My Birthday Dinner could not have been more perfect! From the understated elegant decor to the impeccable service to the refined and artful culinary masterpieces, not to mention the Company, I savored every moment of my experience at the Cuvee Restaurant in The Chatham Inn. They could not have made the evening more memorable. We will return. Take a peek. https://lisaefreedman.com/the-chatham-inn-cuvee-restaurant-a-jewel-on-the-cape/

This is by far the worst restaurant we have ever been to. The dining room feels like a sterile conference room and overall awkward setup- certainly not the experience we were hoping for/ expecting with a restaurant like this. The service from our waitress was almost insulting, we felt looked down upon and made to feel stupid for asking how big the steak entree was. We were given a rude look and told " it's the size of an entree". The sommelier was the only good part of the experience as he was very knowledgeable, professional and offered us a bottle of complementary wine for our anniversary. However, the waitress was looking down her nose at us the entire dinner and we seriously couldn't get out of there fast enough. On top of that the food was mediocre at best. We are big foodies and eat at a lot of fine dining restaurants and this was the worst we've ever experienced. The appetizer was 7 cut up cherry tomatoes with no seasoning on a dollop of what tasted like Heinz ketchup. Overall the worst experience, we have never been so looked down upon by a waitress, we will never be back here. We went back to our hotel ( we were staying at the Chatham Bars Inn) and had an amazing dinner there instead. Spend your money somewhere else!

The pre dessert! Goats milk cheesecake - a taste of thanksgiving. So, so good and such a surprise.

This place is truly the best food for many miles! Every dish was amazing. The staff was professional, caring, and dedicated to excellence. Prepare for an elevated dining experience. My photo descriptions don't even begin to convey the balance, artistry and complexity of these amazing dishes!

Dinner at Cuvee, under the leadership of Chef Issac Olivo, means that you are going on an amazing journey. This dining experience will alight all your senses. We appreciated the staff who help Chef do what he says. The description of each course was beautifully articulated by the staff along with a wonderful Sommelier who walked us through incredible wines. Simply perfect.

Very special place. We did the four course with wine pairing. The staff is very attentive. The food beautiful. If I had to choose the perfect meal I would pick the sea bream over the foie gras. It was sashimi style. The foie gras was albeit melt in your mouth, but the sea bream had way more exciting flavors. Definitely not the octopus...maybe the guinea fowl. Why? The octopus was recommended by the wait staff but I have had much better. Yes it was sous vide so the texture was good but the flavors were just ok. The lobster beat out the bass hands down. It was so rich, full of flavor and very interesting. The bass was meh. Yes it had fun foam but the overall impression was so so. For the final course the cheese wins. The tart was very good but the cheese selection was much more interesting. I loved our server, lovely lady from Columbia, and our sommelier was fun, informative and entertaining.

Went on Saturday, May 1, for a late dinner with the fiancé. We both agreed that this was one of the best dining experiences we've ever had. Even though we've both been many other Michelin star restaurants, including a few two and three-star ones, where the food was better, the service at Cuvée was so above and beyond that it really elevated the entire experience beyond that of even the finest restaurants we've dined at. Please note that for dinner, you can only do the 3 or 4 course prefixe or the chef's tasting menu. However, unlike many other fining dining places where the whole table has to get the same tasting menu, I was allowed to get the 3-course tasting menu while my fiancé chose the 4-course menu. I was also allowed to choose whichever three courses I want (3 savory courses) instead of being forced to choose dessert for my last course. Our evening started when we were greeted at the door by Jeff who we later learned was the owner of the Chatham Inn. Jeff was very friendly and led us to our table. The environment is very cozy and intimate and the whole dining room probably seats less than 30 people even at full capacity. Right after my fiancé and I ordered our cocktails, we were greeted with complimentary champagne (and it was the good, fancy kind too) and an amuse bouche. That was the first of many free things we got that night, most completely unprompted other than Jeff or our servers wanting to make our experience the best one possible. After we finished the first course, Jeff stopped by to ask us how everything was. I raved about the tuna and hiramasa dish - Jeff said that and the Spanish octopus were his favorite items on the menu. At this point, I was a bit bummed because I was torn between the scallop and octopus for the second course but ended up going with the scallops. I made a casual comment about how I kinda wish I went with the octopus but it wasn't really that big of a deal. 10 minutes later, Elena, our server, and Jeff dropped off two servings of the Spanish octopus, compliments of the chef, for my fiancé and I so that we can BOTH try full serving portions of the octopus that I casually remarked I wish I ordered. Chef Isaac Olivo even came out to explain the dish. I've never had anything happen like that to me, even on various birthday dinners, special occasion, or even my engagement dinner at other fancy restaurants. But apparently this above-and-beyond service might just be par for the course at Cuvee. Because an hour later, one of the waiters accidentally mistaken my cocktail for my water glass, and refilled (diluted) my cocktail with water. When he realized his mistake, he sent over a whole new drink. Considering that my drink was basically 80% finished when he refilled it, I definitely was not expecting that. Below were my notes on the food/drinks that we ordered: - Expresso Martini was very good, like a perfect combination of coffee ice cream and alcohol - Salty Sailor - I LOVED this drink (and this was the drink that I got an extra of which I happily drank down even though it was like my 4th drink of the night by that point). It was almost like a very herby, refreshing Moscow Mule - not at all what I expected since its ingredient list had salted karamel vodka and banana liqueur so I was expected something more creamy and rich. It was amazing and perfect for spring. - Ginny in the Mirror was also really good. I can actually taste the chamomile flavor which is rare since it's such a delicate tea flavor. The chamomile pairs really well with the bitterness and herbaceous notes of gin. Food standouts: - Tuna & hiramasa (1st course) were so balanced - I love the fattiness of the tuna and the decadence of the caviar - Spanish Octopus (2nd course) - YOU MUST ORDER THIS! It's so good that I almost cried tears of joy tasting it. The char on the outside gave it a really nice texture while the inside is perfectly cooked - it was so juicy and tender and perfect in every way! - House made spaghetti (2nd course) - fiancé insisted on ordering this and I was glad we did. It reminded me of the spring vegetables pasta I got at Le Bernadin a few weeks earlier but that dish was probably $50 more expensive. The pasta was really creamy and delicious with hints of tartness - Day boat sea scallops (2nd course) is accurate for the description because these perfectly cooked scallops tasted so fresh, it's like they were scoped out of the sea right into the kitchen - New England Lobster (3rd course) - this was probably my 7th lobster within 36 hours but definitely the best one yet! The texture was that just-cooked-tender that comes from butter poaching. The meyer lemon butter sauce was perfect - Hazelnut coffee custard (4th course) was divine. The crumble with the coffee pudding and mascarpone ice cream was a perfect bite of dessert. If you're looking for fining dining or a meal to splurge while you're on Cape Cod, you MUST come to Cuvee! The food was great but the service was amazing!

Really disappointed in the service I received while dining here with my fiancé. Our waiter clearly didn't see us as important guests among the other older couples eating dinner and completely disregarded us throughout the entire evening. After being seated, he came over 15 minutes later to greet us. Ok - no problem here, I was a server for years and understand things get busy and we weren't in a rush. We ordered a bottle of Chardonnay and then didn't see our waiter at all after. 35 minutes (YES 35 minutes to get a bottle of wine) later a food runner brought us our wine and we watched our waiter speak to the tables around us and eventually I flagged him over and asked him if we could order dinner, now having been at the restaurant for an hour. He said sure and put our order in and we didn't see him again until we had to ask him for the check an hour after that. Now onto the food: We ordered the crab gazpacho as an appetizer. It was a strawberry basil gazpacho with "fresh lump crab meat". This was hands down one of the grossest things I've ever eaten. It tasted like a strawberry daiquiri and canned crab meat dumped in. Really sweet and the crab was salted and caused a very confusing taste. For our entrees we had the burger and the crab cake. Both were delicious, the burger had a bacon jam on it and the crab cake came with two very lovely accompanying sauces: one spicy and one that tasted like jam. Overall, I would never return here due to the service. The liquor prices were over 50% marked up (Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc retails for $11.99-13.99 but they offer it for $29), and the food wasn't worth coming back for.

My boyfriend and I were in Chatham for the night while on vacation and we are so happy that a friend recommended Cuvée! We had such an amazing time, and I am counting the days until I can go back. The room where we dined was so cozy and intimate. They even had a fireplace that they light in the fall/winter season (perfect for a holiday dinner or date night). The service was so knowledgeable and friendly. The food I could rave on and on about. I loved the octopus. I am usually not a huge fan but the tenderness and flavor of the meat made it one of my favorite dishes that evening. Another delicious runner up was the A5 Wagyu which my boyfriend ordered. The steak literally melted in your mouth. I ordered the lobster which was a great pairing with the steak. The presentation of the s'mores dessert was so beautiful. It tasted exactly like a s'more but in the most sophisticated way. When you get your dessert don't forget to add on the espresso martini! Thank you Cuvée for an unforgettable dinner!

The interior is pretty basic, small tables and small chairs, so a person of substance such as myself didn't find the seating comfortable. I tried: - French onion soup: this should have been an easy win. I found the Gruyere cheese to be overly thick, and the broth to be heavy handed on the wine. - Steak tartare: this was a good dish. The beef was thin cut, smooth, and the egg was cooked just right so the yolk added richness that then got offset by the capers. Due to the richness, you may actually find that this could be all you need for a meal, despite it looking small. - Croque Madame: le sigh, what a failure this sandwich was. Over easy egg? Not today, over medium, so not much runny yolk but a thicker one. This is a gigantic salt bomb, in addition. They serve your water in tiny glasses and every bite led to downing an entire glass of water.
