    Greek salad. LOL
    Tommy H.

Service was a 4-5, very good. Ambiance was 4. Well decorated with music playing (Greek?). It's the food that is the issue. I'm here for work and needed a quick healthy meal. Ordered the Greek salad ($21) with a side of gyro meat ($12). For the price I was expecting an exceptional salad. What I got was basically a "make your own" salad with 4 huge slices of cucumber, 3 fat slices of tomato and almost 1/2 of a red onion (see picture). When I saw it I thought it was a mistake so I commented to the waitress "I ordered the Greek salad" to which she replied "this is that". So I began to slice up the ingredients to make my salad. I dropped a wet olive on my suit pants so that wasn't a good start to my meal. The gyro meat was more like beef brisket that was not seasoned. It had big chunks of gristle. I would have thought ordering gyro at a Greek restaurant would have been a good bet. $40+ (after tax and tip) for a lunch is a bit ridiculous for a salad that I have to make myself.

    Our go to at Estia.

Service is always great. Menu has a variety of options for every taste. Always have to get the bread! Wine list on point Outside seating is lovely. Must do if you are in Falmouth.

Steak and Shrimp Kebab Combo with Orzo Stew

I enjoyed dining outside. Came in with low expectations and was still slightly disappointed with the food. The appetizer sampler was very salty (although that could be expected from feta, sausage, olives) but the spanakopita had an excellent filling to pastry ratio. The steak kebab was underseasoned and dry. The shrimp was well seasoned but still dry. Neither were overcooked, but just not that good. The orzo stew was a little watery, and tasted like sour mush. The salad looked like it came from a cafeteria. Cocktails were sweet and refreshing. The service was friendly and the vibes were excellent. Between that and the fact that I parked and walked in without a reservation, I enjoyed the meal thoroughly. Come here for drinks and ambience, not because the food will blow your socks off.

(Last visited 5/4/2022.) While vacationing in Cape Cod with my wife we stumbled upon Estia at the end of downtown Falmouth so we had to check it out. Here's how it went! Atmosphere/Appearance: The outside of this place looks pretty legit and pretty chill. It's a Greek restaurant so there's lots of use of white painted bricks, a gorgeous outdoor section and lots of big glass windows. Inside though... this place really opens up! The ceiling is tall, the space is wide open and there are so many sections. It's really quite a large restaurant with a fish tank in the middle, several dining sections, a stone oven and a beautiful rustic/modern interior. Service: I can't remember who took care of us, but she was the bartender at the time. She was sweet, patient, funny, had great recommendations and made sure that we had a great time. Food: The complimentary bread/oil was an excellent touch and it harps back to Europe's "no-butter" approach to bread. However, I'm American, so I would've liked some butter or seasoned oil. Lol. For an appetizer I went with the traditional Greek salad. It consists of mixed greens, super creamy feta cheese, cherry tomatoes, olives and sprinkled with a delicious creamy dressing. It was light, the mixed greens were crispy and like I've already mentioned, delicious. For my entree I went with the lamb loin chops! This consists of 2 8 oz. pan-seared loin lamp chops drizzled with a Mavrodaphne demi-glaze and for my side I went with the mizithra mashed potatoes. Think of them as Greek mashed potatoes, it's hard to explain. These were delicious. There was a bone in each of the chops that you have to eat around, but it was totally worth it. Value: This place isn't bad at all. It's definitely a 3 out of 4 $$$ so that means to bring your wallet, but you won't leave wondering if you didn't get your money's worth. In conclusion, I loved this place and would certainly come back here! I would explore other parts of the menu to see what kind of range the chef has! ;-)

They don't take reservations in the summer, however, we originally came here on a Friday evening in July and were told they couldn't take anyone else on their waitlist for the night, which was frustrating. We did go back the next day for lunch and are glad we did! The vibe is fun and somewhat trendy. The food is amazing!! Such great flavor. I ordered the Spanakopita, which came with a small Greek salad. So, so good!! The bread they give you to start with the olive oil was 10/10. My son order a lamb ciabatta sandwich with truffle fries. My husband ordered the Aegean salad without cheese. Everyone loved their meals. Top notch!

    Salmon

One of our favorites in Falmouth. The Mediterranean food is always good - especially the salmon. Nice environment. Good service, too.

This Greek restaurant was a good choice for many with a variety of dishes to try - moussaka, spanakopita, octopus appetizer, good salads, and even a burger. We tried the lamb burger that comes with a side salad ($25) and an octopus appetizer ($26). The octopus appetizer was not great as said in the reviews - too charred, great texture, but very little taste. Guess since I grew up eating this as a regular dish, it was nothing special in my eyes. Moussaka was fabulous but a fairly large portion. Shareable dish as it is fairly large. . Lobster ravioli was delish, as were the shrimp kebabs. Dessert - chocolate cake was amazing but portokalopita was just ok. I should have stuck with the baklava, which sounded and looked great. Service was great, water was refilled. Ambiance is that of a fine restaurant - lots of glass and hard surfaces so a bit noisy.

Those are the doors where you go outside to a very spacious outside deck patio to eat again beautiful red on Main Street in Falmouth

Good Question I think you should call them to make sure closer to the period of time

Delicious dinner but noticed no masks on diners, wait staff, kitchen help or hostesses. How does Estia know all are vaccinated? No one asked or screened.

This restaurant complies with all mandatory Covid Regulations in the state of Massachusetts They have done this from the beginning And I believe will continue to do so as I see it they have tried very hard

Note: They DO NOT take reservations. They have a Waitlist (through YELP) that you can go through. Since we were headed there pretty early (5 pm), there was no waitlist, so we got right in :) The good: A beautiful restaurant conveniently located in the Mashpee Commons shopping area. Parking is easy, too. They also have an outdoor patio. For all you wine lovers like me, Greek wine is one of the best wines. Be sure to check out their wine menu and cocktails. I had one of their Sparkling Rosé (yum) and for dinner a Xinomavro. You may not be able to pronounce it, but trust me, it is amazing. They bring some fresh focaccia with olive oil. Also, the service was fantastic, which is always a plus. The food: So, I have been to Greece before, and nothing replaces the food in Greece. But I kept an open mind while eating here. We started with their Hummus and Pita, which I believe is Homemade and was worth every penny. My Mom had their Special Scallop dish, which was also fantastic. Since I never order the correct thing, LOL, I had their lamb chops and they were good but not great. They were a bit too charred, if you know what I mean, and the seasoning on them was a bit much. I also ordered their Horiatiki Salad, which, if you go to Greece, you will see. It is pretty much a Greek Salad but with no lettuce. I was a bit disappointed since this salad was huge and I could barely eat it. I ended up bringing it home to have leftovers. The feta and olives were amazing since they were on top and easy to get to. This would be a great salad to share. Overall: I did enjoy Estia, but I think next time I need to order something else. Cheers!

Well I've eaten at a lot of Greek restaurants here and in Greece and this is one of the best places I've ever been to, to have a good sit down Greek meal. Where I live there are great restaurants for any type of cuisine you can imagine and a great Greek restaurant but the one near me is more like the best fast food in Greece. (A gyro wrap is the most traditional Greek fast food you can get). If people every ask me where to go to try other great Greek dishes, I will tell them to go there, 10 minutes from where I live and and on the eat home come by and drop off their left overs. They accommodated us for a table of 7 and although it can be a bit loud, you can still talk to anyone in your party. But i would recommend getting a reservation so you don't have to rely on luck like we did. The prices might be a little higher than some of your typical sit down restaurants, but worth every penny.

My rookie mistake was not making a reservation on a Saturday night, but luckily, there were seats at the bar. The decor is simple yet stylish, but the vibe really stands out. IT was warm, lively and inviting. Every single staff member was welcoming and even the customers were friendly. This has been one of the best dining experiences I have experienced since moving to MA. The food was so good that I actually made the drive back and yes, I drove an hour there to eat (2 hours round trip). It's one of the best Greek food I've had in a long time, it is comparable to what I enjoyed when I visited Greece. For salads, the Horiatiki salad is a must. Appetizers, Kataifi shrimp was perfectly fried with a sauce that is sweet with a hint of spice. But, the grilled octopus, this is a must. You have to order it. I have not found a spot that cooks grilled octopus this good anywhere in NYC or here. This dish has brought me back to Greece. If you are dining with a large group, go for the Giovetsi Thalassinon. One of my absolute favorite dishes at Kosmos. The pasta grains are cooked perfectly, and the generous portion of seafood make it worth every penny. My wife and I like to call it a Greek paella. For meat lovers, the Poikia Keaton is also really good with different grilled meats on the dish. If they have any specials that night or day, you must try one of them. Overall, Kosmos delivers on everything; great food and warm hospitality which makes the drive worth it. This is hands down my favorite restaurant up here at MA.
