We enjoyed this restaurant twice on our visit to Provincetown. First was a quick stop for cocktails and appetizer. The second was for dinner. Reservations are very much encouraged. Great bar and bartender Jeff was excellent. First trip, we ordered calamari and coconut shrimp apps and some cocktails at the bar. We really enjoyed the shrimp app. Second visit, we made reservations for outside seating on the deck. Good view of the Provincetown harbor and a piano that sits on the beach. The American menu offers seafood and steakhouse options. Soups include French onion and seafood chowders. Our server, Chrissy, was very personable and super friendly. She definitely provided good information on menu for wine and dinner. We went with lobster chowder and coconut shrimp for starters and the pork chops with mashed potatoes for dinner. Chowder was loaded with seafood and flavorful. The pork chop was cooked medium to perfection with an amazing sauce. The mashed potatoes were very good. The meals were very filling so dessert was not ordered. The dessert menu offered full list for all palates including good list of digestifs. Both visits provided excellent experiences. Very friendly staff and a very nice view. However I found the food to be just ok. I ordered the paella and it was fairly disappointing.

We arrived after booking online (RESY) so easily. Once again, after a full year, our server was Tammy. It was so welcoming. Great service. The specialty drink list is great, and so is the draft beer list, and an AMAZING wine list. Glass or bottle, you can't miss. The PATE' is just perfect. In my family we are huge fans of Ross's Grill. We have always had high expectations for each experience that we've had. Our meal the other day was no exception. They were able to seat us on time and our service was really good. Our waiter Pele was professional, kind, attentive, and was quick to make se that our needs were met. I didn't even need to ask for refills on my drink because they kept coming. The food was also really good so of course I send my most genuine compliments to the chef. I ordered the oysters that I shared with my mom and the Cod, Shrimp, and Scallop Fettuccini. The portions were generous and the pasta was creamy with the perfect ratio of pasta to fish. I also got the pleasure of trying the Banana Bread Pudding and the Lemon Creme Brulee. I didn't think I could like bread pudding as much as I enjoyed this dish. It was warm and sweet, but not too sweet, and it wasn't over or underdone. Overall It's a shame that I won't be here for too much longer and I'll have to wait for my next trip to Cape Cod in order to come back to Ross's Grill. When I come back I'll be sure to order the Cape Cod Seafood Stew because that's pretty good too. read more

Upstairs at the end of the wharf sits Ross' Grill. They have amazing views of the beach and harbor. Nice decor and comfortable seating. A very attentive wait staff and a broad selection on the menu. The Steak Frites was exceptional, the chimichurri sauce was spicy and I should have gone with a classic compound butter. But even so, the steak needed no sauce, it was tender and cooked to perfection. I can't wait to come back and try another dish! read more

Guys when they say they will give you a basket of fries they really mean A WHOLE GIANT BASKET. And they were super tasty and crispy too! The seafood stew was delicious and came with the a giant piece of salmon and lots of fresh seafood. Service was so kind - they offered to bring extra bread to sop up the broth from the seafood stew which was exactly what I wanted to do with the delicious soupyness. Desserts were also no joke - chocolate cake was decadent and key lime was perfectly tart. All in all a great dinner and a great view of the ocean at night! read more

We had a great lunch today at Ross' Grill. It was a sunny but windy Saturday in October, so we decided to dine inside, not out. But their outdoor seating has great views of the Pier and the water. We ordered Cape Cod Blonde beers, and shared a bowl of little neck claims. The broth was so good it made you want to drink every drop. I had the Salmon BLT, which was the star of the show. I will say that the food was good and there is a view of the water. After that, I will say that the service and the timing it took to get served was way too long. The wait staff was clearly over-whelmed and the kitchen is not equipped to handle the summer crowds. We stumbled into this place when walking through a mall. They had two seats available at the bar and we took them. The ocean view was spectacular! Our bartender Kristina was both efficient and attentive. The drinks were superb! Dinner was delicious! My husband had the fish and chips, I had the fish and fettuccini. Both were excellent. Had lunch at Ross today. Started with a Bloody Mary which was good but maybe a bit too spicy. Had the French dip with onions and Swiss and it was good but nothing special. The menu has a wide variety but nothing really stood out. It was a good lunch but not one that I would choose to go back to again since there are so many other options in Provincetown. Great spot to grab a drink and taste some yummy food. Caesar and his staff are very much in tune with what patrons want. The first being, to be validated, cared for and endure good food and drink. This venue is located on the second floor and has limited seating making your experience more intimate. The place has small outdoor balcony seating along with a variety of tables that capture a scenic view of the Atlantic Ocean. The bar is located at the center of the restaurant offering patrons a Birds Eye view of the bar along with oversight of food being swiftly ushered to tables- Due expect, Caesar himself to greet you and offer a warm smile along with the friendly charm of a cherished friend. I have patronized this place often and always enjoy the experience. The wait staff is always attentive and knowledgeable. Both of which is refreshing to individuals wanting not solely a good dining experience but also for those seeking service. We had no reservations but were offered either bar seating or a nice table. We opted for a table and were safely ushered to such by Caesar. We were quickly offered water and shortly after our waitress provided menus which were a welcome treat for us seeking lunch. Though the building is old and showing age the atmosphere was pleasant and the view fantastic. The space was clean and well managed. We both ordered lunch with drinks with the drinks arriving shortly after we waited for our lunch. Both our meals arrived after a short time all of which were freshly made and adorn with artfully thought out presentation. My spouse opted for a Hog Island beer which arrived in a clean frosty glass and my coke was cool and refreshing. The fish and chips were hot and not oily and the hand cut French fries were seasoned just right and cooked to perfection. The fish was nicely cooked and neither overly battered nor over cooked.... The Caesar wrap arrived with a nice ensemble of grapes and cantaloupe with the lettuce being a well balanced combination of crisp lettuce and tasty grilled chicken. The potato salad was not drowning in dressing nor overly seasoned thereby reminding me of my youth during the Summer. We opted to share a dessert and I must admit the chocolate peanut butter pie was a sinfully but amazing dessert well worth an extra gym workout. The peanut butter was more like a fluffy moose ( amazing) the crust was just the right amount of chocolate not soggy offering a firm satisfying complement with the peanut butter... plus the fresh from scratch hand whipped cream ( mmmm good) I am rarely disappointed by this place and really took notice of how Caesar invests his energy into making each person feel comfortable. Other restaurants in town could learn a thing or two into how dedicated he is in validating patrons while empowering his staff... all with a smile on his handsome face!!!! Well done read more

I come to Provincetown once a year and Ross's Grill is a must for at least one dinner. I love that they honor the reservation. We came on time and we're seated immediately. Dinner tonight was amazing. Marina was our server and she was kind and had great suggestions for menu items. She was attentive and always had a smileS. For Appetizers, We shared scallops and Caesar salad which were fresh and well made. Scallops were cooked perfectly. I wasn't too hungry and had the vegetarian ravioli which was amazing. My husband had the steak with crab stuffed inside (special), which he said was flavorful and came with a crispy potato cake with cheese which he says tasted decadent like a pizza. Best French Onion soup in New England (and everything else is pretty darn good too!) Their seating policy is a little wonky (at best). Reserving bar seats vs welcoming guests inside is odd. I've diner here several times this season, both lunch and dinner. Each time service has been great and am constantly reminded of how really good the service and food are. Great menu, especially for dinner with some great options you don't find elsewhere in Ptown, wine selections are always thoughtful and not your usual suspects. This restaurant is tucked away in the back of the outdoor mall by the water. The view was beautiful if you dine outside. Most restaurants in Provincetown closed at 3pm for lunch, so we were glad to find Ross' Grill that closed at 4pm. Prices were reasonable, and the waiter was very nice. The oysters were fresh, but the food was pretty average. Most of the food around here is like this (grill or seafood) with a similar vibe, so I would just choose one with a good view! read more
