I've come to this comforting coffee shop a couple of times. It is brightened by an abundance of natural light which adds to the relaxing atmosphere. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks and the food items. They serve a lot of vegan options here. I will often try vegan items because they can be surprisingly good. The sausage & cheese kolache was a good choice.

Such a cute and quaint coffee shop! We came by here on a Friday morning because we were staying in the area. I got the Cuban Coffee which was delicious. The espresso tasted great and h love the touch of cinnamon. My friends all god different beverages and loved them as well and someone tried the honey butter bread and said it was delightful. Overall this is a super nice neighborhood coffee shop.

Came here for Sunday, coffee and beats! Such a vibe, their coffee was the perfect addition to a beatful Sunday funday coffee experience. Order at the counter. Parking is in the back. Or street parking. Cute little patio.

This is such a charming coffee shop with delicious food! I attended a Coffee Party here with live music, featuring two different DJs, and it was an absolute blast! If you love daytime events, this is the perfect vibe. I tried one of their sandwiches, and wow--I'm already craving it again! The staff is super friendly and helpful when it comes to choosing menu items. It's also pet-friendly with a lovely patio, perfect for enjoying the spring weather. The only downside was limited parking, but it's totally worth it. I'll definitely be back soon!

Food: I had the lavender iced latte and it was very refreshing along with a bacon egg, and cheese croissant! I recommend both! Next time I go I will try the empanadas! Service: very friendly and they maintained the establishment very clean Ambiance: they had an event going on when I went so it was pretty loud but I could still study with headphones. The WiFi is free and they do not require you to keep buying stuff for the password. They also have plenty of parking in the back of the building! Overall great, beautiful place!

I love dog friendly businesses! Native Coffee has a large spacious patio where you can hang out with your furry friend and get some work done. There are lots of plants inside and outside which always elevates the environment. The baristas are so sweet and friendly and they offer oat milk as an alternative for no extra cost. And doggy treats! There is a small table inside with some free books as well. The matcha latte with no sweetener was excellent and made with care. The only con I'd say is that the road next to the patio can be quite noisy. But if you don't mind that, it's a nice space. They have a solid choice of music too, in my humble opinion!

Be careful not to miss it. I've driven past it before. Turn on left/right on ROBITA ST & there is a convenient PARKING LOT behind the auto shop with plenty to spaces. Super cute outdoor shaded DOG FRIENDLY patio. The baristas are friendly & greet everyone warmly I've been here a couple times & I'm always a fan of their CARDAMOM VANILLA ICED LATTE. I feel like the cardamom is their specialty. I have yet to see it at other cafes. Their coffee is robust, not acidic at all which is always my worry with certain brews. They have a decent food menu with lots of options. It's mainly sandwiches but there's a few on there that I'll be sure to try the next time I come - NOON PANIR: creamy feta, honey, & walnut served on sesame bread. It's a delight combination of sweet & savory. Perfect snacking size & goes great with coffee - BREAKFAST SANDWICH: sausage, egg, cheese, hashbrown, hot honey, & mayo. Doesn't that just sound like an amazing combination? Very satisfying. I would absolutely get this one again METHOD PILATES is right across the lot & this is the perfect place to grab a treat before or after class. I will be back very soon

A breakfast sandwich of dreams. The barbari bread is wonderful! The lattes were also excellent, and what my coffee critic sister and brother in law have claimed as the best in HTX. I recommend sitting outside and enjoying the charming plants. Bonus - this is a pet friendly cafe!

Oatmilk cardamom lavender latte - 8.5/10 - $5.50 - Not a fan of lavender but this had just the perfect hint of it. Oat milk made the drink creamier. The size of the small cup was very small lol but i recommend stopping here for coffee if you're in the area :)

Stopped here on a Saturday while getting our vehicle fixed next door & watched about 3 groups of folks go somewhere else since they don't open till 9am on the weekend. We stopped in since we weren't in a hurry & thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff was friendly & helpful, drinks were tasty (didn't have decaf though) & ambiance was cute & cozy. Will be back if we're ever in the area again.

This coffee shop is right next to my cousin's apartment and I just have to say it's good that I don't live there bc I would end up going to get coffee here every single day. Absolutely loved the iced vanilla cardamom latte. The barista was super sweet and recognized my cousin's dog and greeted the dog as if she was a paying customer. I didn't try any food but everything looked delicious!

What a neat little nook? Did they just open? How come no one knows about this place? Just beyond the little gate and ramp entry lies a cute little intimate cafe. To give credit where credit is due, they did a decent job decorating this white box interior. The interior decor is minimal...a handful of wooded table sets, a smattering of plants, and few local artisan goods for sale, but it helps that natural light FLOODS the place. On my visit, the service was great. The staff was helpful in helping me select an entree. I appreciate the fact that they have vegan options. I ended up ordering the following (about $23 worth of goodies.) Cortado with cardamom vanilla- on my subjective coffee scale that no one asked for I'd say it's pretty good on s scale of "is this even caffeine", to "I'll order another before I leave". The cardamom vanilla was subtle. Noon panir (paneer)- what a sweet and savory treat! Freshly made Id surely order this again as a light snack. The bun b banh mi- one of the sandwiches of the month, this Barbacoa banh mi was certainly an interesting choice. The fried jalepenos and spicy mayo really make the sandwich. Personally, I'm not a banh mi purist, but I was not a fan of their bread choice, I prefer a toasty exterior and pillowy hollowed out interior. Their choice instead too closely mirrors a hotdog bun and overall I felt there was too much bread, Although I would love more flavoring in the Barbacoa, the flavors were nice, and overall this is certainly a unique take on a banh mi. Pro tip for first timers- parking is behind the building in designated spots (don't park in the spots reserved for the paint and body shop).

Delicious drinks at ridiculously good prices, especially considering the area. The lunch items were more than I might typically pay but the drink prices are really fantastic and the drink quality was very good. My son's Green Apple Lemonade was absolutely delicious.

Thankfully, Mark was there and initially was told a 35 minute wait but seemed intent by quicker. Ambiance: 4/5 It was breakfast time so of course it was a busy time. For my visit, it was crowded but not to where you couldn't hear your table. Dress is casual, good for friends, solo, or pit stop. Service: 5/5 Our waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly. Since it was our first visit there, she gave us some background that it was a Pappa's owned restaurant and food is made from scratch. Food: 3/5 They offer mimosas and I was tempted to order, but was driving and it was 9AM so forewent that option. There are food options for every tastebud. Mark ordered the fried cheese sticks, they were one of the items that I found worthwhile to return for. I opted for the Waffle feast. It included a waffle, that I added pecans on top to, two strips of bacon, eggs your way and hash browns. To say that I needed to add salt and pepper to the eggs and hash browns because they tasted bland and flavorless was unfortunate. It also was served at room temperature, because it was made from scratch, would think it be warmer to hot. The waffle was savory and had good mix and topped with the pecans made it even better. If you're on this side of town and want a change up from the "other breakfast diners" DOT would be where I stop. Fast, friendly service. Depending the food you get, it gets the job done for some sustenance to hold you over when you're not sure when your next meal is because you'll be in Galveston for 7 hours riding a float in the Mardi Gras parade.

I meant to save the second one for breakfast, but that was not to be. It did not survive long enough to make it out the door. My actual meal was a bacon swiss and mushroom burger, which was excellent. Between the biscuits and the burger, I am forced to acknowledge that it was entirely too much food. Sadly, that did not prevent me from eating all of it anyway. Delicious! The restaurant, which is a diner with very basic decor, is on an approach road to IAH, and is open 24/7. When I arrived in the evening, the place was empty. By the time I left, there were a whole bunch of customers. I noticed in other reviews that people were saying they did not receive checks for their meal and felt they were over-charged at the register. I did not receive a check either, but the amount I was charged at the register seemed accurate -- and I was paying attention because I had read the other reviews first.

Mr. Picky ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp while I opted for Veal Parmigiana, and we each stole a bite from the other's plate. Seriously, we hadn't expected much when walking in and looking around, but were pleasantly surprised at the kitchen's efforts. We finished lunch with an order of homemade bread pudding and tiramisu, the latter of which in 2012 won a chamber of commerce epicurean competition 1st place ribbon. I wasn't there to judge that competition and have had better, but sincerely appreciated the moistness of the bread pudding. While the majority of diners were older and a more mature crowd, there's a lot to be said for value, and we thought the menu price was better than reasonable and I think a lot of people will discover this as a value destination, something we all appreciate.
