The experience at this location was very mediocre. The server we had meant well but was so busy trying to fraternize with her friends visiting the restaurant that she was quick and short with us. I asked for a side of sauce to go and they wanted to charge me for asking for it as a to go item but I already spent almost $80. Wings aren't that good and service only seems to be good if you're a regular. You can get all the love, zero stars .

I should've just went w my gut when I seen the reviews , but of course I gave it a chance. We came in here for dinner hoping to have a good meal because we haven't ate all day. Customer Service is awful ! Nobody greeted us just walked right past. Nobody was very welcoming at all. Then to top it off I got the sample platter and I find this !! DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY

2/6/25: Short version - been there. Done that. Won't go again. Food was all right, the service was poor, & we could barely taste the vodka in our cocktails. Long version - had a bad day at work & wanted a drink. Native Grill was close so we gave it a try. We walked in the door & stood around for about 3 min before someone made an appearance at the concierge desk. There was no sign anywhere to indicate if we were supposed to seat ourselves or wait for someone to help seat us. We sat down w/ the menus, ended up waiting for about another five minutes before the concierge gal came back to ask if our server ever showed up. That would be a no. When she did pop by our table, it was w/ a very "meh" attitude. I guess she was having a bad day, too. :-) We ordered everything at once: cocktails, water, appetizers, and meals. The drinks came first. After the first couple of sips of our cocktails, we both questioned whether they actually added the vodka -- and they tasted so similar we think we were given the same cocktail despite us ordering two separate drinks. We both ordered burgers & neither of us were asked how we wanted them cooked. Everything came out together. Uh, hello, do you not understand the meaning of appetizer? There was no sauce with the zucchini fries & when asked if there was supposed to be she said yes (then why didn't you bring it?) & only then asked us if we wanted ranch or blue cheese. We said blue cheese but what she was brought we both agreed was ranch (unless blue cheese suddenly because a non-chunky dressing). Ha! We also had to ask for silverware. Once the food was delivered to our table, our server went M.I.A. (to our table at least). She came out numerous times to assist other tables but never once came over to inquire how the food was or to check in or ask if we needed / wanted anything else. When she finally did return, there was no "did you save room for dessert?", so we immediately asked for the check & take-home container because if we did not ask for both at the same time, we likely would have been waiting even longer for a return visit. All in all, a subpar experience & there will be no return visit to Native Grill.

Service was lacking. We stood at the front entrance for 10 minutes to wait to be seated and were ignored. Once we ordered the food came quickly and the waitress was really nice. The wings were just okay. They were small and slightly overcooked. Lots of TVs so would be good to watch games but the food was underwhelming so not sure if we'll be back.

Back for a second lunch. This time had two BBQ Pork sliders and salad. Friend ordered small pizza and small Chicken Caesar. Server was great, only problem was she did not have enough back end help to get the orders out. Paid the bill before food arrived with two meals to go. Hit or miss on the quick lunches here. Have to wave goodbye to Native Grill & Wings.

Tiny wings. Most overcooked.

Wow. New to the area and went here for some wings to go. No one was there to greet after waiting 5 minutes. I had to go to the bar area and they sent me back to the front. Another 5 minutes and bar lady came to front and took my order. 20 wings to go. Bar area was nice, friendly. The wings were small and just not done well at all. The salt and pepper dry rub wings were not great. The honey hot was not hot and also tiny wings. I didn't eat the tiny tiny ones. It was wild. Check pics. As far as wings go, I'll hit up WingStop across the street next time. As far as the bar area, I wouldn't mind going for a few drinks. Seems like a good spot on that side.

The place had quite a few barstool seats and a handful of tables. The music had a punk rock feel and was loud but not blasting; which is good. The pizza smelled so good in the car that I had to try a slice while piping hot. As far as NY style pizza goes, I haven't had better in Arizona. I've been to a number of spots, and only one other was really worth taking the time time review. This pizza blew them away. The crust was thin and crispy at the edges and foldable with a nice chew in the middle. Cheese tasty, sauce had a nice zesty flavor. Pepperoni cupped and a little oily...perfect. And the sausage had a nice spice and that classic fennel flavor. 9.5 out of 10. Looking forward to my next visit already.

Both of my slices were delicious, flavorful, and pretty big. Everyone was friendly here and the the pizza was good. Parking is paid but the worker said it is typically not enforced till the night time. We ate in about 30mins

We've become very selective of our pizza spots and pride ourselves in finding the best pizza in the various areas we are in. After poring over reviews on Yelp and other platforms, we found Federal Pizza. We were quickly seated and greeted by the best server ever--Frank. Our meal was literally perfect from drink to salad to pizza to dessert. The restaurant was cozy and comfortable, making it perfect for my sister and I to recap our amazing, artsy evening and chit chat. When El Prez is befuddled by a liquor store that sells solid pizza, you gotta check the pizza out!…read moreIt's cool to see the Trevor's brand be successful in the Valley since I started going to the original on McDowell. Earlier this year I stopped by for happy hour at Indian School with a friend that ended with me taking a pizza home. Then more recently I came for a "Sunday supper" with friends that also ended with me taking some pizza home. I absolutely love the bar decor and how they've separated the store from the bar. They have a host but you can walk-in to belly up, or make reservations if the # of attendees is around 10. All the staff are super friendly on both sides of the bar (retail and restaurant)! They (like any self-respecting craft beer bar) use Untappd to keep their draft list publicized. And both times I've gone it has been a vey solid list, complemented by some tasty cocktails. But the star of the show is the plain 8.3 cheese pizza with solid undercarriage (I don't like wobbly / flimsy pizza either) that has the right amount of char. As much as I love a supreme pizza, there's almost too much topping and not enough support for it. Still delicious though. If you're with people, definitely grab a bruschetta board to share beforehand.

Well my husband is allergic to nuts and wanted the charcuterie to share. Server said we can't do it because the chefs don't wash their cutting tools between meats and there is mortadella. I don't understand this why aren't you washing your utensils??? Or why can't you? Is it so hard? Mortadella is disgusting anyway it's bologna. Better with Proscuitto. SAVE THE BEST FOR LAST! I won't add to my previous review regarding the food, as it is still just as fantastic. And while the old location had its charm (mainly that it was more intimate and a bit quieter), the new location is overall an immense improvement. First of all, it is much larger, modern, and very tastefully decorated without losing as much of the intimacy as they could keep. For instance, the decor on the walls makes you feel like you are somewhat at home, with photos of the Spinato family and other tasteful finishes. Everything is comfortable without being too casual or formal. It's definitely more open concept now, and bar-lovers will appreciate the full bar, as the old location only had a tiny one. The covered patio area is much nicer, and with an eastern exposure, it should bake in the sun less than the old place's western exposure for most of their operating hours. We were seated at a half-booth, and the restaurant was very crowded because it was their first Friday night at this location. Nonetheless, we arrived early enough to be seated without a wait. I will say that the food took a very long time to arrive--40 minutes or more--but I'm chalking that up to the crowd and growing pains at the new location. Our server recognized us, welcomed us to the new place, and was as friendly as usual, though he didn't have much time for chat-chat with how busy they were. Very much looking forward to more visits to Spinato's at this fabulous new location!

Lil Capo Pizzeria 5.0/5 The Closest Thing to New York…read morePizza I've Found in Arizona Growing up in Upstate New York, I admittedly have high standards when it comes to pizza. After moving to Arizona in 2007, I've spent years searching for a slice that genuinely reminds me of home. While there are plenty of decent pizza spots throughout the Valley, very few capture that authentic New York style. Lil Capo Pizzeria absolutely does! Ironically, I first discovered Lil Capo after an Arizona Cardinals game. Like many people, I wasn't interested in paying stadium prices for mediocre food, so I jumped on Yelp looking for something nearby. Lil Capo had outstanding reviews, so we decided to give it a try. I'm glad we did because it's now my benchmark for New York-style pizza in Arizona. The first thing that stood out was the crust. This is exactly what a New York slice should be--thin, crispy on the bottom, slightly chewy inside, sturdy enough to fold, and never overloaded with grease. So many places think "New York style" simply means making a large slice. Lil Capo understands it's really about the balance of crust, sauce, cheese, and texture. Every bite reminded me why I miss pizza back east. The sauce has just the right amount of sweetness and acidity, the cheese is perfectly proportioned, and everything tastes fresh without trying to reinvent what already works. Sometimes simplicity executed well is the hardest thing to accomplish. Pizza: 5/5 Service was equally impressive. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and efficient. After selecting our slices, they quickly reheated them to perfection and had them on our table within minutes. It's exactly what you want from a neighborhood pizzeria--fast, relaxed, and genuinely hospitable. Service: 5/5 I also appreciated the atmosphere. Lil Capo isn't trying to be flashy or trendy. Instead, it has that classic neighborhood pizzeria feel where the focus stays exactly where it should--on making outstanding pizza. It's casual, comfortable, family-friendly, and somewhere you could easily become a regular. The pricing is another pleasant surprise. Considering the quality of the pizza and the generous slice sizes, I found everything to be very fairly priced. Overall Finding authentic New York-style pizza in Arizona has been surprisingly difficult over the years, but Lil Capo delivers exactly what I've been searching for. Authentic New York-style crust Excellent sauce-to-cheese ratio Minimal grease Friendly, efficient service Fair prices Comfortable neighborhood atmosphere I've eaten pizza throughout New York my entire life, and Lil Capo remains the closest I've found to the real thing anywhere in Arizona. Whenever I'm on the west side of the Valley--or heading to or from a Cardinals game--I find myself looking for an excuse to stop in. Next time, I'm skipping the slices and ordering an entire pie. If you're a fellow New Yorker living in Arizona and craving a slice that tastes like home, Lil Capo should be at the top of your list.
