I tend to stop in to check out their unique trove of baubles and clothing any time I cross the path of one of these boutiques. So during a stroll through my new neighborhood, I popped into the Cameron Village location, and at first all seemed peachy. I was greeted cheerfully by a voice behind the counter and I called back a hello and started wading through colorful scarves and dresses. And then my shopping experience took a nose dive. I was just browsing and didn't need much in the way of assistance. Still - I could have done without the two young sales associates complaining *loudly* about a guest who'd just left. The young man (crap - I'm getting old) referred to the woman a b*tch trying to cause him trouble and gave an elegant soliloquy to the entire store highlighting his desire to slap her should she return. Nice dude. Real classy. Then, a young girl came out of the dressing room in a dress and wondered out loud if they might have any belts to go with it. The two associates (now sitting on the counter together, thumbs ablazing on their cell phones) pointed vaguely to the back. No one hopped up to show her exactly where they were? Maybe pick out a couple that might look fantastic with her dress?? Sonuva... this girl and her mother were out to drop some benjamins on a new wardrobe. The girl wanted the belt off a mannequin, but was being completely ignored (I got the distinct feeling they didn't want to go through the trouble of removing it for her). At any rate, I'm (not so) secretly hoping the owner gets her eyes on this review and keeps a closer watch on what's going on in her boutique. This was an unbelievable case of tacky customer service, and I'd hate to let something like that turn guests off to this cool little boutique.

I asked what happened. He told me an unleashed aggressive dog was standing directly inside the entrance and loudly snarled and growled at him as he tried to enter the store. The female owner of the dog&store told him the dog was a "rescue" and that it didn't take a liking to men. I have documented allergies to dogs and also fear them for their unpredictable nature as what happened when he casually walked into the store. It's a shame because he probably would have bought me something warm to wear if the dog had not been there growling at him. Also, I only buy second hand from smoke&pet free homes/stores. *Message to management: I've never owned a clothing store, but I've worked at one. It's very important for customers to feel safe and welcomed when trying on clothes and window shopping. In what world is it considered civilized to have an unleashed, untrained and aggressive dog positioned at the head of the store? You are actively discriminating against men shopping at your store by bringing this dog to work. Men like to surprise their girlfriend or wife or mother with something nice to wear from time to time. If you don't have liability insurance for potential dog bites when a man enters your store it might be time to get some. Or, better yet, just install a modern security system and leave your aggressive dog at home or bring it to a shelter. You will be doing the city of Raleigh and it's citizens a favor.

But there are some good brands available such as Tommy Hilfiger, Greg Norman, Lucky, and Jack Nicklaus. And the prices are incredibly good. Some of the items can be better organized, especially in home decor. I know customers can move stuff around, but they should make an effort to keep things organized so people can actually find what they are looking for.

Urban Outfitters as a brand has been one of my go-to for years but only when they have big sales with tons of options. Lately, their home decor and gift sections have been the best bang for your bucks. The decor and vibe in this store is super trendy. The staff let you do your thing, which I appreciate. The fitting rooms were pretty dusty dirty, on my visits, but very spacious. This location is in a real hip, walkable area of downtown Raleigh. There seems to be a generous amount of street parking but I did not see any private lots. Overall, a good Urban location and I'd come back to shop the sales!

Yeah she did , cause when I walked in she was vacuuming and and cleaning up. Very uncomfortable situation, cause I had been looking for jeans and I still had time to try on, but both sales associates did nothing to try at least to help me out. Vaccum cord was all in the way.. and then one of the ladies saw that I had an item in my hand and shouted at the other lady to turn off the music. Very, very uncomfortable... but I bet they where happy I walked out. As I sat in my car waiting for my son, both ladies walked out and closed the store at 7:50pm. They are located upstairs next to the men's Dillards. I love Lululemon & highly recommend this location!
