Asti was still known as Estia when we were here a few years ago. Some overlap with another business required them to change their name at some point since then, but we enjoyed the same great food and service this time too. It is on W. Main St in Falmouth on the first stretch off of Locust St, which is the Falmouth town name for the road to Woods Hole. There is street parking and a little lot alongside and behind it, though have never found space there. The Greek food is the best I have had since my years growing up in CT. We always have a good time and this summer we were able to get patio seats out front. It's cavernous inside and good for bad weather and large parties. We have eaten inside on other trips when it was colder or rainy. It's fine and comfortable seating and a bit roomier between tables. There are booths inside too. We ate dinner here the night we arrived and again the night before we left. It has become our tradition now. Both nights, we had excellent service and excellent food. We did have the exact same dessert both nights since we had liked it so well the first night and we didn't see anything more balanced for both of our tastes. And their desserts are large enough to share. We had a variety of appetizer items for a smaller meal the first night, tired from having driven from Hartford, via Narragansett, for a stop to see friends. It is the long way to the Cape from Hartford, but seeing our friends was worth it as they have never travelled to CO. The second night we chose larger individual plates based on the items we tried the first night and had another great meal. One of the plates was their enormous version of spanakopita and the other was a large plate of the lamb "lollipops," glorified yummy grilled lamb skewers. We had drinks too. All in all it was truly the quality of food we have come to expect from them. It is family owned and a very polished operation with a vibrant bar inside. All ages were represented in the customer base and I understand that the locals love it too, but they mostly attend off season. It and all of Falmouth was mobbed the week we were there, just before the annual Falmouth Road Race. read more

I'd been before, but not for awhile. We were four around one on a Saturday. We chose it for a change and I liked that it looked easy to enter. I need a cane. I was disappointed to see two large flowerpots blocking the hand rails. The decor is very nice. There are good chairs and good spacing. Two outside terraces are attractive and safe from the street. My husband loved his swordfish special. I enjoyed my fig ravioli. It could have used more prosciutto. The pizza was deemed so so. And the shrimp skewers good enough. I thought the prices were high.. service was very slow, but not the waiters fault. He was nice. Any wow factor is missing. read more

Businesses on Yelp that I have visited or have used will have earned my criticism if there is an urgent need for change or major overhaul before I slap them with a negative review. IMHO businesses that advertise & or are listed on Yelp would do themselves, employees & future clients/customers a service by taking negative reviews seriously. With that being stated, Asti's business owners/partners should take note of this customer's experience. Asti appears to have tons going for it. Its footprint is spacious, it has off street parking & its decor is pleasing & it has a lovely outside dining area. It also has earned many positive reviews on food. Unfortunately this customer cannot comment on the food as we walked out after being forgotten about after being shown a booth after what was a little bit of a wait -no line- at the unmanned reception podium. To set the scene, we arrived before the Saturday evening dinner crowd - with a few other diners already enjoying service & food. After being shown our booth, we did receive water & bread by the water & bread person & then waited & waited & waited while the water & bread person stood by idly, staring at us from time to time while other employees & the bartender went about their unhurried business - as it was a mostly empty restaurant - often glancing over at us with no apparent sense of urgency to get us attended to. In fairness to the server who was attending to a couple of other tables near our booth, he did 'eventually' ask if we had been seen to & with our affirmation that we had not, he hurried off to the back mumbling where could so & so be ? Apparently so & so was assigned our table but was nowhere to be found. We continued to wait & wait then we left. On the way out the door we did mention to an employee that was walking towards the reception podium ( looked like mgmt ) that we were leaving due to lack of service. There was no reply. Exiting, we observed several employees engaged in light hearted convo with each other in the outside dining area that had yet to have any customers seated. Disappointed, we trudged down the block & took our chances at what looked to be a very busy Mexican restaurant where most outside tables were occupied & actively served. Well you know what they say, when one door closes, another one opens. We immediately were escorted to one of last inside tables & received, for the hour or so spent there, excellent food & drink & quick & friendly service. I had sincerely looked forward to a meal at Asti & though I may return to pick up a take home pizza, we won't attempt a sit down experience anytime soon. read more

Crowded. Loud. Overpriced. Inattentive waitstaff. Mediocre meal. Large portions. Cannot recommend. Other restaurants in the street.

Funny about the name here, they have an E at the front of the sign out front and the menu. Greek influence good selection and fine food. The bartender from Moldova was great. My pasta had so much shrimp on it that almost didn't finish. I will certainly me back is in Falmouth. read more

Service was a 4-5, very good. Ambiance was 4. Well decorated with music playing (Greek?). It's the food that is the issue. I'm here for work and needed a quick healthy meal. Ordered the Greek salad ($21) with a side of gyro meat ($12). For the price I was expecting an exceptional salad. What I got was basically a "make your own" salad with 4 huge slices of cucumber, 3 fat slices of tomato and almost 1/2 of a red onion (see picture). When I saw it I thought it was a mistake so I commented to the waitress "I ordered the Greek salad" to which she replied "this is that". So I began to slice up the ingredients to make my salad. I dropped a wet olive on my suit pants so that wasn't a good start to my meal. The gyro meat was more like beef brisket that was not seasoned. It had big chunks of gristle. I would have thought ordering gyro at a Greek restaurant would have been a good bet. $40+ (after tax and tip) for a lunch is a bit ridiculous for a salad that I have to make myself. read more

Food/Drinks: We opted for pickup, and this was our first time in the area. We tried the calamari pizza, and saying it was one of the best I've ever had would be an understatement. It was absolutely delicious the sauce was perfectly balanced, and the flavors were spot-on. I would genuinely make the trip back to Cape Cod just to have this pizza again. Location: The restaurant itself looks inviting , perfect for a first date, a family outing, or really any occasion. Since we only did pickup, I didn't get the full dine-in experience, but the atmosphere seemed warm and welcoming. Service: Although we only picked up our order, the service was prompt and efficient. I'm definitely planning to come back and dine in to get the full experience. Looking forward to it! read more

Pretty restaurant. On pricey side Very average service at bar and restaurant And good food, not great read more

Octopus was good, quite good. Greek burger was ok. We ordered takeout, there were signs for takeout pickup leading me to the back of their restaurant. I follow the signs and wind up standing at a counter for almost 10 minutes. At least 8 different wait people and staff walk by me without any acknowledgment or interaction. I wait patiently and watch 3 young people standing by the pizza oven, more interested. In talking to each other and checking their phones than helping patrons. I continued to wait patiently and finally a woman comes and gets me the food i ordered, then walks me all the way to the front of the restaurant because apparently they don't have a way to capture payment in back. In 2026. The woman either didn't have the ability or interest to cash me out so she has to go get a manger or asst manager. While the flavors were good the service was a joke. I won't go back. read more

Omg, what an excellent experience! Superb bar service and food was amazing!! Went at 3pm after a long bike ride and had the roasted coal fired wings which were so delicious, and then ordered the lobster pizza. Worst meal I've had out in a while. Ordered the swordfish kebab and it was so overcooked the swordfish pieces were hard and inedible. Risotto was dry and more like just plain rice. Didn't eat it. I would have complained to the server but we were celebrating a birthday with guests and didn't want to create any drama. Also they will not do separate checks although it would only have been two checks. Very disappointing. Will not return. Also we had a 6:30 seating on a quiet Tuesday and they were out of the mousaka and also the baklava. Really? A greek restaurant? read more

A Most Noble Feast Lo! Last night's supper was a banquet most divine, Whereat the house of Steak Gyro did play host To flavours bold and pleasures richly lined, Fit for a lord or fair queen's ghost. The gyro -- aye, well done, with noble pride, Didst sit upon the plate as warrior meat, With char and spice both hand in hand allied, A victory of flesh -- both fierce and sweet. But soft! The Aegean salad sang a song, Of olives dark and feta's briny kiss, Each bite a verse where nothing could go wrong, A Grecian dream, a verdant, leafy bliss. A skewer next -- of vegetables fair and bright, Each spear a painting wrought from garden's hand, Save only rice, o'erboiled in its plight, A soggy note in an otherwise grand band. Yet hummus, oh! That golden, silken pool, Did whisper truths from ancient Levantine days, So smooth, so rich -- it made the tongue a fool, Swooning in sesame and lemon's haze. And lo -- the cocktails! Spirits bold and high, Did leap and twirl like jesters in the glass, Exceeding all that one might prophesy, With each sip, joy did come to pass. The air? Ambrosial -- the ambiance sublime, Soft lights did dance as if in lovers' trance, And music wove through space and time, As if the stars themselves had chanced to dance. Services was exceeding expectations as always! Thus ended we the feast, with hearts alight, Well fed in flesh, in spirit, and in mirth. If ever thou seek'st to dine aright, Let Etsia show thee heaven upon Earth. read more

I was hoping for great things. The pizza was nothing special, the lamb lollypops undercooked & the wings were dry (and I know they're not traditional buffalo wings). It wasn't terrible, but wasn't worth a return ... at least for me. read more

(Last visited 5/4/2022.) While vacationing in Cape Cod with my wife we stumbled upon Estia at the end of downtown Falmouth so we had to check it out. Here's how it went! Atmosphere/Appearance: The outside of this place looks pretty legit and pretty chill. It's a Greek restaurant so there's lots of use of white painted bricks, a gorgeous outdoor section and lots of big glass windows. Inside though... this place really opens up! The ceiling is tall, the space is wide open and there are so many sections. It's really quite a large restaurant with a fish tank in the middle, several dining sections, a stone oven and a beautiful rustic/modern interior. Service: I can't remember who took care of us, but she was the bartender at the time. She was sweet, patient, funny, had great recommendations and made sure that we had a great time. Food: The complimentary bread/oil was an excellent touch and it harps back to Europe's "no-butter" approach to bread. However, I'm American, so I would've liked some butter or seasoned oil. Lol. For an appetizer I went with the traditional Greek salad. It consists of mixed greens, super creamy feta cheese, cherry tomatoes, olives and sprinkled with a delicious creamy dressing. It was light, the mixed greens were crispy and like I've already mentioned, delicious. For my entree I went with the lamb loin chops! This consists of 2 8 oz. pan-seared loin lamp chops drizzled with a Mavrodaphne demi-glaze and for my side I went with the mizithra mashed potatoes. Think of them as Greek mashed potatoes, it's hard to explain. These were delicious. There was a bone in each of the chops that you have to eat around, but it was totally worth it. Value: This place isn't bad at all. It's definitely a 3 out of 4 $$$ so that means to bring your wallet, but you won't leave wondering if you didn't get your money's worth. In conclusion, I loved this place and would certainly come back here! I would explore other parts of the menu to see what kind of range the chef has! ;-) read more

Probably the best Greek option in the area, nice atmosphere inside, friendly staff. The food was good, menu has the classics and done well. I enjoyed dining outside. Came in with low expectations and was still slightly disappointed with the food. The appetizer sampler was very salty (although that could be expected from feta, sausage, olives) but the spanakopita had an excellent filling to pastry ratio. The steak kebab was underseasoned and dry. The shrimp was well seasoned but still dry. Neither were overcooked, but just not that good. The orzo stew was a little watery, and tasted like sour mush. The salad looked like it came from a cafeteria. Cocktails were sweet and refreshing. The service was friendly and the vibes were excellent. Between that and the fact that I parked and walked in without a reservation, I enjoyed the meal thoroughly. Come here for drinks and ambience, not because the food will blow your socks off. read more

They don't take reservations in the summer, however, we originally came here on a Friday evening in July and were told they couldn't take anyone else on their waitlist for the night, which was frustrating. We did go back the next day for lunch and are glad we did! The vibe is fun and somewhat trendy. The food is amazing!! Such great flavor. I ordered the Spanakopita, which came with a small Greek salad. So, so good!! The bread they give you to start with the olive oil was 10/10. My son order a lamb ciabatta sandwich with truffle fries. My husband ordered the Aegean salad without cheese. Everyone loved their meals. Top notch! read more

Our server Steve was amazing! Outside tables were so cute, we were with a large group for a bachelorette party - maybe a little rambunctious but Steve was great and answered all our questions on food and drinks. For appetizers, I recommend the Sampler, zucchini chips, and octopus. For dinner, I recommend the grilled lamb and the fig raviolis. With the lamb, I ordered a glass of the Kechris Genesis Red, which was good! If you like white wine - Highly recommend a bottle of the Gavalas Santorini (100% Assyrtiko grapes)! Reminded me of a Greek Sancerre! I hope to go back soon and highly recommend it! read more

This Greek restaurant was a good choice for many with a variety of dishes to try - moussaka, spanakopita, octopus appetizer, good salads, and even a burger. We tried the lamb burger that comes with a side salad ($25) and an octopus appetizer ($26). The octopus appetizer was not great as said in the reviews - too charred, great texture, but very little taste. Guess since I grew up eating this as a regular dish, it was nothing special in my eyes. Moussaka was fabulous but a fairly large portion. Shareable dish as it is fairly large. . Lobster ravioli was delish, as were the shrimp kebabs. Dessert - chocolate cake was amazing but portokalopita was just ok. I should have stuck with the baklava, which sounded and looked great. Service was great, water was refilled. Ambiance is that of a fine restaurant - lots of glass and hard surfaces so a bit noisy. read more

Had a Greek salad. They used limp mixed greens rather than Romaine lettuce and were stingy with the Kalamazoo olives, allotting only 4. When I asked about whether they could use Romaine lettuce they said they did not because they had none. So it was basically just a salad with a few Kalamata olives. For $21. I was not impressed. The hummus was good, however - very fresh and delicious. They offer gluten free pita bread as well. read more

Great quality with everything! PIKILIA - we got the TYROKAFTERI (feta+roasted poblano ) which was our favorite, then the TZATZIKI and AVOCADO FETA. The tyorokafteri was creamy and had bits of the actual pepper in the hummus, and was roasty, creamy, nutty and delicious. Tzatziki was heavily seasoned with dill, cucumber and robustly flavored with that nice clean, tartness from the yogurt. The avocado feta was also super flavorful, and quite heavy on the feta pungent-ness, which was a little much for me but feta lovers this is for you! The pita was fluffy and chewy :) GRILLED OCTOPUS Tender pieces of octopus with a nice bouncy chew that doesn't overstay its welcome. Nice char, and acidity from the lemon. SPANOKOPITA Large, flaky feta cheese spinach in phyllo dough. They do not skimp with the filling, and the flavor was spot on, though I wish the item held up structurally better as when you go to fork or cut it, the filling spills out and the dough remains uncut - but this might just be a symptom of them stuffing it and giving you your moneys worth! Either way, yummy, and moderately oily but what can you expect from spanokopita? LOUKANIKO GYRO Greek sausage pita sandwich. They top it off with a few fries - the greek way! The fries were nicely crispy and potatoe-y. The pita was fluffy. The greek sausage's skin was hard to bite through after getting through the tender meat and had a smokey flavor. Enjoyable. GRILLED CHICKEN SANDWICH Tender grilled chicken with crispy, toasty, airy bread and a nice layer of guac and bacon to add some creaminess and savoriness. Really good even though you may not think much of a grilled chicken sandwich SHRIMP SAGANAKI OUZO Lots of shrimp pieces in a tomatoey, herby sauce. Great job! FRIED COD W RISOTTO The fried cod was well fried and flaky - falls apart to your fork. Good flavor and acidity from the lemon; the risotto was DELICIOUSLY creamy and cheesy and highly recommend getting this as your side or something with this! Lemon herb potatoes as one of our sides was also really well roasted, soft, bright and lemony without being too salty or sour. Really pleased with our dishes overall and would recommend this to a friend. read more
