Did not get anything from here myself, this is dad's rating. He got the lobster scampi, he said it was delicious. Kind of drenched in butter but overall high quality and comes out very quickly.

Best casual place for a Lobster Roll. Perfectly butter toasted bun with cold (lightly mayo) lobster claws! The lobster was so fresh and juicy- you would tell that it was just boiled and shucked. A must try while in Provincetown. We saw other lobster rolls at other restaurants during our stay and nothing compared to this one.

Fresh local seafood with an ocean view. We had a nice lunch at native cape cod seafood. I got the fish tacos, grilled sea bass. It was good and fresh, with a nice corn lime salsa. The portion was a tad small for the price point of $12.00 for 2 small tacos. You get to eat outside on picknick tables over looking the harbor.

They allow food to be bought from here and taken up to Aqua bar which has sea view. This is why I ordered from here. The mussels are amazing but do not order the calamari - for us, it came soggy, no taste and the dip was very tart. Between the mussels and the calamari, there was night and day difference. Overall, I would come back for the mussels (and the view thanks to Aqua Bar). Calamari was an absolute waste of money.

UH-MAZING! Best oysters I've ever had. Ben did a wonderful job shucking and preparing the dozen beauties I (almost) ate entirely by myself (mostly because I didn't want to share!). While he worked away he kept us entertained with his witty humor. Thank you Ben and thank you Native for an awesome start to our vacation in the Cape!

Ben shucked my very first oyster! He shucked to perfection - would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Ben shucked me my very first oyster! It was absolutely delicious! Tasted just like the ocean. This place is a must go for the authentic, local, seafood! Don't try to hit up some tourist place when you can go here. So fresh.

Fisherman's platter..$28.95 for this? Are you kidding me? It's super soggy! it's terrible! DO NOT ORDER THIS! Robbery! !

My partner and I went to this place after the carnival. We ordered the fisherman's platter and it costs us $30?? There were 3 shrimps..2 scallops..few rings and 3 tentacles..and few fries. It was soggy, rubbery and over cooked. Over priced. It's not worth it. Do yourself a favor...DO NOT ORDER THIS PLATTER!

Do yourself a flavour: do not order the Fisherman Platter. We ordered a Fisherman Platter ($29) for lunch. The portion was big enough for two. The food quality was disappointing, given that fresh shellfish was easily available at the Cape. Shrimps tasted like frozen shrimps, and they were hard to the bite. The scallops had gone bad; we both could taste the odd flavour. The squids were Chewy with a capital C. The only passable items were the fish fillets. Given the price was similar to restaurants food, the low quality had nothing to do with low profit margin or high rent. There is simply no reason to order any subpar food at a food court/ The only saving grace was the friendliness of the cashier, and the pleasant patio seating.

    Legit!

A special thank you to Elia, who helped us with our reservation, accommodated a change, and even helped with a gift card. That kind of attention and care set the tone before we even arrived. It made a real difference. The hostess at the front desk was also incredibly kind and helpful, and we appreciated that right away. We were seated upstairs in a beautiful room that felt intimate and special, perfect for celebrating the holiday. The food exceeded our expectations. We started with the crab cakes and watermelon salad, both excellent. I had the chicken, Scott had the lobster, and both were outstanding. What made the night memorable wasn't just the food, though -- it was the hospitality. You can tell when a restaurant has people who genuinely care about the guest experience, and Helltown delivered that in every way. We'll absolutely be back.

Now that they renovated and…read morecompletely cheapened the appearance of the upstairs making it look like a mix between an old Woolworth's lunch counter and a gaudy Chinese restaurant they ruined it. Even the art is tacky. Why did they do this?!!! The entry is cavernous and echos into the restaurant (They need to install French doors at the entry at the top to resolve this). Also when you sit at the bar you see directly into the kitchen area with electric boxes, crates and simply unappealing view. YUCK!! Why wouldn't they not put a swinging door hiding the kitchen like every restaurant does?? Geez paying $50+ for an entree and you look at a kitchen area with crates and stuff is awful! No fine dining establishment should let a client see this. I don't know who the architect was but they destroyed a restaurant where people went for ambiance and incredible food and service. I am so sad because we have gone there for many years and it was a favorite. Even the food is not what it used to be. The lobster risotto used to be creamy and delightful now it is sticky and over garlicky. Why? Why? Why? !!!! Why have you destroyed a fabulous restaurant?!!!! The restaurant had lots of open tables. This has NEVER happened in the past. Usually it would be so packed (especially Carnival week) you'd be waiting for your reserved table and there would be so many people. I even noticed that there are a huge number of opening this week. This is NOT normal. Please owners you need to do something to change this FAST. Bring it back to the old Mews ambiance. Starting with getting rid of the red paint, the tacky art, the noise from the cavernous hall and a door between the bar and the kitchen. AND hire a better chef. Sue whoever designed it. Horrid.

The bang bang shrimp and lobster deviled eggs were both very good and set high expectations for what was to come. Unfortunately, all of our entrees fell flat. Nothing was bad, but nothing stood out either. The dishes just lacked flavor especially given the reputation. The biggest concern came when we overheard staff turning away guests with shellfish allergies because the kitchen has "shellfish all over the place." While I appreciate being transparent about allergy risks, hearing it described that way was alarming and raised questions about kitchen practices and cleanliness. For a restaurant of this caliber, that was disappointing to hear. Overall, a few strong appetizers couldn't make up for underwhelming entrees and a concerning impression of the kitchen.

Unfortunately, the exterior of the building is easy to miss, with all of the curtains closed, making it blend into its surroundings unless you're specifically looking for it. We were greeted promptly upon arrival and appreciated the thoughtful nods to the original location, with several familiar items on display. It was a nice touch that added some character and nostalgia. We chose to sit at the bar, which is quite large. The bartender was responsible for approximately 20 bar guests while also handling drink service for the restaurant. Despite being spread very thin, she was friendly, attentive, and made excellent martinis. She truly did the best she could under the circumstances. We ordered an appetizer, which took a long time to arrive. When our entrées were served, both the pasta and chicken dishes were only lukewarm. The sauces were extremely thin--more like soup than a pasta sauce. To add to the disappointment, there was no bread service because the restaurant had run out of bread. Overall, the meals were fair but fell well short of our expectations. As we were leaving, we tried to speak with the hostess about the new location and the restaurant's plans for the future. Unfortunately, she seemed dismissive and showed little interest in having a conversation with us. We genuinely wanted Front Street's new chapter to be a success and were hoping for a much better experience, especially after spending nearly $200. There is certainly potential here--the location is beautiful, and some members of the staff are clearly working hard--but the overall dining experience simply did not match the price point. We hope the restaurant is able to address these issues as it settles into its new home for the rest of this season.
