Start to finish, one of the best meals I have ever enjoyed. As others have said, you'll want reservations during the summer season. We dined outdoors in the early July evening, and the atmosphere was perfect. Our server struck the perfect balance between friendly/casual and attentive. Spinnaker offers some fun cocktails, and a tight and focused wine list. A Greek salad (different, with a creamy dressing) was a nice, fresh starter. The bolognese was practically life-changing, and also a balm for my pasta soul, coming a few weeks after a very disappointing carbonara. I'd have a hard time ordering anything else on a return visit, though there are so many tempting items on this menu. The short ribs were also a standout here, with a variation from the typical takes. And then there was the bread pudding. Again, practically life-changing. Do not skip this dessert. We do not live anywhere near the Cape, but if we're ever back, I'll certainly make a return visit a priority. Just wow. read more

What a cute little spot! Despite being around for many years, this was the first time my family and I visited. The service was warm and welcoming, and we had an overall delicious meal. Standout dishes were the bolognese and the caramel bread pudding. The chickpea fritters were also excellent, and a special shoutout to the fresh complimentary bread served with olive oil; it was a great way to start. The Caesar salad was good, but nothing particularly memorable. We visited to celebrate my mom's birthday. They added a candle to the dessert we ordered, which was a nice touch, but there wasn't much additional acknowledgment of the occasion. This is one of my Wife's favorite places we have ever been to. We went here when visiting in 2022. My Wife typically gets bolognese or carbonara whenever we go to restaurants that have either of those dishes. She says Spinnaker has the best bolognese she has ever had. Which, the menu states it is cooked for an extensive amount of time, which probably adds the depth of flavor. I recall my dish being very good as well. Spinnaker is an utterly charming restaurant. It's a beautiful, cozy, light-filled house turned restaurant, with lovely decor and the warmest, kindest, staff. It's certainly a Cape Cod experience to try once. My only complaint, and it's a rather serious one, is that the food is terribly mediocre, but priced as if the chef had earned a Michelin star. It's as if my parents, who are well-meaning but have little culinary talent, had decided to open a restaurant on a lark. I ordered lamb chops, which were adorned with nothing more than some dry oregano over a small assortment of vegetable, for something like $60. It was the same for my wife's chicken, which sat in a pool of brown broth and a few potatoes, both pictured below. I can only hope the main chef was out of town, but I just don't see how this comes close to anyone's culinary expectations on the Cape. read more

Our meal at Spinnaker in Brewster could scarcely have been better. This may have been the best meal we've had on the Cape this year. We started with two glasses of Belcanto Rosé Prosecco and the crispy Brussels sprouts tossed with Greek feta, sesame seeds, and a touch of pomegranate molasses. We ordered a smooth bottle of Barolo and shared the salad of roasted, marinated beets; local Great Hill blue cheese; toasted pecans; pickled shallots; artisanal lettuces; crispy prosciutto bits; and a touch of lemon juice and EVOO. We shared two entrées: the exotic mushroom mélange of porcini, shiitake, and oyster mushrooms with roasted squash tossed with handmade fresh tagliatelle, topped with arugula, soft stracciatella, and a dash of Parmigiano; and the day-boat seafood catch of clams, codfish, and shrimp with homemade spaghetti in garlic, tomatoes, and white wine. For dessert, we shared the salted caramel brioche bread pudding--warm and sweet--with a generous scoop of decadent vanilla gelato. Everything was just about perfect in seasoning, texture, and flavor. I gotta say, Spinnaker really exceeded my expectations. For the $$$$$, this is definitely a treat-yourself place but there were some incredible stand-outs. Get the bolognese. Of the four entrees we got, it was definitely the crowd favorite. We also got the dayboat pasta with scallops, clams, and shrimp; the short rib; and the roasted halibut. Of all the dishes, I would definitely order the bolognese and the dayboat pasta again. The halibut was fine - a nice piece of fish but imo, something I could probably make at home for cheaper. The short rib was a little bland but I LOVED the grilled lettuce, fried tomato, and pickled onions that came with. The two appetizers were also stellar. Chef's Rob's meatballs were insanely tender, and "the most delicious Caesar salad" lived up to its title, so much so that I wish I had gotten my own plate instead of one for the table to share. (I had some great salads this trip.) Definitely save room for the bread pudding for dessert. I'm a fiend for bread pudding and this was one of the best iterations I've ever had, with beautiful crispy edges and soft, decadent innards, topped with vanilla gelato. Spinnaker has a lovely ambiance, in a historical Cape house with romantic backyard seating (perfect for pups!). The service was kind and attentive, even bringing out a water bowl for the dogs, but not over the top. Definitely on my bookmarked list of places to return to. read more

The chicken was beautifully breaded, extra crispy served with Burrata cheese with grape tomatoes. So unexpectedly good. Portion was huge. Highly recommend a reservation this place is super super popular and hard to get into. If you get a table take it. The patio is romantic and intimate. Just another fabulous night at Spinnaker. Wonderful, friendly and efficient service. Delicious food and perfect wine options. We started with the Pomegranate fattoush salad which was lively and really tasty. My wife had the crispy skin salmon which she really enjoyed. I had the bolognese which was rich and very flavorful. One of our other diners had the chicken which she loved. They had carrot cake and we shared the bread pudding, both of which were yummy. Wine pours were generous. Excellent!! We had the pleasure of dining at Spinnaker on a Saturday night. The setting in an updated house that has all the charm and elegance you have been looking for on Cape. We were charmed by the quaintness of the outdoor seating and each room serving guests. Trendy and modern yet cozy and quaint! We ordered drinks and they served crusty bread and oil to start. We had the Caesar salad that was delicious. We loved the flavor and uniqueness of the salad and would definitely order again. Entrees we had the halibut which included mashed yukon and a delicious mix of zucchini, corn, tomato, and the short ribs that also had a delicious accompanying mashed. Dessert was a tough decision but we went with the strawberry cake with meringue. We are glad we did!! I wish I ordered a coffee but that's on me! Service was on point the entire dining experience. After a wonderful meal last year at Spinnaker, we returned this year, and I wanted to update my review. While the food was still exceptional, I am dropping my rating to 4 stars based on value. This is an expensive venue, we knew that going in but this year I felt that the prices were excessive. There were no entrees less than $40, and that included my Pasta a la Norma (Vegetarian). Was it delicious? Yes it was, but it is hard to justify spending $40 for 4 small fried pieces of eggplant served with pasta and sauce. To my thinking the plate was not appropriately priced. You will have to decide if the experience is worth the cost. Food was good as last visit, but prices just not fair any longer. read more

This was my favorite restaurant during our weeklong vacation while visiting the area. From the service to the amazing meals and cocktails, this restaurant really set the bar high for an amazing experience! We ordered a few apps that were delicious. Brussel sprouts, arancini balls, some kind of ham toastie. All tasted good! The tastes like summer cocktail is what I ordered and it's light and refreshing. I recommend this drink! For the main dish, I had the beef ragu pasta ($40) and it was sooo good, rich and thick creamy in flavor! Great portion size. Others in my party had the fish, braised short ribs, and lemon pasta with baby shrimp. We all enjoyed out meals. For dessert, we got the pineapple cheesecake ($18) which was so delicious! We also got the lemon cake which was super refreshing and sweet. Sort of had some limoncello flavor to it but not sure if there was any alcohol in it. I enjoyed both of the desserts. Wow! Spinnaker is truly hard to beat! Had a wonderful Father's Day dinner here with my wife and in-laws in the front room. We started with Chef Rob's Meatballs; they did not disappoint! Food was good, wine list is nice BUT I think this place is struggling for consistency. The portions we received for the price make no sense, it felt like we were being ridiculously over charged. I don't think we would go back because of this. In reading all the 5 star reviews and then seeing reviews like mine I wonder if they have a staff member issue in the kitchen. I am finally taking the time to add my review of Spinnaker. Right from the start Andrea the co-owner is the most accommodating, friendly and upbeat person you will ever meet. She is always willing to fit my wife and I in and always welcomes us like family to the restaurant. The service is stellar, a great group of professional team members that treat all patrons like royalty. The atmosphere is quaint and very comfortable. Very good sound levels and no bad tables. Rob, co-owner and chef is as good as you will ever find on the cape. The food is consistently excellent and you can tell he takes pride in every meal that leaves the kitchen. Rob and Andrea have a background in food preparations with roots in the North End of Boston as well as Italy. The menu is not extensive but every meal is of the highest quality. Spinnaker's is a true gem in Brewster. We had reservations and arrived a bit early and were seated immediately. Dinner service was relaxed and we never felt rushed. The Gorgonzola Stuffed dates wrapped in bacon and served with an Apple Syrup was scrumptious, we could have eaten them all night long. They were sweet, savory and had a bite to them with the Gorgonzola cheese, really a perfect bite. The Scallops were served with a creamy avocado cream and a fresh corn and tomato salad. The scallops had a nice sear on the outside and were buttery and creamy in the center. The gnocchi with a vegetable ragu was delicious. The vegetable ragu gave the texture of meat, without it being meat. It was rich and full of flavor and the gnocchi were nice and light. This review is long overdue! Spinnaker is our favorite. To start, the Bolognese is to die for. I always say I am going to try something else but I can't help myself. During COVID we felt very safe and the staff took precautions seriously. Eating under heat lamps in the garden was lovely. We also recently tried the pumpkin cheesecake and bread pudding which I am dream about. I can't believe I don't have a recent picture to post because I know I have captured many. Possibly the best meal I've had on the Cape. My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this place after visiting the Brewster Flats, and we were pleasantly surprised. We shared a salad, crispy Brussels sprouts, and salmon, and each course was delicious. I wish their wine selection were slightly better, and the vibe is a little too Cape conservative for my taste, but this might have more to do with the clientele than anything. We stayed one night at the Spinnaker tucked away in charming Brewster, Mass. Andrea is the most gracious and lovely host, and she has infused her love and spirit into this place. Our room was upstairs above the main dining area - bright, charming, comfortably furnished, very cozy. If you need anything, she encourages you to text or call. She was very responsive and attentive without being intrusive. In the morning, there is a delicious breakfast served on the patio - fresh whole yogurt with walnuts and honey, blueberry whole grain flax pancakes, sliced watermelon, cherries.
