This place is amazing! Excellent food and very friendly staff. Also, it's in a good location with parking, close to Cherry Creek Mall. I love that they have a vegan option for the Jibarito, which is a popular sandwich from my country. Their version is made with half green/ half yellow plantain, normally should be made with very green plantain. But it was really good! My daughter loved the "chicken wings" and chocolate cupcake. Also, the dip for the plantain chips was very good. To drink, we tried the lavender lemonade and watermelon water. They were soooo good. I'm SO sad there isn't a location within hundreds of miles of where we live!! Visiting Denver, we found this amazing place. We had a "meatball" sub and a BBQ "brisket" sandwich. The meat alternatives were flavorful and the texture fantastic. The tomato sauce rich and tasty. The BBQ sauce tangy, a little sweet and definitely worth getting an extra sauce on the side. My son says, "It's the best sandwich I have ever had!" and asked to come back for dinner and lunch tomorrow (true story!). The rolls are artisan quality (French for the sub, pretzel roll for the sandwich). Accoutrements we're spot on and gastropub quality (homemade coleslaw, thin fresh pickles, homemade chips). Meh. I've eaten from this place twice, once in house & tonight as delivery. I actually found this place to be about as mediocre as you can possibly get from a vegan place, if not less. I REALLY don't understand the hype. When I ate in-house, the orange cauliflower stuff I had tasted like the first time I made it for myself several years ago (which wasn't great. At all). It was like semi-fried frozen cauliflower in a orange flavored cornstarch batter. It was actually terrible. The burger I got via delivery was even worse. It was two dense, chewy, soy-tasting 1/8"-ish patties (think Bocca Burger in the microwave) on a soggy bun with WAAAAAY too much sauce. I took one bite of my second half & threw it out. (Please note that I live less than 10 minutes away from Native Foods and my delivery person was close to 10 minutes earlier than Yelp estimated.) If I lived closer to Native Foods, I'd be two things: 1. Broke 2. The unhealthiest vegan in all of Denver I love Native Foods for their food and sustainability. The only not-so-loveable things have been the somewhat salty dishes (happens randomly) and the inconsistent service. There have been days when the cashiers have been downright moody and days when they've been super cool. Either way, I like this place a lot. Here's a scope on things around here: Apps: go with the native wings with sweet thai chili sauce, the cauliflower's good but can be salty. Entrees: get a reuben or chicken run ranch if you're feeling sandwich-y, coconut curry bowl or orange cauliflower for something more wholesome. Drinks: interesting teas and lemonades worth trying here! We were starving and Native Foods had the highest rating on Yelp for our area. So we looked up the menu, picked out our meals, and walked over from our hotel to place our order. Hubby ended up getting the BBQ Chicken Salad and I ended up getting the Chicken, Bacon, Avo Club with a side salad. Honestly (and embarrassingly) when we ordered we didn't realize that the restaurant was all plant based BUT it didn't matter to us and the food was fantastic, fresh, and flavorful. Native is a long standing vegan favorite if you are looking for something quick. This is not a fast food vegan restaurant, but you do order at the counter. The food is high quality and there are many delicious entrees, sides, and desserts. The peanut butter parfait is the ultimate delight and can't be skipped. The poppin jalapeño burger is worth the price, and can be split because it's a freaking monster for one person to eat at once. I've tried all of the "chicken" sandwiches, including the seasonal specials and they are all superb. The soup rotates and is a go-to winter side, but we also LOVE the potato salad. I must mention the husslin' brusslin' are the best Brussels you will ever try. Don't skip the Brussel sprouts! Trust me. I can't describe in words the savory deliciousness this dish beholds in a way that does it justice. I came in for my first time ever on 11/22/20 at 7 PM. I was extremely excited to try their food when my boyfriend told me it's a vegetarian place! It's really hard to find a full vegetarian menu with a bunch of different options and that's what Native Foods offers. In all we ordered two full sizes of wings (one buffalo the other thai chilie), side of sweet potatoes fries, and the jalapeño burger with seasoned fries and I paid $40 for the whole order. My burger was a complete mess to the point I couldnt even eat it. It was also stone COLD. None of the cheese had been warmed up at all and the two patties were barely warm to the touch and inside was cold. The green goddess dressing looked like it was poured into the burger wrapper and the burger laid on top of it?? The seasoned fries were not seasoned and also pretty cool. The wings were.... okay. They were also pretty cold and because it seems like they were trying to rush the order, they didn't taste fully cooked and they were a bit dry. The pieces that did have a good amount of sauce were good and I liked it, but just such a huge disappointment. The only good thing that really came from them were the sweet potato fries and I hate sweet potatoes so I guess that says something. The team wasn't busy when we got there because they were very in the open and just talking to each other. They were very nice people, but my experience had been completely ruined by the lack of anything put into the food. The menu has great options like burritos, burgers, chicken and waffles, sandwiches, tacos, chicken fingers, and more. All vegan. Last time I came here, I had the Reuben sandwich with chicken fingers. SO GOOD. They have tasty drinks like lemonade and watermelon fresca with free refills. I found these to be a bit too sweet for my taste so I watered them down a bit. Friendly service. Large space with lots of seating. I actually brought my laptop and did a bunch of work (didn't see any outlets though). My one minor complaint would be the lack of Wi-Fi. Typical fast causal concept where you get in a line and order. We got a chicken sandwich and wrap one with fries and one with a salad. IMO if you're looking to be healthy get the salad the dressing is tart and tangy and up my avenue. The fries were soggy and we could've done without them. Chicken wrap I don't know what it tastes like fried but the grilled was plenty delicious and the buffalo and ranch sauce were great. The wrap was filled with more than enough veggies that I was very satisfied. The Chicken sandwich was delicious but I wish there were more vegetable toppings. More than once I have ordered from this place and they have given me a portion not fit for a toddler if you're gonna charge $15 for a sandwich it sure should be worth the money, I will need to order from somewhere else l. Either way, Native Foods is for you. We delivered Native Foods through Door Dash and had high hopes based on the online reviews. We got the grilled buffalo chicken wings and poppin jalapeno burger with fries. Native Foods does NOT skimp out on the "meat" in their burgers, stacking two well sized plant-based burgers with an awesome mix of spice and their goddess dressing with soft pretzel buns. For delivery, I might avoid getting fries next time as they weren't the crispiest post-delivery, but I feel like they'd be much better fresh either for pickup or in-restaurant. The buffalo chicken wings were incredible- serving up the perfect flavor combination and the right amount of spice that could be paired nicely with a salad given how saucy they were. The true test of Native Foods is its appeal to meat-loving consumers and I can safely say that it does not disappoint even the most avid meat lover. I personally love plant-based food over meat, but either way, you'll be getting incredible flavors that will satisfy your food dreams. Decent prices for a restaurant too and decent portions. Wow I am so excited about this place. I just moved nearby and holy cow, it's amazing. The plant-based menu is amazing and there's so much variety! I can't wait to work my way through the menu slowly but surely haha. This time I had the chicken sandwich and my boyfriend got the chicken shawarma bowl, as well as the GF Carrot Cupcake and the Peanut butter desert. Both were so yummy and it's so nice to have GF options for my boyfriend, who's allergic. We have a hard time finding both plant-based and Gluten free so we're so excited to find this place! Tamales waffles al pastor is truly delicious! When I saw the al pastor waffle on the menu I figured it could either be really good or really bad. Oh my goodness, it was amazing! The gluten free waffle was dense and tasted just like tamale dough, topped with plenty sweet and spicy jackfruit, pineapple, avocado, and cilantro. I just love pineapple and jackfruit, so it was a winning combination. We also ordered the Buddha bowl to share which was a flavorful mix of teriyaki sweet potatoes, pineapple, avocado, shitaki mushroom chips, corn, and sprouts. Yummy! I've been here twice now. Both times I found the staff to be super friendly and knowledgeable about the food. The food was also very prompt. During my first visit, I had the Korean BBQ sub. It was very rich in flavor, chock full of stuff, and the seitan had good texture. It was a bit on the salty side for me, and I craved a bit more sweetness. The ciabatta, though clearly fresh, was a bit too chewy for my taste. I was definitely nursing a sore jaw after that! The steamed kale was tasty and the perfect palate cleanser. During my second trip, I had the Avocado Crunch Wrap and the Portobello and Sausage Burger to-go. The avocado wrap was exactly what I wanted. The avocado was warm and crunchy instantly quenching my aching desire for avocado fries. The slaw in the wrap was super fresh and helped to cut the richness. I got the dressings on the side, and both went well though I wasn't sure which was a which. I snuck a few bites of the burger which I planned to save for lunch. The flavors were all spot on. I loved the garlicky mushrooms with the seitan sausage. I do wish that there were more lettuce or something to go on it, as it would have helped add some crunch and keep the bun from getting as soggy. I've only had dessert from here before so I was excited to try some savory selections for lunch. I went with the buffalo chicken sandwich with a tea and potato salad. The potato salad had an up charge of $2 which I noticed after I ordered. A little ridiculous because potatoes are not expensive. Plus I had to season it before I could eat it. Always wonderful service when I come in. I do love the atmosphere of the place and the desserts here are seriously to die for. I've been vegan since 2016 and this was the first ever completely plant based restaurant I visited. I remember being blown away and in awe of the options they had. Granted this was 2016... vegan options were much more limited back then and vegan items have upgraded so much in just a few years. Truthfully I don't visit often anymore, though I live about 20 mins away and my boyfriend lives about 5 from the restaurant. Unfortunately the food is "mid" at best. Tried the poppin jalepeno burger today and literally couldn't finish the second half; it tasted and had the texture of something a non-veggie place would make with a dry crumbly pretzel bun, a veggie patty that looked like a wet hockey puck, way too much lettuce, store brought cheese/cream cheese. The tomato bisque was better, but tasted and had texture as if someone literally just blended tomatoes and heated them. I've brought my (non)boyfriend a couple times and have been slightly embarrassed as I know vegan food can be way better than what he's experienced here. We've been to other nonvegan places and he's loved trying my food, but here we have both been disappointed. The rewards program is great!
