I'm so glad we finally made it to the Conference Table! We arrived last Friday about 7pm and the host let us choose between two available tables for 4 people. After our nice waitress took our drink orders, the bartender appeared at our table with wine bottles and gave us generous pours. For dinner we had chicken piccata over pasta, 2 baked scrods (1 GF), and sirloin tips over mashed potatoes with string beans. The food arrived hot and the portions were very good. Our meals were delicious and we "cleaned our plates." The noise level was fine and we had no issues with hearing conversation. Next time we'll try a Thursday night with live music. read more

Yup. This just happened. It town, on vacation, popped in for one drink so my friend could check it out. Got there a little past 9, they close at 10. No hello or hi from host, "kitchen is closed". Go to bar, quiet, but around 10 ppl there. We say we're there for one drink and if looks could, holy hell. If you go here, good luck. Management should be ashamed. We arent from the area and needed to find some dinner. We used the recommendations from Yelp and were not disappointed. The place was comfortable with a choice of low or high top tables and bar seats. I guess they had outdoor seating in better weather. Although they didn't have beer on tap, they had my husband's favorite Sam Addams. I had one of the best BLTs ever. It was better than average because there was plenty of bacon, good green lettuce and a tasty tomato. The perfect combo. My husband had delicious fish and chips. I had sweet potato fries which were so yummy I took the leftovers home. The service was great. I think every server working there either checked on us , delivered something or just said Hello. This is our go to lunch spot when we are up near that area shopping. I always like to try the daily specials & hubby likes the cheeseburger. The service & food is great & there is a bar at the back of the restaurant with an awesome bartender & TV to catch a game that day. Stumbled upon this restaurant/bar on a Saturday night. Five people no ressie. Small but appealing. Nice bar area and lots of beer! Owner greeted us and looked around and told us looks like 30 minutes. We agreed because the place really looked good. Not even 5 minutes and he showed us to a high top table with an extra chair...Fine with us! Waitress very pleasant took drink order right away. The menu was typical bar food with a few specials for the night, Pub steak was one and I ordered it...it was VERY GOOD! Others had chili and wings all good. Came to this place two nights in a row. First night enticed by the lobsta roll. Unfortunately they had run out. Had the clam chowder, a Quahog and the salmon. All delicious. Continuing my solo culinary explorations, I dined last night (Wed) for the first time at The Conference Table (205 Worcester Ct, 8B, Falmouth). I've seen numerous FB posts from The Conference Table announcing various sorts of nightly specials. The regular menu seems rather standard, but the posted specials were intriguing enough to motivate a visit on a rainy evening. The restaurant in much more spacious on the inside than it would appear from the entrance in this mini strip mall. It's roomy, with a long bar, and sleek furnishings. I arrived just before 6 and there were a number of patrons already finishing up dinner and drinks. Sitting at the bar I was immediately greeted by one of the bartenders--Peggy--who quickly took a drink order. The bar has a really comfortable and friendly feel to it as most of the folks at the bar seemed to know each other as well as Peggy. That level of engagement is always a good sign and it wasn't long before we were all talking. I ordered off the special menu--to start a butternut squash and apple bisque and for my main the fried chicken thighs (boneless) with an apple slaw, white rice, and a mild curry sauce on the bottom of the plate. The bisque was a creamy tribute to autumn in New England with just the right balance between the two main ingredients. It might have benefitted from some textural variety (e.g., roasted pepitas or crushed hazelnuts), but it was still very tasty. The fried chicken dish was delicious. The chicken was super crispy on the outside and moist on the inside; the slaw (without any mayo--which I prefer) was refreshing, providing a nice contrast to the richness of the fried chicken. The curry tasted like curry but had a rather low flavor profile, it might have benefitted from some added spice/heat but everyone doesn't like it spicy. I get that. Prior to my main dish arriving Peggy refreshed my bourbon highball with a rather heavy pour which was certainly appreciated. By the time I finished my meal new patrons had arrived at the bar, also regulars stopping by for a drink and a meal. Very friendly folks who were easily engaged in conversation. Over-all the food was quite good as were my two highballs. But an equally compelling reason to visit The Conference Table is to relax with the regulars at a community bar. I'm not sure that The Conference Table is "The Cheers" of Falmouth, but it might or certainly could be. read more

NOTE: I just read the other reviews and am updating my review. I understand it is new ownership so take anything older than a year with a grain of salt because I don't think its the same people or food or even atmosphere. The food was very good - but that is not the only reason why you come to Conference Table - its the people. I firmly believe that what sets apart the good from the great is the overall experience. Amazing that you can have great food in a sterile environment and your reaction is mhmmm. At Conference Table they make you feel so welcome and they really care that you are happy. Our waitress was awesome and like I said the food was very good. The think that blew me away was I asked about the Turkey and the owner said - hold on let me get you a piece. I thought he was being "Durgin Park Sarcastic" and placed my order anyway. A few minutes later the owner appeared with a piece of turkey for me to sample. He actually told the waitress to hold the order until I had a chance to sample it. Wow - they care that much about my experience there. The investment they are making in the place shows and I fully expect Conference Table to not remain a hidden gem long - I expect soon I will have to wait in line to get a table. read more

This is a great, off the beaten path spot that we have enjoyed many times since the new owners took control. Great spot in Falmouth. Was staying at Autocamp Cape Cod and went here for lunch. Best chowder and stuffed clams on the Cape. Everything we ordered was excellent. Service was top notch. Bloody Mary was excellent. Will definitely be back again. Ask for the fried Oreo for dessert. read more

Since Falmouth is my home away from Providence, I am starting to develop a nice list of go-to places on the Cape. This place is on the list! The Conference Table is your typical dive sports bar joint. Fried apps, cheap beer, dated decor. What I like best about it is that it's kind of a family pub, so you can just roll in and grab something to eat after a long day. The food is ALWAYS yummy...fried monterey jack cheese sticks? Yup, I'm in. The bar seems to be busy with the game on, but usually I am here piling into a booth. The service is always friendly and attentive- I've never had to look for a server. We live in the neighborhood and my husband and I have been coming here for years. Great home cooking-style place. Comprehensive menu from sandwiches, to pizza and nightly special (fried clams, stuffed sole, eggplant parm). Drinks are generous and Very reasonable. So if you want to skip the Cape Cod hype and just have a good meal (bring the kids plus there's Keno for those who are interested) at a very reasonable price, check it out. Start with the positives. The service was nice, friendly, and fast. Now for the bad. The food was deplorable. I ordered pizza and what I got was clearly a store bought frozen pizza. And not even a good one either. The wife ordered Shrimp Scampi. The portion was generous but lacked any flavor. None. Zero. Nothing. I even tasted it myself because I thought she was kidding. Wow. Boiled shrimp on top of boiled and drained pasta. A few veggies like green peppers. But no garlic or anything Italian. The beer choices were pretty limited too. The high end beer was Bud Light. Went in to see a friend and it was the basically the same as it was 10 years ago,except the staff was friendlier this time. Drinks were okay ,it was okay for keno. It had a friendly crowd. But most of the crowd was pushing late 50's early 70's with a guy in a Hawaiian shirt playing songs from the fifties to early Eighty . Place got pretty dead by 10 ,10:30. It was nothing that great. I went in for a prime rib last friday. Every mouthful had gristle and i had to spit it out after each bite. . I sent it back and asked for a steak instead. The steak was worse than the prime rib. Fatty, chewy, nasty. Absolutely the worst restaurant for red meat. I had the same experience years back, it was horrible, but i heard it was good now. WRONG! its the same inedible high-priced slop. And an owner who could care less. read more
