    Crab rice
    Dave G.

Nautilus, highly hyped - but highly disappointing. Flavor combos, execution, and things like the crab rice being incredibly salty made for a very poor experience. Sat outside, service was good and quick - no complaints there. Overall I thought the flavors left itself more to the western palette and were muted. Started with the Karaage - small pieces of chicken were left in the fryer a bit long. Had a somewhat burnt taste. Buns were tastey but for $20 what an insanely small piece of pork. Crab rice - flavors were bright but the chef put too much salt and it through the entire dish off. The saving grace for the meal was the Tres Leches. So well executed with a nice meringue on top. Not recommended

The food isn't anything special but the ambiance is nice. I recommend the pork bao buns

I have a reason to go to Boston any chance I can get. This place! It's been over a month and I still think about the food. I love Asian fusion and they do it right here. Everything is so good but the highlights were the radish cakes and lobster roll. Because I still remember those dishes. But everything we ordered was delicious. We loved dining there that we ate there two nights in a row when we were there for a convention. The location is in walking distance from the convention center and love the waterfront space.

I was in Boston for work and my colleague and I decided to have dinner here. I was glad we had a reservation because it was quite busy! The service was friendly and attentive during our entire visit. We shared with the poke bowl, beef salad, oyster tacos and the chicken wings. Everything came out so quickly and was very fresh. Our favorites were the poke bowl. The portion was great to share between 2 people and it was delicious! The oyster tacos were sooo good! I was surprised to like them so much because they are so different, but the combination of ingredients worked and they were amazing. The beef salad was good, a little spicy. The chicken was ok, they had an aftertaste that I didn't care for, could have been the oil that they were fried in. If I came back I would definitely get the poke again and the oyster tacos!

Had an okay experience here. We got stuck in traffic and were about 5 minutes late to our reservation, but because of that (despite a 15 minute grace period) we were told that we lost our table and would be put at one in the back. We were literally sat in a table squeezed by the bar in the very back, where there was constant squeezing and shuffling, basically the antithesis of personal space. Servers were pretty nice and once we ordered food came out very quick. Overall the food was pretty good, but wasn't worth the price point since the ambiance didn't make it for us.

Ambiance was great-super pretty turquoise blue branding and a nice view of the water outside. Service was good overall! Our waiter was friendly and was knowledgeable on a lot of the menu items, which equipped him well for recommendations. The waiters didn't come by often to refill water or ask if we needed anything, which was the only downside. Wine, 8/10: Was clean and crisp, helped balance out the overly salty food! Food: -Dan Dan Noodles, 8.3/10: The noodles were more of a lighter consistency than the dan dan noodles I'm used to, which was a plus. Was a balanced, clean spicy flavor with the right amount of pork. -Peking Duck, 8.5/10: The duck was well-seasoned and came with two parts of the duck (one more meaty/fatty, one lean/slightly crispy) served with sushi rice underneath the leaner part. The sauces (sriracha, mayo, hoisin) could have been more complex and presented better (they came in plain squeezable bottles) considering the price of the dish (~$135). The dish was good but super salty and too heavy relative to traditional peking duck dishes. -Raclette-Stuffed Peppers, 7/10: The dish had just the right amount of spice. Would have been nice if the dish was a bit more complex, felt like it was missing that wow factor. -Japanese Chicken, 9/10: It seems like your typical karaage dish, but the chicken had some of the best texture I've ever had in a karaage dish-super juicy and soft. The sauce was you typical karaage sauce. -Oyster Tacos, 7/10: Wasn't bad, wasn't great. Got this dish bc of other good reviews, but wasn't wowed by it. Overall, great for ambiance, but the food wasn't anything special. Feels like the food didn't stay true to their Asian roots for the most part, simultaneously tasted not Asian or American enough.

Business dinner , met with a quick, polite and attentive waiter. Nautical themed restaurant in the seaport on Boston harbor. Sharing foods family style. Ordered the Old barrel cocktail, very nice. Food recommendations Good: octopus, bao buns Very good: green beans seasoned with a nice snap , shishito peppers salty but good , short ribs - tender , tasty but had the pick out the bones Great : chicken -juicy, flavorful and crunchy , blue crab rice - flavorful , daikon radish cakes - unique texture - delicious taste crispy skin and fluffy body Seafood and Asian fusion, vwery good. Expensive but I would go back for a special occasion

I was expecting more, but overall it was a good meal. The set up of the restaurant is a little odd and service was slow. We were seated in a back room where there was a separate bar, and the party next to us kept having to squeeze between our table and the wall to get by. A bit stiff for vibes and probably not a great spot to just get drinks. The food was very yummy, but overpriced for what it is and very small portions. I'm glad we went to give it a try, but I don't think we're in any rush to go back.

The family style duck, which made the dinner experience amazing!

The food was amazing. It was an experience, not just dinner. Our service was great and he explained the process well. The duck was absolutely amazing and made for an extremely memorable going away dinner for my son who is leaving for Boot Camp the ambience was perfect the deep sea theme for my son was leaving for the Navy was perfect and the unique selection was refreshing

The food here is pretty good. I would say a lot of it seems to be inspired by asian dishes. (I'm not sure who the chefs & owners are) The scallops, the corn, and the octopus were really good here. The bathroom here is also pretty nice & there's an underwater theme throughout.

I loved my dinner here! The crab fried rice was excellent!! Definitely star of the show. The patio had a view of the water and was so cute. I also tried the asparagus kale salad and the pride cocktail. Both were pretty good! Overall it was an elevated dining experience.

I was really impressed by the food and service at Nautalis. There wasn't one thing we ordered that I didn't like. The lobster roll was fantastic and had an Asian fusion vibe to it. Different than your typical one. I also loved the cucumbers with kimchi, I would definitely recommend ordering those. Super crunchy and refreshing. Some dishes were smaller than others like the poke but the others were a pretty good portion. It is pricy but the food is great. Restaurant has a good vibe but it is dark. I would definitely recommend coming here for drinks or dinner.

We had an amazing experience! The service was quick, on top of things, and made excellent recommendations. We were absolutely thrilled. My group is in town for a work conference and decided to grab food here. Loved that it's tapas style because we were able to try a few things each and some of them were things I wouldn't have ordered myself as I'm not the biggest seafood fan. I can honestly say I enjoyed everything I tried. It can get a little noisy inside, but overall we were comfortable. We all had various drinks we enjoyed beforehand, and I can't even name all the dishes, but I took photos when I could remember. We didn't get dessert, and didn't ask what the options were because we were so full. Would absolutely go back. Kudos to the team that served us!

Do they serve cappuccinos or tea at this restaurant?

They serve multiple teas, espresso, americanos, lattes, and cold brew.

Do you have heated outdoor seating and are you open Dec 24 or Dec 25? I also have some mobility issues so wondering if there are stairs I have to traverse?

Mobility issues are not a problem, but no heaters on the patio, and closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. But the website for up to date hours.

I had been craving fish tacos for a really long time, and I was delighted to find a whole section of the menu dedicated to them. We started off with margaritas - one of the best companions to fish tacos - and I ordered mine spicy with jalapeño. For food, we shared the lobster empanadas and chorizo and potato taquitos. I ordered the tempura fish tacos for myself. Our margaritas were brought out shortly - mine was refreshing but lacked the kick from the jalapeño that I was hoping for (there was only one thin slice of pepper). Our food was brought out shortly, and I found it a bit overwhelming when our appetizers and tacos came out together. I started with my tacos, and these were excellent. The fish was flaky and fried to perfection, and I loved the rainbow of sauces and toppings. Plus, the tortillas were nice and sturdy and didn't tear. The lobster empanadas were super decadent, and I appreciated the substantial amount of lobster stuffed inside. I was too full to eat much of the taquitos but took a few bites. These also had good flavor but weren't standouts. Next time, I'd just get the tacos and maybe a light app. Towards the end of our visit, the restaurant seemed to clear out, and we had a difficult time trying to locate our server for the bill. Overall, we had a nice meal and satisfied the fish taco craving.

The Seaport space is just as stunning--decked out in pink, super aesthetic, and definitely a fun, photo-worthy vibe. Unfortunately, the experience didn't quite live up to expectations. For drinks, I ordered a pitcher margarita with jalapeño, and it was disappointing. It didn't taste fresh and came across more like artificial jalapeño flavoring rather than real infusion--and it wasn't spicy at all. For food, we ordered a variety of small plates to share. Everything was decent, but nothing really stood out. It felt a bit underwhelming compared to the atmosphere. The biggest issue was the service. It was very slow throughout the night, and getting the check was especially frustrating--it took about 30 minutes, and we had to ask multiple times before finally receiving it. Overall, the ambiance is beautiful and perfect for a celebration, but the drinks and service didn't match the vibe. Hoping this was just an off night.

Both dishes came with the same noodles and were good, hearty portions, though nothing mind-blowing. Definitely on the very expensive side for what they are. Fair warning: the beef bulgogi is very spicy. For dessert, we shared the Basque cheesecake. The real standout, though, was the pistachio gelato with lemon curd that came with it. For two straight years, my top-tier chum who…read moreliterally went to the school of hospitality and I mistakenly thought we could just wing it in the North End prior to Celtics games on the weekends and find a decent place to eat without a reservation. We were burned two times (not egregiously, but where we had to go to mediocre establishments that had seating availability for a reason), but no more. Parla isn't an off-the-charts Italian restaurant, but it was above average and the cocktail situation is excellent. I stumbled across Parla last year when we were looking for dining options, but alas, not in time to secure a reservation. The cocktail menu looked intriguing (particularly their ye olde shrub cocktail mix and match section) and the location seemed convenient. This time around we made dinner reservations about two months in advance, which I'd pretty much recommend for anything in this neighborhood if you have the ability. We came by this past Sunday before the Celtics/Timberwolves (there were multiple patrons wearing jerseys, including us) around 5pm in the rain. The entrance is a little nondescript but ultimately easy enough to spot. It's a pretty intimate interior with limited seating (maybe 10 tables or so?) and only four bar stools at the bar in the back. We were seated by the front window which was nice but again, offered at that time merely an excellent view of early spring weather. The food we had was good, and yet not the selling point - sort of a compliment, sort of not. We split the seared octopus app, which was interesting but ultimately not my favorite way to eat that particular seafood; I'm used to it grilled. We were both a little surprised to see it in salad form and had to refer back to the menu, which did mention one of the other ingredients as arugula (a fair clue). I would recommend they put the word "salad" in the official name of the app though; my guess is we probably opt for something else if we had that additional information. That said, it was fine - I wasn't crazy about the pairing of octopus and balsamic vinegar/arugula, which to me and my chum dominated the palate over the octopus, which should totally be the star of the dish. For my entree, I went with the chicken parm, which was very good - decent portion for sure and I almost finished it despite eating two other meals fairly recently. Interestingly, the best part is the sauce - it's a sweeter sauce that's thick but not chunky. Really good, and something I'd get again in a pinch. The cocktails are really something. For me, I stumbled a little out of the gate with the shrub section, opting for a mule with strawberry peppercorn. It wasn't bad but for my palate, it felt off - that's a drink I should be getting in July, not a nippy/rainy March evening. On me completely. My chum got the margarita equivalent and liked it enough to order it two more times. But I shifted to a very cool gimmick they had, which I believe was called Dungeon Master (an homage to D&D?), where you rolled a 20-sided die and had to pick whatever cocktail was associated with the specific number, no questions asked. My chum gets a little naughty with gin so couldn't risk it and had to just watch mournfully on the other side of the table as I played twice. Both of my mystery cocktails had gin in it, so...probably the right decision, at least from my perspective. I don't want to provide spoilers and damage the integrity of the game, but the nuanced layers to each drink are exactly why I love mixology/a good cocktail - the only kind of science I truly get behind. (I also liked learning about clouds in 5th grade). Very cool feature and something I'd love to make an annual tradition. Our waitress was great. She initially seemed a little eccentric/ditzy (in a good way), but it was clear that that was a mirage - she was VERY observant and at the end of the meal knew my first name for my specific credit card because earlier she'd noticed my head tilt when someone at another table used it. Really impressive stuff and a huge asset for the restaurant. She also was super knowledgeable about the menu and the cocktails specifically, and it was fun to guess what was in each of my mystery beverages with her after I took a few experimental nips. Very cool, very unique establishment. Glad to finally find a selling point for the North End.

You would think since it's bar food that it wouldn't be any good, but the five times I've eaten here? I've never had a poor experience. This last time was no different. I ordered their pepperoni pizza with hot honey sauce, and let me tell you. I am loving the hot honey trend. Please cover me with hot honey LOL. I also got an awesome drink called the bumble; no idea what was in it, but I took it out to my room and I promise you it is a sleeping aid. Absolutely delicious. Doesn't taste like it has alcohol in it, and will sneak up on you and then you're done for the night! I had a great experience sitting at the table top and listening to live music and when I stay at another Aloft, I'll make sure that I check out the bar!

We went the first night for food and drinks since we were tired after day of travel and didn't feel like going too far. Adult bevs were excellent..but the food ...not great. We had a mix of "small plates"; the best thing turned out to be the oversized tater tots. The pretzels were almost inedible - beyond chewy...perhaps microwaved? Popcorn seems stale and the salad was average. The second night we just had bevs....and they weren't as good as the first night. Different bartender. One of the nights there was live music-an open mic night that was a very interesting experience.
