We ate here one night during Women's Week with a sizable group of people and the waitstaff did a great job of accommodating us, even letting us squeeze an extra person on the reservation. The back room hangs out over the water and when it's light outside the views are stunning, but even when it's not the menu is fantastic and diverse enough to make up for the dark windows. I ordered the steak tips, and they gave me several options for sauces. I went with the teriyaki which was fantastic but a friend got the marinade and it was also great. The meat was so tender and flavorful. The table also got some Brussel sprouts to share and they were done to crispy perfection. My friend ordered the salmon with a flavorful crust and it looked so good I had to steal a few bites. Ultimately, not a bad dish at the table. I got the sense you really can't go wrong here. Fanizzi's is quite a walk from town center through the east end, but trust me, you're going to need all the way back to work off the food stupor you will undoubtedly leave in after such a fantastic meal. read more

Overall the dining experience was great even though they screwed up our reservation. They were still able to get us a beautiful table by the window so that we could see the water. I really enjoyed my meal. I ordered the burrata salad and the chicken parmesan. The burrata salad was perfect and creamy with the best ratio of dressing to salad. The only thing that really threw me off was the pasta that they provided with the chicken parm. Chicken parm ALWAYS comes with linguine and I for the life of me couldn't figure out why it came with the weirdly shaped pasta and I know it isn't because they didn't have linguini because my dad had some in his dish. It really made no sense and kind of messed with the dish. Maybe they were going for a more creative twist, but this was not it. The food was good, and the scenery was gorgeous. Our food came out in good time, and we were able to get to our show early. I'm glad we came other than the few hiccups. read more

Right off queer o meter still a 10,000 in ptown. Excellent. Tried to get a water view, but couldn't so we opted for street side seating. It was a nice space and the AC was on - we were in need! The waiter was super nice and accommodating. After some chat with him and looking the menu over we ended up with a turkey burger and shrimp pesto over linguini. The menu itself has a a lot of apps and salads. The entree section is small but covers the basic meat cravings...ie. Steak tips, meatloaf, chicken parm, sous vide crisped chicken, scallops, cheesy version of baked cod etc.. the specials cover the rest - pork chops, pesto shrimp pasta etc. both dishes were excellent. Good portions and quality ingredients. Prices are in line with ptown and drinks reasonable at about $12-$15. The onion rings are thin and made just the way I like them. They made a mistake on one of the burgers and the owner brought out a huge plate of onion rings and apologized. It's difficult to decide the best thing about this place. The water views during the daylight hours are simply stunning. But as we were there after dark, the food was also exquisite. Of course the menu is seafood heavy , as you would expect, but the non-seafood options are Italian delights. Wonderful wine, cocktail, and appetizer menu as well. A favorite spot whenever we are in Provincetown. They are open even in the off season and have great views of the water. Prices are reasonable for casual fare. We stopped here for lunch and enjoyed salads and a clam roll. Server was a little abrupt and didn't offer waters (we had to ask) but was relatively efficient. read more

Such a nice place with a beautiful water view. We went early so we're seated immediately. The service was great. We started with the muscles and they were cooked well and so delicious. Next I had scallops piccata and my husband had chicken Parmesan. The portions were generous and both were very good. Our martinis were a bit small but tasty. The only miss was the tiramisu. To me it wasn't tiramisu. It was cake with cream in the middle and chocolate sauce on top. We can't wait to return and try more dishes but we will skip dessert! read more

We come here every year when we visit P-town. We usually sit in the dining room that looks over the water, but this year, we were seated in the lounge. They let us know ahead of time, which was nice. There's typically parking in their lot or along Commercial St. We enjoy the food here. We all get a mix of different things when we come, and the food is always very good. We've also had excellent service every time. It's a loud, fun, exuberant place. read more

We were staying next door and walked over for lunch and it was delicious. The menu has something for everyone. A gem tucked into the neighborhood. They have limited parking and you might be able to snag street parking, which isn't an issue in off season. This restaurant is worth Parking in the public lot and walking to it in high season. This spot is cute and casual with a lovely view of the water. Overall, the service was fast but not really present with waiters there but not fully attentive. The food was overall enjoyable! I enjoyed the cold lobster roll mayo with the side of pickles and French fries. The mayo had some pickles chopped up in it which gave a nice tangy bite. The fries were underseasoned and the pickles were the garlic type which I would have preferred the option for dill or sweet. The fish and chips were average and the clam chowder was good but not the best had. Overall, with all the other options available in Ptown, this isn't at the top of my list but still a good choice. read more

When we arrived it was nice. The room had a view of the bay during the sunset. We ordered our dinner and we probably waited a little over an hour for four dishes. When the food arrived, a member of our party's food was horrible and horrendous. Ordered a burger with grilled onion and they were completely burnt. I was able to pick it up and crumble it and it turned into crumbs. Tasted like charcoal and was midnight black. My dinner was actually consumable all thought it lacked flavor; chicken piccata. Part of the chicken had a vein and was bloody. Waiter brought 3 rolls for the 4 of us after waiting for over an hour. The views were nice, would not return. read more

We found this restaurant while staying with friends on the cape. Cute little place overlooking the water. Due to our last-minute reservation, we sat in the lounge. Although our table was not ready when we got there, the host was very friendly and apologetic about the wait. The restaurant was packed and so many good choices on the menu to choose from. They had one of my favorites, a stuffed artichoke that you don't find too often. Unfortunately, it came out undercooked the first time around, but they graciously brought a second one, which was cooked perfectly. For dinner, I had the steak tips, which were rare just as i requested. And for drinks, I had a delicious chocolate martini. Everyone was very happy with their meals. We had a lunch here one beautiful summer afternoon. They have a great location right on the PTown harbor. The ambiance is a little casual & a little upscale. Very comfortable. The service was great, very efficient taking the order & food was quick to come out. The star of the show was the food. I had the lobster roll which was great with large chunks of lobster!! It's a bit of a walk from the main town but it's well worth it! Fanizzi's is an Italian restaurant where the main dining hall is on a deck overlying the water so you get excellent views if you can score one of their window seats! We did make reservations a week in advance and specifically asked for one of those as it was our anniversary weekend. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. We started with the steamed mussels which were light but also flavorful. The mussels tasted fresh and really complemented the sauce it was in. Of course, we had to ask for extra bread because the sauce was that delicious! For our mains, my partner had the Cajun Seafood Alfredo, which he cleaned in 5 minutes, and I had the honey spicy salmon special, which was so delicious. We've been coming to P-Town at least twice a year for the past 5 years now and I'm glad we finally got to try Fanizzi's. It will definitely be added to one of our go-to spots! read more

I've been here a few times, as it's my parents favorite place in Ptown. I just took my boyfriend here for lunch- as it was his first time in the cape and it was ( as always ) an incredible experience. Our waiter was awesome.. we even saw him in town after our meal and he was super personable and was cracking jokes. I got the honey mustard chicken- tried and true- and it did not disappoint. My man got the fish and chips and he didn't leave a crumb. We had wine.. but honestly? I was tempted by the drink specialties. Also- it's special to be able to sit right on the water.. the restaurant is clean and tidy and the staff are very personable. Always good, always fun, always good food and drinks. The cocktails are always spot on. Billy physically cannot make a bad drink. The food is excellent. Burnt ends is is go to for us, along with truffle fries. Also, the salads, burgers and mussels and other seafood are great. Wintertime try the meatloaf. Service is always friendly, warm and attentive. You cannot beat the location. The bar has a view of the water, the dining room has a view of the water.... You get the idea. Window seats are great since you can see the water get real close to the dining room during high tide. We have even had our window splashed with water when the bay is a little rough. read more

We were going to a play at 7:00 pm so had to eat dinner at 5:00 p.m. It was our travel down to Ptown date so we're both hungry. A waiter I've had many times before was attentive taking our order fairly soon. I ordered off the early bird menu, steak tips (comes with mashed potato and asparagus). You also get a choice of soup or salad so I chose the clam chowder. Person with me ordered the salmon. Diet coke and unsweetened iced tea came quickly as did his salad and my chowder. The chowder was really good and his salad looked great as well. We realized it was still early to get to the play so we didn't mind waiting for the main course. It was a good 35-45 minute wait after we finished the appetizers. Because we have had this waiter many times before, we simply thought he was letting us take our time. He was very busy, clearly seen. We both think our orders were forgotten about as when it finally arrived my medium rare steak tips had no runoff and were dry and cold. Guy sitting with me, his dinner also cold and the salmon had also gone dry. We were going to complain about it, but knew we would have to wait for our order to be redone and didn't have that kind of time left because our main course took so long to arrive at the table. We both ate a cold, dry dinner and got to the play (which was a five minute drive away) about 20 minutes before it started at 7. PS I will add we have eaten at Fanizzi's for quite a few years and it was always good. Most of the time, somehow we would get the same server as we had this day as well. But this day was a severe disappointment. Being a former waiter years back myself, our orders I believe were sitting up there and not picked up for quite some time which is why they dried out. I was, as was he, very disappointed in this visit. Hopefully, it was just a one-time thing. Had we had more time at that point we would have refused the main course, paid for what we had at that point, and had the order redone. It was that bad. PSS It's too bad what happened that day as our prior experiences there were always wonderful and we have gone every year now for the past 4-5 years or so. Sometimes more than once in the same week. Just felt that management should know about what happened. Because the order was cold I do think it was an oversight as prior visits with the same waiter were always attentive and the food delicious. read more
