She cleaned, made a few tweaks, did a test patch and it was perfect again. turns out I had the embroidery bobbin inserted from the previous owner.. I ended up getting the correct one and I'm so glad I did because once I got home, I couldn't find the regular bobbin. New to sewing, so still learning my sewing machine! She's so knowledgeable and patient. She examined my machine and really took the time to diagnose what could be going wrong with it. It turns out there was an obscene accumulation of lint in a spot behind the feed dog which I had overlooked. She taught me how to properly clean, test and maintain the machine. She also told me about which needles to best use depending on the material I'm sewing as well as helpful suggestions like the use of a walking foot for slippery fabrics. Helle is an experienced sewist who has extensive knowledge and represents Moore's with such polish. We lost Joann's fabrics not too long ago so it's crucial that our community has a business which supports the sewing community in the way Moore's does. Do sign up for sewing classes or bring your machine in for maintenance at Moore's. They are a valuable resource for adults and children. I and my son learned to sew because of them and it has freed us in ways I cannot enumerate. Be sure to ask for Helle if you have any specific sewing questions. I'm certain all the staff is marvelous but she is really awesome!

I have ordered from Chris a couple of times and never had a problem until this last order. Some of…read morethe shirts I wanted were not available so he suggested other models and assured me they would be the same material but when I received my order the material was completely different to the point that they didn't fit even though they are the same size as the ones we currently wear now. When I called him to tell him about the situation the only "solution" he offered was to place another order and that he can maybe give me a discount on the embroidery. I understand that he doesn't want to take a loss but why do I the customer have to lose when he recommended those shirt styles. How was I suppose to know that this material would be completely different? I trusted his expertise and it failed and now I'm stuck with shirts that I can't use and $300 to the trash. My only advice for others is ask for samples of the materials before placing an order so you can see for yourself what you will receive because once you pay there's nothing you can do if the material doesn't work for you.
