Awesome lunch with top notch service!
    Richard S.

We have always asked, if we're not golfers, why would we go to a golf course grill? Having lunch at Freeman's Grill answered our question- great food, great service and a great atmosphere In two dimensions! Inside is a wonderful sports pub ambience while outside has beautiful views of the Captains courses. We shared an appetizer of calamari with a spectacular assortment of peppers, tomatoes and arugula that is over the top. My wife had the club with a generous helping of house sliced turkey, bacon and dressed for the prom! I had the wagyu Kobe beef smash burger on a kick ass fresh brioche bun and dressed for the Emperor! And, the staff was simply awesome! Attentive, cheerful, accommodating and professional, Five Stars! Can't wait to return to try something different from a well balanced and attractive menu! Someday we'll be old enough for a walk in the woods chasing a ball; but, until then, we'll be happy dining and enjoying a few beverages at Freeman's Grill!

If you are in the Cape, you must carve time out of your agenda to stop by this gem in Brewster! The staff and owner will make you feel at home and the food is outstanding. We stopped by for breakfast and were not disappointed. The breakfast sandwich is the best I have ever had and the menu options are worth multiple trips. The wagyu smash burger was also one of the best burgers I've ever had. If you get the chance to meet the manager, Sam O'Connor he will absolutely go out of his way to make your experience one of the best ever. Highly highly recommend!

Suggested we try this place for lunch as somewhere new to us. Seat yourself and someone (in our case the bartender) will greet you shortly. Hmm, two Saturdays in a row we had bloody Mary's. They were tasty. We shared two appetizers, chicken wings and the quesadilla, which was more than enough for lunch and finger-licking good. Enjoyed watching The Open playing on all the screens. Lots of golfers coming in to enjoy the 19th hole. Next time an earlier visit as the breakfast sandwiches sound really good.

Fantastic dinner experience at Freemans Grill. Our server Max was friendly & informative on the specials and his recommendations did not disappoint. The halibut served over lobster risotto with grilled asparagus was outstanding. The smash burger with side salad was a healthy option & delicious. The pastrami sandwich was lean & tasty. A small unpretentious restaurant located at the Captains golf course is well worth a visit.

I didn't realize it was part of a golf club. Guy at the grill was super nice. Very welcoming with the breakfast sandwich, wasn't full menu but still pretty good. Simple.

The food is amazing! The staff couldn't get any nicer. Asked them what their favorite dish is. Great selection and Country club atmosphere.

We dined outdoors in the early July evening, and the atmosphere was perfect. Our server struck the perfect balance between friendly/casual and attentive. Spinnaker offers some fun cocktails, and a tight and focused wine list. A Greek salad (different, with a creamy dressing) was a nice, fresh starter. The bolognese was practically life-changing, and also a balm for my pasta soul, coming a few weeks after a very disappointing carbonara. I'd have a hard time ordering anything else on a return visit, though there are so many tempting items on this menu. The short ribs were also a standout here, with a variation from the typical takes. And then there was the bread pudding. Again, practically life-changing. Do not skip this dessert. We do not live anywhere near the Cape, but if we're ever back, I'll certainly make a return visit a priority. Just wow.

Standout dishes were the bolognese and the caramel bread pudding. The chickpea fritters were also excellent, and a special shoutout to the fresh complimentary bread served with olive oil; it was a great way to start. The Caesar salad was good, but nothing particularly memorable. We visited to celebrate my mom's birthday. They added a candle to the dessert we ordered, which was a nice touch, but there wasn't much additional acknowledgment of the occasion. If you're looking for a restaurant that goes above and beyond for special celebrations, this may not be the best choice.

Mine was the bRaised Short Ribs over garlic mashed with fresh green beans (undercooked, but okay by me). Dave had the Scallop & Butternut Squash casserole. He did not like the balsamic glaze on top but ate around it and cleaned the plate. My short ribs were fork tender and the gravy was superb. I took half home and will be my lunch in a few minutes! No desserts as we were like overstuffed sausages when we left. Very nice place for a good meal with great staff, attention to detail and patrons needs. I never had to ask for anything...Ruby knew what was needed and brought it without delay. WE will most definitely be back!

I also love that there's both a full dining room and a separate bar area, so whether you're grabbing a quick lunch or sitting down with family, it fits the occasion. We started on the bar side, which was extremely busy and we couldn't find a seat for about 30 minutes. The only downside is that seating is first come, first serve, so you end up hovering around tables waiting for people to leave, which wasn't ideal. We eventually got frustrated and went next door. Even though they're separate, the bar and restaurant are connected, so you can easily walk between the two. We ended up having an amazing meal at the restaurant side, so it was definitely worth switching over. I highly recommend the lobster roll. I'm giving 4 stars mainly because of the experience on the bar side.

It was a nice time to visit, relaxed and not too crowded. We ordered a Caesar salad, steak tips, fried seafood platter (fresh cod, scallops, and clams with fries and coleslaw), clam chowder, and a kids' grilled cheese. Overall, the fried seafood platter was the standout and definitely the best way to sample a bit of everything. The fish, scallops, and clams were all fresh and nicely fried, and the portion was generous. The steak tips were also solid, tender and well-seasoned. The clam chowder was decent, though not especially memorable. The kids' grilled cheese was a bit overdone on the outside and came out slightly burnt, but otherwise was fine for a simple kid's meal. Service was friendly, and the atmosphere had that classic Cape Cod waterfront feel that makes it an easy, casual dining spot. We did notice quite a few tables ordering the lobster roll, which we'll probably try next time we visit since it seemed to be one of the more popular items. Overall, Brax Landing Restaurant is a solid, casual seafood spot with good variety, worth a visit, especially for the fried seafood platter.
