Our Midweek afternoon lunch on the veranda of The Flying Bridge, over looking the marina, was a highlight of our 4 weeks spent off season in the lovely town of Falmouth Mass. Stuffed Clams are homemade & delicious, chock full of chopped quahogs & seasoned breading. Two diners in our group had the fresh fried fish sandwich made with beautiful cod -impeccably fried, & I was the land-lover, with the fat juicy grilled angus burger that was shamefully inhaled along with its fries. Most desserts are of the homemade variety including Richardson's Ice Cream - a real treat. We chose the pistachio & could have licked the bowl. Service friendly & professional. This place has really come alive (again) over the past couple of years. The food is very good. The views of the harbor are beautiful. Two really wonderful bars. The weddings have come roaring back. You see tuxes and dresses hanging from the rafters every weekend with the bride and groom frequently on a boat ride for photos. Went with a few friends on the 3rd of July and it was packed! We waited about an hour and a half for a table (30 mins longer than expected) but we knew that would be the case. We grabbed a drink at the outdoor bar and waited. The restaurant itself and outdoor area is right on the water. If we had to wait, at least we had a view and a cocktail! We ordered a few sushi rolls and dockside (fried haddock) sandwich and it did not disappoint ! The food was very fresh and came out quickly which we appreciated after waiting. I will say the restaurant itself was chaotic with how busy it was but it was a holiday weekend. If you are looking for fresh seafood in Falmouth, I would give it a try. read more

We were staying in Hyannis for a couple of days and drove over to this restaurant for dinner on Friday. It is in a beautiful location next to the marina. The restaurant has plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. We opted for one of the outdoor tables within the plastic enclosure. It was perfect and had a nice view of the boats. The menu is extensive with plenty of appetizers, salads, handhelds, entrees, and sushi options. I started with a cup of the clam chowder soup and it was very hot and tasty. For my entree I had the pan seared haddock. It came with lobster ravioli, oyster mushrooms, and green beans with a lobster bisque sauce. It was a beautiful and tasty dish. My husband had the fried fisherman's platter. It had Cod, shrimp, scallops, and clams, as well as french fries and coleslaw. It was a very generous and delicious dish. We visit more than once a season and was disappointed yesterday with the service. Our waitress seemed to think she was working at Denny's or something, not a restaurant with $40.00 entrees. Skills needed were absent. To make it worse, it was a birthday event and while the wait staff "generously " sang happy birthday, the one piece of cake brought to the table was $15.00 and not complementary. A party of five with drinks and apps and no cake slice for a birthday on the house? Someone is missing the big picture, and we've got long memories. Will hit another location next time. read more

We had a late lunch here that encompassed impeccable service and delicious food. I had a fish sandwich that had cheddar, avocado, lettuce & tomato with perfectly crisped fries, my husband the fish & chips. Adult kiddos, burgers, and another fish sandwich all great. We shared a massive plate of perfect onion rings to start. I had a raspberry limoncello spritzer that was refreshing. We were too full for dessert. Where to start.. I ordered the spicy crabby & cucumber salad & it was not only a huge portions but it was the best I've ever had! Seriously, if you follow me, you know that is a compliment! My drink was a dirty martini & it was a heavy pour & a decent drink. Again, not the best but very good. For the entree I wanted to order the sushi pizza.. yea you heard it right, I wouldn't have even considered it but by neighboring table got it & it looked FANTASTIC. However, I was away from home & did not want leftovers so I ordered the special sushi roll Crimson Tide & added Jalapeños. The Jalapeños were fresh & crispy, but did not lend any additional heat. I am a sushi snob, so it was not the best I've ever had, but it was decent. For most it would be good. The menu changes regularly, which was a little disappointing. It was different online, vs on Yelp vs in person & the prices were about $10 more than listed online, but overall, it wasn't a bad experience. I would recommend checking them out, just know it won't be cheap. I originally wanted the seared Tuna, but when I got here, it was halibut & it was $36 vs $22. I will include pics of the menu, but like I said, it's subject to change. OK, take this with a grain of salt. I would probably have made it a 4 vs 3 so I'm on the fence. Regan, my server explained that the additional $6 added to my $12 martini was not because it was a dirty martini, but because it was up vs on the rocks, so it was a bigger pour. On 8/8/26 4 of us were served byTajay W. Tajay rudely stated "I'll give you one more minute to decide on entries", and he wasn't kidding or polite. When we asked for condiments, he rolled his eyes. We got the $306 bill on a tablet suggesting as much as $60 tip... He stood there watched me decide to custom tip $30. He literally leaned over the table ad i wad typing the tip and twice raised his voice saying "Hey, that's a $300 bill". TWICE! I said that I knew. HE LITERALLY STAMPED HIS FOOT, WALKED AWAY, MUTTERING. I always over tip and can't even recall having to give a 10% tip. This guy, acted absolutely entitled as to who am I to not pay him for that behavior. THAT means this is how he operates with your patrons... For me, without doubt, I would give no second chance. It's sad to write this, as I've been coming here since I was young, but unfortunately, it's just not the same place it was 15-20 years ago. The service and food have both gone downhill, and at this point, the location seems to be the only thing it still has going for it. Both the indoor and outdoor areas are consistently crowded and loud, regardless of the time of day. This has gotten substantially worse since the building was expanded, and it now feels like they seat far more people than the space can comfortably accommodate. My most recent visit will unfortunately be my last. I ordered a meal that I did not like and barely touched, yet it was still left on the bill. After years of coming here and having so many good memories of what this place used to be, it's disappointing to see how much the overall experience has declined. read more

I stopped in here after the cape cod half marathon and thought it would be packed but it was one of the only restaurants in town that wasn't and I don't know why! The view of the marina it was next to was gorgeous, we sat out on the patio and enjoyed the ocean. The service was great very quick and good at catering to our party's seafood allergy. We got onion rings as an appetizer and the portion was HUGE our table of 7 had a hard time finishing it and they were good, heavily battered in a good way and nice and crunchy without the breading flaking off. I also got the kitchen sink sushi roll and it was jam packed with flavors and toppings. I really liked the roe and charred salmon ontop it was full of texture and you definitely got your fill on every fish option available on the cape. Would probably be my go to order when I go again-but definitely not the light meal sushi normally is! read more

The flying Bridge is a local favorite. And for good reason. I've mostly had experience eating at the bar. And always find the service there very good with the regular friendly and experienced crew of bartenders. The few times I ate at a table, my experience wasn't as good. As service is a bit inconsistent with wait staff. The menu has a lot of options, especially with seafood fried, broiled or blackened. Very nice sushi menu. Lots of specialty drink options and desserts. The manager is attentive and the restaurant runs like an well oiled machine, even in the summer with the outdoor areas, menu and music. They have good weekly specials for appetizers, entrées, sushi, drinks, and desserts. Food is delivered by your server, or by other wait staff when it's hot and ready. read more

This is our first time in cape cod and we decided to come here for dinner and I have to say our experience was amazing! The food was absolutely delicious! My boyfriend ordered the haddock dinner which was so delicious! I ordered the rigatoni vodka sauce with shrimp and I have to say it was delicious as well! We sat outside and the view was amazing! When you up to hostess desk there 2 young woman that look less enthusiastic and you feel bad asking them to seat you. One woman sat me at the opening of the kitchen door, the noise was so bad I went back to ask for another seat less noisy because I am hard of hearing and with the noise won't be able to have a conversation with anyone. So she said take your menus and sit where you want! Then I ordered a Martini and there was a lint ball floating in my drink sent that back. I ordered the sword fish and my Husband the scallop special, swordfish was over cooked along with the scallops and the mash potatoes tasted as if they sat around all day. This place is mostly a winner. It's huge and can turn out food quickly. It's got a gorgeous outside patio and bar (and HUGE) so we enjoyed one of those evenings in the summer when you want it to last. And many of the dishes we had were really good. I loved my whole belly clams; they tasted fresh, weren't too greasy fried, and weren't too pungent as some can be. The fries were forgettable; basically the frozen kind you see when places serve a lot of them. The warm lobster rolls were expensive ($40!!) but were quite good as well but for $40 you could do a little better than a bag of Cape Cod chips for a side. We also loved the Flying Bridge sushi rolls with lobster, shrimp and a good wrap. The drinks were a mixed bag. The passion fruit margarita seemed to be missing, well, passion fruit. The pineapple old fashioned seemed to taste, well, non-pineapple. We had better luck with the pina colada. Our server was also just ok. He didn't clear plates, took forever to check on us and refill water, and overall just lacked that certain care that you'd like waitstaff to have. Next time, we would definitely order Onion Rings and yes, we will definitely be back. A bit touristy? Sure. But we're enjoying a trip up here -- pamper us. read more

I won't be back. I specifically asked if the lobster roll could be made warm with butter instead of lobster salad with mayonnaise. The server told me no, so I settled for a mediocre steak tips dish. While eating, I watched the table next to us receive exactly what I had requested--two warm, buttered lobster rolls. When I asked about it, I got one excuse about the kitchen being too busy to ask the chef, followed by another explanation that didn't make any sense. If you can accommodate a request, be honest. If you can't, that's fine--but don't tell a customer it's impossible when you're serving the exact item to the table next to them. Poor service, poor communication, and a disappointing meal. Nice place to by the water to stop by for some fresh seafood. They have an indoor and outdoor seating with a bar in each area. We started off with the calamari which was nicely fried and tasted like fresh unfrozen calamari. Then we had the seafood platter. The scallops were juicy and sweets. The cod was a nice thick piece. Have gone to the Flying Bridge many times and always had a great experience until last weekend. Meal was fantastic as usual, but our server, Tajay was not. Showed up 15 minutes after we were seated. Never asked us if we wanted a 2nd drink. Never came back after the meal was served. Had to ask the other server to find him. When he finally showed my wife asked him where he'd been. He said he was helping out in back, whatever that meant. After some conversation he said he has been working there 11yrs. OMG! He was pretty prompt with the check tho as he hovered over us as we keyed it in (electronic). He ruined the experience for that day. read more

A Memory Maker! My wife and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at The Flying Bridge on October 19, 2025 and it couldn't have been any better! Mike, the coordinator was friendly, flexible and communicated everything we needed to know. The venue has been renovated and just sparkled, with new furniture, spectacular views of the marina and a pleasant, hard working crew. Food to rave about. Great bartender. And the charges were quite reasonable, no nickel and dime extras. It made for a memorable event. Loved everything about the place and people. read more

the worst seafood plate i ever had, my son got sick before we even left the restaurant. the clams were completely aweful, they were tiny and hard, the fish, scalop and shrimp were far from fresh. Most likely frozen , had no taste whatso ever. Not at all what you would expect on Cape Cod! read more
