Ocean 193 is an amazing seafood restaurant on the water in Provincetown. We have been here for the last 3 years on our summer vacation. It's great to be greeted by the friendly hosts, and have equally friendly servers. We like sitting on on outside deck, as they have a great view of the water. I recommend reservations. They have a full service bar and offer some great cocktails, like my favorite The Aviation. The menu is seafood forward, with many offerings. We started with the shrimp cocktail and caesar salad, but the best starter is the Salmon Sushi Blossom. Then we enjoyed the crispy nori tuna and Bulgogi cod. Both are so unique and flavorful, and are visually appealing when served. We enjoy the attentive service here, and Lian was so friendly and engaging again this year. Thank you Ocean 193! read more

This restaurant has previously been a great option for someone who is vegan and gluten free. This time around, I was greatly disappointed as there was no entree that was both gf and vegan, only a vegan pasta that did not have a gf pasta option which would have been super easy to keep on hand. I could only have an app and a salad and left hungry. read more

We were hoping to sit on the deck under their tent with the expansive views of the bay, but after seeing the forecasted cold weather, called and asked if it would be wise to move inside. I was told best to move inside but we'd still have a water view. Nope. Seated in the back of the dining room near the kitchen was a letdown. They've made an effort to renovate the former club/bar space, but the interior was less than comfortable and inviting. Sitting on the deck is surely the way to go here in warm weather. Our dinner was mostly good: --an impressive endive pear salad ($18) with candied pecans, sliced passion fruit infused pear, blue cheese, passion fruit vinaigrette --clam chowder, piping hot and tasty --grilled swordfish ($38) with a onion, avocado, cilantro, tomato, cucumber salsa, and mango coulis. 07/26/2025 This was our first visit to Ocean 193. Sadly it was rainy and cool, so even though we were seated at a high top overlooking the beach, the tent flaps had been pulled down. But no fault there. "S" happens. My wife ordered the Wellfleet oysters which she said were very very good. I opted for a healthier Endive, pear, blue cheese salad with a very nice passionfruit vinaigrette. The lobster seafood fettuccine that my wife enjoyed and the short rib ragu pappardelle that I had were both very very good. I managed to pick a chianti that was... just ok, but again, no fault on Ocean 193 for that. Service was very good. We'd be happy to stop in again 'next time.' read more

Bad and quite slow inattentive service Stark, dark confusing decor Snippy policies about not substituting things -- made eating keto very difficult. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Pulling a total Karen here. We walked up and the manager / male hostess told us we'd have to wait because they switching over staff we said it was fine. Said ten mins. We sat at the table for over twenty minutes while every other tables order was taken and serviced after us. We said okay that's it let's leave and the manager legit said see you later with the biggest smile as we exited. Honestly felt like he didn't want us to be serviced. Came for pre-season prefixe. Food quality was poor. The lobster quesadilla was awful. Rubbery , lobster tasted off and was very unpleasant. The salad lacked dressing and the main course was mediocre at best. Our reservation was 7:30pm and they ran out of salmon - 1 of 3 options. Desert was good- both the mango and Flan option. Poor service - our waiter seemed annoyed the entire time. We live in Provincetown and support local businesses. $380 later we regret trying this place and will not return. This town is filled with amazing restaurants. Step it up. read more

Was here 1 yr ago and searched it out upon our return to P-town. The ability to sit on the water is definitely an asset. But most importantly, the food is very good. Look - the season is short and the rent is high. You pay a premium in town regardless. So you might as well get better food! We had a burrata and a pear & endive salad to start. Both were delightful. We later shared cod fritters and a sandwich. Everything tasty and well prepared. Looking around - I had fish taco envy! They were a generous portion. The service was very good. The food was hit or miss though. The clam chowder was watery and the conch fritters were very bready. The shrimp cocktail, oysters, and bluefin tuna were all good but that's to be expected in the area. I came back a second time and the food selections ended up being much better. I've been coming to Provincetown for 50 years and been to all of the "notable" restaurants many, many times. Even the notables often lack vigor, creativity, and quality service. Most of their menus are boring and haven't changed in years. That's why, it was so refreshing to find Ocean 193. Since it opened in 2019, I've been dozens of times (and brought friends and family) and each time was rewarded with delicious food, beautifully plated, and friendly, helpful, and responsive service. Prices are competitive. On top of that, the view is one of the best in town and the owner, Frank, puts everything he has into making your dining experience top notch. I can't recommend Ocean 193 highly enough. You won't be disappointed! read more

This place was somewhat challenging to find, but well worth it! We arrived just before closing and they were cool about it. The dining area is basically in the harbor, so views to die for. I got the lobster pasta. It was not just lobster, also shrimp, clams, mussels, and scallops. My wife got the short rib pasta and it was just as lovely. read more

So I don't normally give a bad review but.... This restaurant is suffering. We are seasonal locals and have been here 3-4 times this year. The menu hasn't changed so that's disappointing. We had reservations and the dining room was 60% empty the entire time. We were stuck at a crappy table on the stage which would be fine but first rule of dining room management is you treat your guest as special as possible. The manager should know our names by now as we always make a point to o say hello and shake his hand. The staff should make more of an effort to connect with the staff. We had the same waitress that we had twice last year and twice this year. We know her name and make a point to use it. I think we will not go again this season ( we are here May - November). This place location used to be known as The Club and I remembered the dance floor that lit up. Luckily the new name Ocean193 has the same food quality, views and flexibility for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We came for dinner after making a reservations. Although the deck was covered, the view was amazing and staff was courteous and friendly. I ordered the cod and broccolini. So good!! The raw oysters were amazing as well. Amanda ordered clam chowder as a meal. Tuna tartar for appetizer, delish!! Would we go back? In the summer for the view it would be well worth it. Eek me thinks not. The good thing about this place is that it's open all year round. So if you come during the off season, you can find dinner here. Everything else I have nothing good to say. We tried the scallops and seared cod entrees. They were small mini scallops, and a bit overcooked. They were drenched in a sweet balsamic sauce. Too much sauce and too strong ! Scallops have a subtle oceany flavor that should not be masked with so much sauce. The cod was not really seared but maybe broiled or oven baked. No skin on it. And the sauce again was way overdone. This would all be passable if the place was priced accordingly. But these are $40 entrees. So the quality is unacceptable for the high price. read more

Great experience here. Host was friendly and kind and so was my server. LOVE all the gluten free options! Sat outside so can't beat the ambience when you're right on the beach. But back to the food...as a native Cape Codder who grew up eating clam fritters and fried seafood, I was devastated when I found out I could no longer eat such things (or gluten more generally). Enter Ocean 193 to save the day! Conch fritters and fried oysters were to die for (seriously, best I've ever had both pre- and post-gluten intolerance) and didn't make me sick afterwards. Amazing service, food, wine selection, ambiance. The staff were remarkably knowledgeable about the menu and wine; very friendly and helpful with food/wine pairings; the service was prompt and the food came in a beautiful presentation. We have had wonderful food in both Provincetown and Wellfleet this past week while on vacation, but our last dinner tonight was a step above them all. (Thanks to Lucinda for the recommendation after a great history tour with her.) It turns out Thursdays Ocean 193 has a great deal that includes your choice of starter, entree, and dessert. We each order different items and shared it all. Everything we tried was so delicious including such great oysters, the lamb shank and the most amazing lobster alfredo with a delicious broth not heavy sauce and cod, clams shrimp, and scallops along side a huge fresh lobster tail.. It was soooo good. We had lots of seafood this week and similar dishes but this beat it all. We shared an amazing lava cake not just average but the best, and still have a fruit Neapolitan we brought home. We will be back for sure and we would sit in the outside tent again right on the water with great views. Such a good way to wrap up a fun vacation. read more
