This cute little marketplace is mostly a food court with several food stands...there are a few shops and a large waterfront bar all the way at the end. Some of the most popular choices for food here are the Mean P'town Burgers, the Fortune Cookie Chinese restaurant and the Big Daddy's Burritos. Check out the pictures so you can see some of the other food stand choices. The Aqua Bar is a large bar overlooking the water and it's a great place to get a drink, beer or cocktail. Everything fresh and local. They grow their own clams and oysters in Wellfleet. Clam chowder was rich and buttery and made in-house. Potatoes even had the skins on; which I love. And the onions were not over cooked and added some nice texture. I would like it better if it had more clams and larger pieces of clams. But it's one of the better chowders I've had here in the greater Boston area. And homemade is everything. Thank goodness they don't put corn or bacon in it. When did that become a thing? Seaside restaurants seem to specialize in fried foods, which are of course, delicious, but not very good for you. We opted for the blackened catch of the day, which was swordfish over a green salad. All the greens were fresh and as it's finally warm enough for home grown tomatoes, the cherry tomatoes were sweet and delicious. I so abhor the mealy old tomatoes most people put in salads and on sandwiches. I'm a Sacramento tomato snob; so I am picky about tomatoes. There's just no comparison between store bought and homegrown. But I digress. This place is hard to find and it's in the little food court adjacent to the Aqua Bar and offers open seating and an ocean view. read more

Aquarium Marketplace is a food court and shopping mall that opened in Provincetown, Massachusetts in 1992. From 1964 through the mid-1970s, the property was actually a real aquarium known as the 'Provincetown Marine Aquarium'. It was owned by business partners Donald Gleason and John M. O'Connor. The aquarium's star attractions were three bottlenose dolphins named Jackie, Lady and Lucky. The entire property was converted into a small mall in 1992. Today hungry patrons can discover a wide variety of different cuisines including fresh local seafood, gourmet burgers, Chinese food, Tex-Mex cuisine, Jamaican food, baked goods, coffee, ice cream, and waterfront cocktails. Tenants have come and gone over the years, but "Fortune Cookie" (Chinese Food) has been around since the mall first opened. The whole complex is currently owned by business partners Benjamin DeRuyter and Bruce MacGregor. My family and I visited Aquarium Marketplace on our recent week-long trip to the Cape. We spent the third day of our trip entirely in Provincetown. When dinner time approached, we decided to head to the marketplace because they have so many different cuisines to choose from. We first stopped at "Native Cape Cod Seafood" (open since 2011). I decided to have the "Shrimp Tacos" (with rice and beans), my wife had the "Fish Tacos" (cilantro lime aioli, with rice and beans), and sister-in-law had the "Hot Buttered Lobster Roll" (with hand pressed fries). All of our seafood dishes tasted so fresh and delicious. We also stopped at "Big Daddy's Burrito's" (open since 1995) and got our son a "Cheezy Bean Burrito" off of the Kid's Menu. He really enjoyed it! We love how there are so many different cuisines to choose from at Aquarium Marketplace and we'll continue to visit on future trips to Provincetown! read more

This is my fav' spot in PTown to get food while I enjoy my margarita on a sun filled deck over looking the marina. I planned my getaway from life last Monday to cruise up to Provincetown in hopes that Native Cape Cod would be open. Their restaurant closes for the season in the Fall so it was a fingers and toes crossed situation. I've come here many times before. It's an order and take out kind of place or have it delivered to you at your table on the Aqua Deck a few steps away where they have a full bar and good size cocktails. On the day I went, I had the fish taco plate. I was twitterpating when I got a hold of those swordfish tacos. The red cabbage slaw was a great addition to the grilled sword' and their version of rice and beans went so well with the tacos. I love this place and so reasonably priced. We went here on a very busy night, so maybe our visit wasn't representative of how they usually operate. I got a lobster roll which had very little lobster on it. And it wasn't cheap. The next day we got lobster rolls at a different restaurant, for the same price, and got pretty much twice the meat. My lady got a fried fish sandwich which was good, but I felt ripped off. Best casual place for a Lobster Roll. Perfectly butter toasted bun with cold (lightly mayo) lobster claws! The lobster was so fresh and juicy- you would tell that it was just boiled and shucked. A must try while in Provincetown. We saw other lobster rolls at other restaurants during our stay and nothing compared to this one. read more

They allow food to be bought from here and taken up to Aqua bar which has sea view. This is why I ordered from here. The mussels are amazing but do not order the calamari - for us, it came soggy, no taste and the dip was very tart. Between the mussels and the calamari, there was night and day difference. We were lucky to have a chance to eat at Native Cape Cod Seafood on the last day of the season. It was a relief to have broiled food at a reasonable price. I had a broiled swordfish which normally comes with rice and beans. The server accommodated my request for salad instead of beans. The salad came with an excellent dressing. My companion had a broiled swordfish taco. The combined price for both was $35. In some of the not even fancy restaurants a broiled fish would be $30 We were both pleased to have our last supper in Cape Cod be so good and so un-presupposing. Lobster roll is good. Portions were slightly small. We were served literally by the fisherman's wife who said that her husband does the fishing. Native Cape Cod Seafood is a little place in a food court in Provincetown. You can eat in the Aqua bar, which is steps from the counter and which provides a great view of the harbor and of the social life of Provincetown. read more

Do yourself a flavour: do not order the Fisherman Platter. We ordered a Fisherman Platter ($29) for lunch. The portion was big enough for two. The food quality was disappointing, given that fresh shellfish was easily available at the Cape. Shrimps tasted like frozen shrimps, and they were hard to the bite. The scallops had gone bad; we both could taste the odd flavour. The squids were Chewy with a capital C. The only passable items were the fish fillets. Given the price was similar to restaurants food, the low quality had nothing to do with low profit margin or high rent. There is simply no reason to order any subpar food at a food court/ The only saving grace was the friendliness of the cashier, and the pleasant patio seating. read more

First and foremost bring back Ben! He served up our oysters last year and he was on point with his service. This past weekend...it took eons. It was still delicious but took years to finally get my delectable treat. The clam chowder was delicious as remembered. The price of the lobster roll was a liiiitle steep but very good. I would add just a splash of ketchup to the ceviche; my grandfather use to make a killer recipe and added this to sweeten it slightly. Just a little recommendation; still quite good. Tucked away in the rear of the old aquarium building, past the pace that serves poutine, Native Cape Cod Seafood is serving absolutely fresh, simply prepared local seafood. I have eaten here three times. The fish sandwich is an excellent standby. Fresh haddock, home made tartar sauce, chunky hand-cut fries. Oysters were delicious, fresh, briny. The hot lobster roll was delicious: tender, buttery. The clams with linguine were good, not great (the clams were better than the linguine). This is one of the best seafood places in Provincetown, in my opinion. The place is run by very hard working and friendly people. The food was so good. I had a few meals there and all of the fish was cooked perfectly and the clam chowder is to die for. I love the outside seating and the casual atmosphere. We were navigating the streets of Provincetown looking for a lunch spot. My first choice, Canteen, was closed so I started to panic. I didn't have a Plan B. We walked a bit further and noticed a patio with a fabulous view of the harbour. Just before we stepped onto the patio was Native Cape Cod Seafood. We decided to chance it and grab some lunch. Our order - lobster roll with fries ($18.95) and a cup of clam chowder ($7). We nabbed the last cup of chowder for the day and I'm so glad we didn't miss out because it was very good. I finished it while waiting for our lobster roll. The lobster roll was massive...stuffed to the top with meat. Fries were fresh cut - awesome! Grabbed a few Cape Cod beers ($6) from the bar on the patio and had a fantastic lunch overlooking the harbour. Hurray for Plan B! read more

Left my cash in the car so I was looking for a quick bite where I could use a credit card. The woman taking orders was friendly and welcoming. The food... Wow, gross. Who adds salt to fried shrimp after it's been fried. I can see the salt on top. $20 for 7 small pieces of fried shrimp, burnt fries, and tasteless cole slaw? They ought to be ashamed to serve that while surrounded by the ocean. Just gross. I'm so happy I didn't order fried clams as I initially thought I would. $24 for probably the same quality. I are the shrimp, a few of the fries, and two bites of coleslaw. Provincetown is such a popular destination. It's a shame so many eateries feel like they can serve subpar food to unknowing tourists. I've learned the good places to go over the years but every year I try to branch out. This year was a flop. read more

This place is absolutely delicious. We wanted waterfront dining and found this place called Aqua bar and Native CC seafood was tucked away at the end of the food court. I went back three times during my recent stay and this is quite possibly my new go to. Every time we grabbed some oysters, had lobster rolls, the lobster mac n' cheese, shrimp caesar salad, and the fish tacos. Everything was incredibly fresh and the view is awesome. read more

They had mis-prepared a dish (added sauce when it was supposed to be on the side), noticed the mistake before serving us and redid it apologizing for the wait! That goes far in my book! Went to Native Cape Cod Seafood while in Provincetown for the week. Ordered the whole belly clam platter. I do know whole belly clams are pricey, but this was absolutely ridiculous. At $27 and change (I believe it was a dollar or two more but not completely sure), I expected more than SIX(!!) clams on a mountain of fries. Plus, the wait was over the top. I was with a group of friends, all of whom ordered from other food stands, and all were already seated outside, eating, when I finally received my meager order. When I did finally sit down, every one of them was shocked at what I had been served. Sure, I could have complained to the kid at the register, but what could she have done? I didn't bother simply because it would have been a waste of my time. I mentioned this place to a few locals after the fact, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM said had they known I was even considering this place, they all would have told me to avoid it at all costs. I go to Provincetown very regularly, a few times per year and won't ever both with this place again. There are a TON of places you can choose from. Don't let this be one of them. read more

Yummy locally sourced food ! Native Cape Cod is situated next to the Aqua Bar which allows customers to use the bar area overlooking the bay to enjoy their food. We ordered a hot lobster roll and a garden salad with a side of fries and it did not disappoint. The roll was full of juicy lobster and the size was just right for two to share. The native fish pocket was probably one of the most delicious things I've had. A fat fish taco on grilled tortilla with corn salsa, black beans, cilantro and amazing sauce. The lobstah roll was HUGE and so good. We ate lunch on the deck over looking the ocean. Truly epic. Yum! read more

This place has the most impeccably fresh local seafood. Andrew harvests a lot of the shellfish himself. He gets the rest from trusted local fishermen, and whatever is the best and freshest each day makes it onto the menu. The chef is new this year, and the food is better than ever. The view out over Provincetown Harbor is unparalleled, and being out in the open air the noise around you is minimal. You can easily have a real conversation here. This is the first place I always send people who want good seafood at a reasonable price in a seaside resort. Sometimes I get what may seem like a smaller serving than I might have had before, but that is a function of the daily market prices for fresh seafood. Some days a particular fish will cost more than it did the day before, some days less, so prices can fluctuate a bit. I write TheYearRounder's Guide to Provincetown, and this place has won one of my 'Best Bite' awards three times in three years. I came here for my birthday dinner with my bf we ordered steamed clams in white wine with no sausage) it was 10 or 12 clams for 18 dollars!!! We also got fried calamari (another very skimp portion maybe 6 greasy rings and three tentacles ) and lobster bisque no lobster in the bisque just lots of cream. We paid 41 dollars and we left starving we had to go to another place to eat dinner again. I was sooo disappointed!!
