definitely nailed the festive vibe. But the drinks were kinda steep at ~$20+ each and then they slap on a 20% service charge. The atmosphere was cool, and I had a fun time, but I'm not sure I'd rush back given how much I ended up spending. If you're looking for a one-time holiday spot with some Instagram-worthy decor, it might be your jam.
My husband and I came for drinks after dinner and the vibe of the place was super welcoming thanks to the bartender Mark! He was so friendly. My husband didn't favor his cider very much and said it was dry. I ordered the PALENQUE PERRITO, there was no "mint" on the menu listed for this drink but boy oh boy did it have tons of it! I hate Moscow mules and this tastes similar to one.
Came here for the Christmas pop-up bar for the holidays and got a time right before closing, the staff was wonderful even though we were a little close to last call they got us a spot at the bar in time to buy one drink! I love the decorations inside and the cups they used for their holiday drinks Thank you again!
The drinks were a little too ice heavy for me for the price, but I think that's also common in Tiki/tropical style bars. The inside is cool with a lot of funky decor which makes it a cool place to hang out with friends or take a date. Staff was really awesome and there was a lot of seating which makes this stand out, especially in the Belltown area. I would definitely return to try more drinks because they did have a lot on the menu and the ones we did have were still tasty, even though they were on the sweeter side.
Sippin' Santa was such a fun holiday spot! The decorations were beautiful and totally set the Christmas vibe. I went on a Sunday at 7, and while the kitchen was closed, the drinks made up for it. The Tom and Sherry was amazing--creamy with a hint of saffron--I could've had six! The Sugar Plum Mai Tai was great too, with just the right touch of cinnamon. Perfect place to get into the holiday spirit!
Super cute Christmas theme bar. Drinks are pretty expensive but it's strong so I'd say it's a bang for your buck. Love how this bar is connected to another bar next door as well. Weekends get pretty packed here so beware.
So Navy Strength looks pretty good. It's got island vibes more than tiki vibes but it's a tropical bar... not a Tiki bar.... Although there is definitely some crossover. Decor is really eye-catching..... except if you are sitting at the bar. Buckets, trash cans, large appliances, employee's snacks and clutter everywhere. It's a disgusting view! But other than that, everything works. I only had time for one drink. The cocktail with four types of banana. I didn't really taste too much banana but it was really good! They do tack on 20% but I tip at least that... but still it's a shock.
Being from "da islands" of Maui and O'ahu, every now and then we like to scope out the tiki/tropical bars here and there on the mainland. Being a Navy brat, this place caught my eye for both the tiki vibes and name. Decor is a bit mish mash even for a tropical themed place. Perhaps it was the lighting scheme but it felt flat, not very "warm." Service was attentive and friendly quick, not pushy at all. The drinks ($14-$19) were not very memorable though. I expected them to be sweet but they were *syrupy* sweet. Would be cool if there were more options for pupus, like taro chips with dip or Hawaiian beef chips. Something salty but not heavy to complement the slushies and sweet drinks. Extra props to our server for writing "ありがとう" on my tab!
We came to Navy Strength as a party of 4 on Friday night. It was BUSY but we were comfortably seated within the first 5 minutes. We absolutely love what they did with their decor to get into the Halloween season-creepy tiki is hilarious! This is even before we got a peek at their menu. We love the detail that they put into their menu-it was fun to not just go over what we wanted to drink, but how they tied into the scary movies they were themed after. We would come back for some merch! I ordered two drinks-the "What's in Norman's Cellar?" and "Samara's Cup". "What's in Norman's Cellar" took me by surprise-the presentation on this cocktail was simple, but totally worked! This cocktail really was a love letter to the Southwest- it had masa, chocolate, and chile pin. I wish that it had more of a kick to it, but it was a pleasant sipper. It is thicker in terms of consistency, so fair warning to those who aren't into milkshakes. While I would have liked there to be a tequila or mezcal cocktail that had a different mouthfeel, this cocktail works and was unique! "Samara's Cup" was OUTSTANDING. It came with a candied apricot on the top, and was a delight from start to finish. The gin/persimmon/apricot/lemon/tamari combo-this was absolutely perfect. This is a winner of a cocktail, and was beautifully presented. I have never been to Navy Strength before this visit, but between their excellent service, lovely staff, and incredible flavors, I can't come back soon enough! Extra props to them for their coasters. They recycle their cardboard boxes of liquor by cutting them up and stamping them with their name. I LOVE this-every coaster is recycled and unique.

Slightly demented & unwaveringly delicious! It's suddenly warm evenings in Seattle and I get to hang out downtown on a Friday night. This is SO rare. I've walked by Navy Strength several times - but always On-the-Way-to-Somewhere. This time I got to stop in, and it's got the welcoming, slightly kooky vibe I want out of a tropical paradise plunked down amidst highrises. Walking past an impressive tray of tiny oysters on their moat of cracked ice was a promising start. We sat outside at a sparkling turquoise table b/c it was a gorgeous evening, but the tiki/tropical bar inside was tempting as well. The menu owes much to a 80's ad copy brights & 16bit animation. Eye catching & fun. Then you get down to the cocktail descriptions & realize "tiki bar" is right out the window - this has a the tropical scope Trader Vic's could only chase in its dreams. For people not looking to go off the deep end, the Navy Strength Od Fashioned is a good friend with a tasty new pair of shoes. Or I went with the Saturn Slushie. The frozen drink texture is spot on. The fruit & tart & spice and hint of bitterness at the very back all make for a refreshing and balanced drink. I'm coming back to try the Space Crush & the Maghrebi Mint Sour. ALSO an impressive lineup of tasty, complex N/A drinks as well. Even a bitter one. The Bar Snax continue the slightly demented & tasty vibe. The pile-o-nachos is impressive in hight, but also assembled in a way that makes them easy to eat. Quality chips! & the radish - nice touch. The chicken steam bun w/ strawberry gochujang & slaw is tasty top to bottom and paired perfectly with the drinks. Must try the spam musubi bun next. Stop in for a cocktail or 2 & food. read more
One of the best tiki bars in Seattle, I love this place! Their drinks are always so good, but they do change pretty often so I'd you see something you like on the menu you better go before it's gone! I've enjoyed coming here more frequently recently because it's actually easier to get a table during covid than usual. I've only ever been here when they do their Christmas themed drinks in the winter, but I love it!! It's so cute, fun, and festive, and a great way to celebrate the holidays with your friends. The lines can get pretty long and they wrap around outdoors, which is not usually all that great in the wintertime, because it's rainy and windy and cold. But once you're inside, the entire bar is decorated like Christmas personally threw up on it. The drinks can be a bit on the pricy side, but you're also paying for ambiance and experience, so up to you if you decide it's worth it. One of my guilty pleasures is when my drinks come in fun cups, and a little Santa wearing sunglasses is the perfect embodiment!! Overall, it's a great festive way to celebrate the holidays, especially if you don't mind long lines. But hey, if the bar is crowded, that probably means it has to be popular for a reason, right? :) read more

The drinks here are eclectic and thoughtful -- a step above your average bar! Most fun drink: We ordered a round of the Jet Pilot. It arrived on fire, the flames reaching a truly impressive height. Perfect for a celebration! Best drink: The Space Crush! Such unique ingredients (shiso-leaf infused, Japanese melon), and very tasty especially for those who like a bit of a sweeter drink. We went on a weekday and were able to get a table for 10 with no problem. The staff was very attentive. Drinks ended up being on the expensive side (came out to about $40/person with 2 drinks), but not too bad for Seattle. read more

This bar was across the street from my AirB&B and it was a pleasant surprise! My partner and I decided to stop in after dinner and it did not disappoint. The bartenders were very personable and even gave us great recommendations for places to eat & hang out while in town. The ambiance is a relaxing - a tiki bar vibe with a great playlist! The drinks were delicious and complex. I'd definitely return the next time I visit. read more
This place is so fun! We came in on a Saturday evening, no res, in October so that's why the Halloween decor. All the staff was in costume too. The drinks were LEGIT! I highly recommend any of their drinks with the . It's a show..and so yummy. Their happy drink changes but it's a good deal. The bartenders and servers were so fun and pleasant. They brought me and my friend a shot for free for my birthday which was sweet. Great music, great vibe. We sat at the community table. I tend to like that because you can meet folks. 3.5 stars I came here on a Thursday night and it was pretty much empty except a couple of people at the bar. There is a long bar area with tables all around and the entire place is pretty spacious. This place is a tiki bar but it doesn't have the same tiki bar feel that I've had at other bars. I feel like it doesn't go all out in giving that tiki bar experience and could do more in terms of decor and interior. However as long as the drinks are good that's all that matters, and their drink selection is pretty large which is nice. My first drink was the maghrebi mint sour ($13) which was light and refreshing. It was sweet but not too sweet. My second drink was the navy strength cocktail ($13) which was pretty much the opposite of the mint sour. It was strong and on the bitter side if you're a fan of those. Overall this is a bar I'd come back to if I was in the area. The service was a little slow because there was only one person. The drinks were good and they have large shareable drinks so that'll be fun for a night out. read more
I already liked Navy Strength before but now I love that they are doing a pop up called Sippin Santa for December! They have decorated the bar with Christmas everywhere and have the cutest and most delicious themed cocktails. My favorite was the Sippin Santa and it came in a surfing Santa mug. All the staff are wearing festive gear as well so it just adds to the experience. I highly recommend you come in just for a festive drink. If you want to do a Christmas bar hop then you should also walk a block away to Rob Roy for their Miracle on 2nd Street pop up as well. read more
Go here only if you want to just drink cocktails and whatnot. But don't expect to have food. Anyway we ordered two cocktails, nachos, spam musubi bun and chicken bun. The buns are definitely a ripoff even at HH. The nachos are okay for the HH price and at least more than what they serve for the musubi. Because the spam musubi was only just half a slice of spam lol. The Saturn cocktail was good though. The couch we were on was sagging so there's not much comfort to have your drinks. Oh also, our bill had 20% service added to it already so definitely not satisfied at all. Everything else was meh for us at least. read more

Our server was congenial and friendly while talking to us about the spooky drinks named for scary movies (old & new). Delicious tiki drinks, and fun atmosphere in the heart of Belltown. We've been here many times and always find new favorites on the menu. Space can be at a premium on weekends, so planning ahead or coming early is a good bet. The menu is always fun to read with clever names and fun themes throughout. read more

Tiki bar vibes without being too tacky or pretentious. I wanted to check this place out because of the numerous awards Navy Strength has received for best bar and bartender in America. Generous happy hour drinks and small bites from 4-7pm. Got the daily tropical punch which was a zesty combo of jalapeno-infused whiskey, vodka, white vermouth and flavors of lemon pineapple and coconut. read more
What a cool tropical bar! The vibes, food and service was awesome. I highly recommend ordering the nachos, chicken bao, & ahí tuna pike bites. The nachos were my favorite - they are topped with beer cheese! For drinks I loved the sober Saturn which had a Passionfruit taste & the right to roam which was a blueberry and juniper drink. What wasn't to love about this place? We really wanted to go to their Christmas bar last year but I caught a winter cold. So excited to find out a week ago they do a Halloween one too! We tried a ton of different options. We shared the chicken nachos which were excellent! We also had two of their buns, the spam and chicken ones. Small but mighty they were delicious! I had the poke bowl which also tasted fresh and filling. Would recommend eating beforehand if you're starving unless you want to order as much as we did, we were satisfied after. On to the drinks! We tried a few of the Halloween drinks, all of which were yummy. "Seekers of the Serpent's Eye", "Telekentic Energy", "Happy Camper, "Amity Island", "The Candyman", and "Beach Scene" were all the ones we tried! I was extremely interested in trying the 1934 Zombie but maybe next time! My favorite was the Amity Island, but all of them were fabulous. 3 of them come with the flames so make sure to ask which ones if you want that! There was a short line to get in so come prepared to stand in the cold just in case! The staff was extremely kind and our waiter Sinaj (hopefully I spelled that right!!!) was amazing all night. They do a 20% gratuity charge but he deserves it 1000% so don't make this the reason you don't go. The ambiance and decorations they have can't be beat. We can't wait until they change into the Christmas bar to see what that one is like. We will definitely be coming back and recommending to others! Decided to come and check out this spot since Im always in the mood for the forbidden island vibe. Upon my arrival there is a sign that you have to wait to be seated. No biggie, hostess appeared and asked for my ID. Pass and made mu way to the bar in which I had to whip out my phone for the QR code. Fun tiki themed bar (super clean) with a spinning disco ball and an aesthetically pleasing menu! (Can you spot the baby Grogu?) For drinks: Space Crush, Viva Macunaíma, and Gnarly Disposition Space crush was definitely a refreshing memorable drink. Gin isn't my favorite but the taste comes together quite nicely with the melon and shiso. Viva Macunaíma was like drinking an acaí smoothie from Jamba Juice except with alc-y-hol. (Sweet, cold, what else can you ask for? Its an yummy adult juice) Gnarly Disposition was.. well. Quite gnarly ha! I forget mezcal is not for me but oh man is that a strong shot. For a snack: Ahi Tuna bite Absolutely scrumptious. Would of ordered more if I wasn't so full from dinner. Basically ahi tuna poké on a bite sized nori chip. Was VERY tempted to order more. Overall, definitely coming back for more fun strong drinks and delicious food. I wanted to try more of their food menu. Love a bar with amazing food offerings!! Friendly bartenders too! One of the best cocktail bars in Seattle. I love a good tiki drink and their ever changing menu always has something delicious (and of course, full of rum). Drinks are pricey (average $15/each) but totally worth it in my opinion. You're going to get fresh juices, unique/hard to find spirits and all around a great drink. During COVID times they have opened up some outdoor seating and inside they are keeping everyone super socially distant. Very cute place with a great atmosphere. The service is amazing and the servers are extremely nice. The drinks are really good and so is the food. The price is very reasonable and there is plenty of space as well for you and plenty of drink options. The chairs are very uncomfortable to sit in and get in and out of. I would recommend smaller and lighter chairs making it easy for guests. I also suggested making an area with a swing for the full beach experience :) read more

They are a really fun bar to go on a date. They have fun themed drinks and heated outdoor seating. The food is good, and reasonably priced. I ordered the sippin santa, which comes in an awesome glass! Its $15, but it is strong and you only need one really. The place is called Navy Strength for a reason... There isnt any skimping on the alcohol. If you are looking for a place to get a drink during the winter, Navy Strength will not disappoint with fun vibes and heated outdoor seats. read more

Really fun cocktail bar in Belltown! The drinks, atmosphere, and service was 10/10! We came in October for the "NIGHTMARE ON WALL STREET" pop up and everything was festive from the decorations, Halloween drinks, and staff in costume! So many great drink options but the bartenders made some great recommendations that didn't disappoint! The drinks had all around great flavor and also pretty strong (you've been warned)! Looking forward to coming back throughout the year for their other popups and try some more cocktails off the normal menu! read more

I've had this place on my list to visit for over a year and finally went today. I enjoy a good deal so the two of us ordered off their happy hour menu. We both decided to start with the happy hour punch which was basically a glass loaded with crushed iced and about a shot glass full of actual drink. After that I asked for something with more liquid in it and they brought me a mai tai. So three of the happy hour punches, two mai ties, an ahi tuna bite, which was literally the size of a triscut, a plate of Velveeta nachos and a spam hum bao added up to $100 with their 20% service fee. I left hungry and confused. I'd probably want to try somewhere else next time although the staff was spectacular here. The prices were just ridiculous. read more

Drinks are expensive and small. My husbands drink was ok but I didn't like mine at all. The inside is less than appealing- stained carpet, a bit dank and smelly- seems a bit of a tourist trap. read more
The drinks here look amazing and taste terrible. I wanted to love this place so much because the drinks look so beautiful but both our drinks were sub par at best. And they are not cheap. I love the decor here and the staff was nice but the drinks were so bad that after the first round we just moved on to another restaurant even though we planned on sticking around and drinking and eating and making an evening of it. The menu sounds so good but I hope they work on the taste because it's just not worth the Belltown prices for the taste read more

Is it closed on Sunday's? Yelp says no but google says it is.
As far as I know it's open 3-10 on Sundays. Their frozen cocktails are bomb. I wasn't impressed with their old fashioned and that's the whole reason I went there. On a friends recommendation
